That’s actually interesting considering western Muslims are less progressive than the ones in Muslim countries. You will be surprised by what you see in the youth who live in Muslim lands. But what’s good about Muslim countries is the adhan and the people looking like you. But still people our age are more progressive and wanting to be like westerners.
This is insanely inspiring, mashallah this video already has touched my heart. As a writer, it's incredible storytelling how the tensions circle back to the beginning of the video and the way it all started with a man's opinion of women's prayer rooms. Culture needs to be once again overwritten with quran and sunnah. The teacher’s explanations are on point. I'm so hyped, definitely going to be here for the next video.

The title is VERY clickbaity and I thought it was going to be one of those videos slandering women like so many of the videos in my recommendations have been (it's very exhausting) so I skipped it. I saw a clip on Instagram and it looked like it wasn't what the title suggested so I came back to check it out and it was actually good! I think the title is misleading, but hopefully it attracts those brothers (and sometimes sisters) who are obsessed with these "Man DESTROYS hijabi woman feminist liberal..." videos and knock some sense and REAL masculinity into them
@EverythingAndroid Ois the ultimate role model for masculinity, which is the Prophet Muhammad SAW.A lot of the videos I have seen on such topics is just these men trying to be this "alpha male" and yelling and degrading women under the guise of "this is Islam!" The Prophet SAW was gentle, emotionally intelligent, and his character was not like a lot of these argumentative guys. It's sad, honestly. We all know men and women have different roles in society and in the household, but the way of delivery is horrible
@@attas8790 I understand what you are saying, maybe you are referring to Mahdi Tjidandi. But there are others who are making clear gender roles who are men, and they are doing it well while acknowledging kindness, care, and sacrifice from both sides, while maintaining obedience of the husband and fulfilling other rights that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stressed. Not sure why you don't mention the Prophet (saw) said it was better for a woman to pray at home, in the center of her home, away from all windows and eyes. But you only mention don't forbid her from going to the mosque? Truth be told Its much easier to pray at home. While she gets full reward at home I have to go to the masjid to receive the same. I am a Muslim living in Japan. Since entering high school, I have had a fear of not wearing the hijab because of religious orders. on the other hand I also have a fear of discrimination. Do you think this is permissible in Islam for the safety? can you make a video about it?
Discrimination by some is not a good reason to ignoring an obligation. However, if you are in a case where people in a community will harm you if you wear it then I have heard Scholars allow this, but it is under a state of having no other choice, not this case. Japan is not a racist place as far as I have seen, they are understanding of Muslim people and even have many halal places in colleges I have heard. Try your best to wear it and please Allah, even if you displease some people. "5 For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 6 Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 7 So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. 8 And to your Lord direct [your] longing." - Quran 94: 5-8. "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions." - Quran 4:69. "Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. That’s such a good question…I’m a hijabi in Canada, and I was afraid to put it on because I went to a mostly white populated school where no one wore the hijab. My school rules state that no discrimination/hateful attacks can be made against another for their beliefs/ethnicity/race, e.t.c. I’m not sure about your region and your country’s regulations though. Are you able to seek protection in any way? Maybe someone could protect you? Maybe your friends would support your choice to wear it and they’ll protect you? Protection is a pretty big aspect because I know it hurts to be discriminated against for your beliefs.
Why do you call it "the islamic tradition" ? It's not a folklore dance or an attire it's not something that people blindly copied from their elders like a tradition would, it's the hadith of our prophet and the extensive and thorough scholarly work of our umma's scholars. We should stop using that word.
Scholars have different opinions on these things according to the school of law. That is why it’s called tradition. The scholars are our elders inheriting from each generation.

Make sure you fully understand Islamic law. Listen well to the above, The man is supposed to pay for the woman's maintenance, even if it is in Europe. Many Muslim men are happy for their wives to go out to work full-time, give them money, and leave them with pennies. Then 30 years later, he says, you did nothing. After spending a life of cleaning, cooking, washing, and working. In Islam the woman can hold the divorce, meaning she can divorce him if she wishes, but many men usually want that as well. Be prepared, for the big shift, you will leave all your family, behind. Once married, you're told, no music in the house, no pictures, toys, statues, everything. YOU HEAR THE WORDS, YOUR THE QUEEN OF THE HOUSE, YOUR LIGHT, LIGHTS UP THIS ROOM. ALL NICE WORDS. WATCH THE ACTIONS. Does he/she take you out to nice places, NOT JUST MACDONALS.

As a woman, this was not helpful at all. And it is definitely not helpful for young Muslim men in the West. The video made it seem like Islamic principles are in accordance to liberal values on "equality" but that is simply false. Men have authority over women and one of the reasons is that they are responsible for their family's well-being and security. Why are we watering this down by saying men and women have equal value in front of Allah? That goes without saying and does not need to be repeated. What does need to be repeated is that wives must respect and obey their husbands. This conjures up images of a tyrannical husband with a doormat wife only because we have been fed the Western, liberal worldview. Reality is far more nuanced. If Andrew Tate's popularity has taught me anything, it is that men are sick of being told they are domineering and toxic for not giving in to women's demands for "equality".
Men and women are equal in reward. Meaning, no gender will get reward or more reward because of their gender. If thats what the imaam is talking about, then that is not watering down the religion but is part of the religion. But in marriage, Men have a greater right than the wife because of the things you mentioned.
As another Muslim woman, I agree with you! I had high hopes for this video when I saw it posted, but it’s really watering down the roles of men and women.

Yet the main guy in the video who refers to Qur'an and is supposed to be one of the two extremes is portrayed as arrogant and evil, while the main girl in the video, who's supposed to be other side of the extreme is portrayed to be a more decent person. Associating that guy with such improper qualities is major BS to me. Shaykh speaks correct but incomplete and tries to appeal feminists which is also another major BS. Bad video overall.
Exactly my thoughts. I can smell feminist propaganda so easily now that from the first 2 minutes I knew they were trying to categorize “strong traditional Muslim men” into the “heartless, evil, racist, arrogant, misogynist” category. Therefore making the audience despise him and his views regardless of what he is saying is from the Quran. Why was it necessary for him to purposely lie to a random Muslim sister about praying in a dirty janitorial closet? Why does he have to racistly classify the Pakistani brother as another Indian? Straight propaganda

Who would buy clothes for you? this is the pov of a man. needless to say, women and men need each other. that is my answer, this debate has gone on for to long. (muslim speaking)
A very useful video since even today muslim men are rude to women when attending mosques for prayers, as if they dont belong. How does that even make sense if we honour the Spirit of Islamic teachings. Maybe shed some light on 2 women to 1 man as witnesses also. The more truth we have on gender equality in Islam the better off we’ll all be in everyday life. May Allah swt guide us all.
One point of small criticism... Great episode but the Professor's balanced answer was slightly incomplete. He did not mention that when there is a conflict, the husband is the final decision-maker( wife obeys) in family matters as long as he upholds financial security.
Also the skit ignored that the woman made an incorrect statement that painted patriarchy as bad, when that is the norm of the entire world. Islam is patriarchal, and every nation to have ever succeeded was a patriarchy at its start. When nations make women the leaders they almost always go into a decline, we can see this in the west right now. Men have rights just like women do, and we get unfairly sidelined in these discussions because its not politically correct.

The women get more rewards on praying home..he should have mentioned that.. the rewards will not change even after 1400 years..I know there are exceptions. If you are traveller's or during work it's a different case..Otherwise Muslims should look for more reward..
@HudaKhizar But with regard to women, their prayer offered at home is better, because of the marfoo’ hadith of Umm Salamah: “The best places of prayer for women are the innermost parts of their houses.” Narrated by Ahmad in al-Musnad, 6/297; classed as hasan by the editors of al-Musnad. In the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) which was narrated by al-Bukhari, it says: “(The reward for) the prayer of a man offered in congregation is multiplied.” This indicates that the reward for a woman’s prayer offered in congregation is not multiplied, because her prayer in her house is better for her. End quote. Fath al-Bari, 4/34
@HudaKhizarPraise be to Allah. Firstly: A woman's prayer in her house, even if it is offered alone, is better and brings a greater reward than her prayer in the mosque, even if it is offered in congregation. This is indicated by many hadiths from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). It says in al-Mawsoo’ah al-Fiqhiyyah (8/231): The fuqaha’ are unanimously agreed that a man's prayer in the mosque in congregation is better than his praying alone in his house, because of the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Prayer in congregation is twenty-five times better than the prayer of one of you on his own.” According to another report: “twenty-seven times better.” Agreed upon. But with regard to women, their prayer offered at home is better, because of the marfoo’ hadith of Umm Salamah: “The best places of prayer for women are the innermost parts of their houses.” Narrated by Ahmad in al-Musnad, 6/297; classed as hasan by the editors of al-Musnad. End quote. See also the answer to question number 90071. With regard to the virtue of praying in congregation in the mosque, this is only for men, because they are the ones who are commanded to go out to it, except for the Eid prayer, the reward of which is multiplied for women too, because they are commanded to go out to it. Hence Ibn Daqeeq al-‘Eid said: As women are encouraged to go out to the mosque, they should be equal with men (in reward) because the fact that men are mentioned with regard to the reward for actions is does not mean that the reward is limited to them in sharee’ah. End quote. Ihkaam al-Ahkaam Sharh ‘Umdat al-Ahkaam, 1/193 Al-Haafiz Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him) said: In the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) which was narrated by al-Bukhari, it says: “(The reward for) the prayer of a man offered in congregation is multiplied.” This indicates that the reward for a woman’s prayer offered in congregation is not multiplied, because her prayer in her house is better for her. End quote. Fath al-Bari, 4/34. Something similar was said by al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar in his commentary on the hadith of the seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the Day when there will be no shade but His, among whom is “a man whose heart was attached to the mosques.” Al-Haafiz was of the view that this applies only to men, because a woman's prayer offered in her house is better than in the mosque. Fath al-Bari, 2/147. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The multiplied reward which is attained by praying in congregation applies only to men, because they are the ones who are called to it in the sense of it being obligatory. Hence the wording of the hadith is: “(the reward) for a man praying in congregation is twenty-five times greater than (the reward) for his praying in his house or in the marketplace.” Based on this, women do not attain this reward; indeed the scholars differed with regard to whether it is prescribed for women to pray in congregation separately from the men in their houses or in schools. Some of them said that it is Sunnah for them to pray in congregation; others said that it is permissible for them to pray in congregation; and some said that it is makrooh for them to pray in congregation. End quote. See the answer to question number 12093. And Allah knows best.

I know this is a skit but it reflects what really occurs here in the west that’s why Ramadan I have even went more Monk mode to mentally prepare myself for hijrah the behavior of progressive Muslim men & women alike drove me out
mashallah brother

Not informative in the slightest actually. Walking on eggshells to appease the brainwashed and the masses. Everything was said in a vacuum and without context or any level of analysis. Not even preconditions we’re discussed.
I think the title is misleading, but hopefully it attracts those brothers (and sometimes sisters) who are obsessed with these "Man DESTROYS hijabi woman feminist liberal..." videos and knock some sense and REAL masculinity into them
What is the real masculinity you speak of?
These individuals like Daniel Haqiqatjou and Mohammed Hijab I would say. You should definitely give Daniel a watch on these topics, anyway Assalamualaykum, hope this was beneficial.

Preach
MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU SISTER
Men and women are equal in reward. Meaning, no gender will get reward or more reward because of their gender. If thats what the imaam is talking about, then that is not watering down the religion but is part of the religion.
But in marriage, Men have a greater right than the wife because of the things you mentioned.
As another Muslim woman, I agree with you! I had high hopes for this video when I saw it posted, but it’s really watering down the roles of men and women.

@HudaKhizarPraise be to Allah.
Firstly:
A woman's prayer in her house, even if it is offered alone, is better and brings a greater reward than her prayer in the mosque, even if it is offered in congregation. This is indicated by many hadiths from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
It says in al-Mawsoo’ah al-Fiqhiyyah (8/231):
The fuqaha’ are unanimously agreed that a man's prayer in the mosque in congregation is better than his praying alone in his house, because of the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Prayer in congregation is twenty-five times better than the prayer of one of you on his own.” According to another report: “twenty-seven times better.” Agreed upon.
Hence Ibn Daqeeq al-‘Eid said:
As women are encouraged to go out to the mosque, they should be equal with men (in reward) because the fact that men are mentioned with regard to the reward for actions is does not mean that the reward is limited to them in sharee’ah. End quote.
Ihkaam al-Ahkaam Sharh ‘Umdat al-Ahkaam, 1/193
Al-Haafiz Ibn Rajab (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
In the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) which was narrated by al-Bukhari, it says: “(The reward for) the prayer of a man offered in congregation is multiplied.” This indicates that the reward for a woman’s prayer offered in congregation is not multiplied, because her prayer in her house is better for her.
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The multiplied reward which is attained by praying in congregation applies only to men, because they are the ones who are called to it in the sense of it being obligatory. Hence the wording of the hadith is: “(the reward) for a man praying in congregation is twenty-five times greater than (the reward) for his praying in his house or in the marketplace.”
Based on this, women do not attain this reward; indeed the scholars differed with regard to whether it is prescribed for women to pray in congregation separately from the men in their houses or in schools. Some of them said that it is Sunnah for them to pray in congregation; others said that it is permissible for them to pray in congregation; and some said that it is makrooh for them to pray in congregation. End quote.
