I would like to add this year a hole list of Hoya's 🤣 at 2 from this video but the undulata and viola are high in my list for this year.😊
Of course, had to add at least one hoya to my wishlist after this video, and I just got 3 wishlist hoyas (obovata, mathilide, rotundifolia) from Thailand, my first overseas purchase. Plants arrived as rooted cutings, very dehidrated but alive. Any tips to go from there? My plan was to keep them in water for 2 days before potting up...😊

New on my Hoya wishlist is a Hoya I have NEVER seen before, and for some reason I've only seen pictures on instagram. Not quite sure if this name is the real name but it's called Hoya Carnosa Madara. I need this in my life
All beautiful hoyas, buntok silver seen only once, but rest are very possible to get only price's still high.

flowers when it comes to new hoya available on the market . Most of the time here in Australia, same same flowers but higher price tags Hahaha

I would say the color of Hoya exilis flowers is "opalescent"...? Which is not a color but rather a quality but usually, opalescent things are whiteish! They're quite beautiful, and kinda look like they were made out of Cinderella's glass slippers 👠
I have 2 hoyas on my list: H. sp. Tam Dao and H. lockii!
Those are great! I have both, and I really love lockii for its flowers & how early it blooms and sp.Tam Dao has gorgeous leaves!
When is a good time / not a good time to repot my Hoya lacunosa? It is flowering right now. When I water it the water runs right through it so I think it could be very little soil left? Thanks

My Hoya wishlist consists of the Hoya Wilbur Graves, Hoya Nicholsoniae New Guinea Ghost and Hoya Crassipetiolata splash. That's it. And I will lose enough money on them already
Ohhh that Hoya jiewhoeiana is very rare. Even though it is from Malaysia (where I am now) non of the collectors here have them. I heard a hushhush one of the collector asking for someone to poach it in nature but to no avail.
Thank you for that insight! I looked around Europe with the biggest collectors here to see if anyone has it and no one does! So I was not wrong assuming it was hard to find. I REALLY hope they don't poach it!
@@BasiePlants no worries. The place it can be found is deep in a reserve forest with ranger thus protected 😊😊😊 and local hunter dont really know what hoya is, they focus more on orchids & nepenthes.
Hoya gunung gading...it started with that one and I still WANT that one. Had i three times already but that one does not like living with me 😥... I'm on a "no by plants" this year....so far so good😇...although very tempted (H.buntuk)...but noooo...no...(it's still cold outside)
Oh really? sp. Gunung Gading has been quite a good hoya for me! It grew 2 meters last year so I did cut it back by a lot to sell some cuttings so I can afford some new hoyas. It slowed down since but it seems to be picking up again! I hope you can get it again and that it grows well this time. 💚

My top ‘realistic’ wishlist hoya for the year is gunung gading. I’m still in my large, veiny, sun stressed leaf era of hoya lust. I’m in the US and it’s consistently well over $100 for even 1 leaf. To each their own, but I have an absolute rule not to spend more than $100 on any plant. I’m seeing the price come down slowly on gunung gading. So I’m hopeful this will be the year I’m able to get one. My completely out of reach, never going to happen wishlist hoya is argentea princess. I enjoy variegation & silver. But I’m not someone who is obsessed with those characteristics. However, there’s something about the argentea princess that is just so stunning to my eye. But for the price of a small greenhouse, I definitely won’t be buying one…ever

Hi, the first one in your wishlist is also often called H. jiewhoe(i)ana. Perhaps try using both names to look for information.
Yes, I know about that misspelling :) However, it was pointed out to me this is a very rare hoya and some collectors have even asked for Hoya hunters to poach it. Thankfully the National park it can be found in is guarded so let’s hope they don’t actually poach it. I will stop looking for it as well :)
@@BasiePlants I have actually came across someone from Indonesia trying to sell a jiewhoeana, but its authenticity is suspect.
Hoya lyi, Hoya dennisii, Hoya occultata, Hoya medinillinifolia, Hoya latifolia "pot of gold", Hoya amicabilis..........seems my wishlist is endless. But space and money are not. xD

Apparently, chinese version has a lomger leaves, same time russian is more rounded… but the flowers look the same😁

this spring i’m looking to get hoya campanulata and sigillatis. i hope i get lucky
They are both lovely! I am sure it will be easy to find sigillatis, it has become very affordable, but it is so gorgeous and worth having 💚
I did some looking into pachyclada vs subquintuplinervis. I don't have the variegated varieties but I have 2 clones. One is very succulent and round. The other has larger leaves and not so succulent. Both have that wonderful fuzz. So I'm wondering if the variegated varieties also had those differences in clones? Edited again- H. exilis porcelain (glass looking) and pearl colored? Lol sorry I keep writing as I watch.
I think the innervarieagted one does have fuzz. My outervariegated one has SOME but it is very very hard to notice. I think that is a perfect description for exilis :D

Miro I have a question about Hoya Silver Dollar MB1405-A. I found several of them, but there is a G at the end so it would be Hoya Silver Dollar MB1405-AG. Is there a difference?
There should be no G. Mike Bernardo had two seedlings: Hoya 'Silver Dollar' MB14059-A and 'Penny's Treat' MB1405-B. These are two seedlings from the same seedpod. Someone has added G at the end (not Mike) and I don't think this was right to do. Now they are selling another plant that is less silvery and more splashy and calling it either 'Silver Dollar' MB1405-AG clone B or 'Silver Dollar' MB1405 clone B... Probably some other names too. All incorrect. This is a reverted part of Silver Dollar and if someone wanted to establish it as a cultivar, should have named it differently. A lot of confusion has been created here.
I am trying to figure out what Hoya has the largest round leaves out there? Not interested in the flowers, I just want something with a Hoya growth pattern and giant round leaves. I have a vision for an area of my home…Like a jumbo mathilde?
I don't know any that are giant but look like 'Mathilde'. Hoya lambii gets very big and it is pretty round but not as 'Mathilde' :)

Hi Miro, Awhile ago I read somewhere there are 200 species of Hoya. 1) is that true, 2) can you list them 😱 and 3) how many of them do you have?! 🌿🌱

I could never afford any of these Hoyas but it was fun looking at the photos. I’m excited because my Hoya Multiflora got here in good shape. Two leaves. It will be fun watching it grow. I also got a tiny Hoya Linearis. I have a Hoya Australis Lisa on the way. My collection is growing. 💚🪴🌱🌿💚
Don’t say never :) The more your collection grows, the more cuttings you will be able to trade or sometimes even sell. I have many hoyas that are considered commnon and cheap but are not readily availble on the market :) So you know, if you have 10 like those and offer cuttings for $5 each, you can get yourself an undulata. And so on :) At one point it becomes more “sustainable”. :) Yoh also get to meet wonderul people so you get some cuttings as gifts. I got my nicholsoniae ‘New Guinea Ghost’ NS16-006 as a gift from a dear friend I met through hoyas, even though it goes for a pretty penny!
