Destiny 2 - The Dark Ages (Curse of Osiris & Warmind)

- Destiny 2 The Dark Ages. Curse of Osiris and Warmind were considered to be the Dark Ages of Destiny 2. For good reason. Destiny 2 had one of the worst launch releases in history. Destiny 2 would need to scrap so much of the initial ideas for the game, yet we had 2 expansions coming soon. Curse of Osiris DLC and Warmind DLC. Destiny 2 History Series continues with this episode focused on Destiny 2 and its first 2 DLC's.

I just found this channel, and man this is exactly what I needed. There must be thousands just like me who took a 1-2 year break from the game and feel like they just missed everything.
I can catch myself up on lore easily, I love that shit. But the actual real story going on behind the gameplay is something I plainly missed out on and can’t get back (even if all im missing was a worse version of the game)
Just wanted to say thanks for these, not just are they entertaining but I feel like im actually learning stuff lmao.
(Also, it’s rare to see a destiny youtuber and not feel like im being mislead for clicks and watch time :) )
After 3 months shadowkeep released I just completely stopped playing tbh
I took a 8 year break so I really need this
The worst part was how well destiny 1 finished and how they managed to destroy all that hard work
Wish they stuck to D1 and never went with D2.
@@AxisChurchDevotee couldn't agree more. They messed up so much in D2 that I no longer even play the game. Honestly I would love to go back to D1 launch day and play through the entire thing again.
@@AxisChurchDevotee shut the hell up little boy. D1 looking back was far inferior, and we would still be stuck on a 360/ps4 built game. Now, be quiet and let the Men speak here
@@KellysHeroes777 I think a lot of this is coated in nostalgia. I’d be inclined to agree that the game didn’t launch the way it should have but that was also 5 years ago.
Go back and play D1, You’ll likely enjoy yourself for a little bit but the rigid gameplay choices and the lack in general quality of life updates will remind you that at present Destiny 2 is a considerably more polished game with a lot more content.
@@hokuwong being more polished doesn't make it a better game imo. I've been back and play D1 plenty of times and it instantly more enjoyable. Maybe it's some nostalgia but it's also the fact D1 was just more fun.
A couple of other notable points in Warmind that I think are worth mentioning: The Worldline Zero quest and the Valkyrie ARG. The Worldline quest required that you find little colored targets all over Mars and hit them with an element matching their color (or with the Javelin). Finding all of them required you to really search everywhere on the new destination in a way that CoO and vanilla had not. The Valkyrie ARG started with a symbol in the hallway leading to Rasputin and was a pretty large scale community puzzle leading to an IRL Valkyrie and some coins with a Warmind symbol on them at a certain location. Both of these, along with the Whisper mission, were Bungie putting secrets back into the game, things to do in the game outside of the standard gameplay loop. Forsaken came with secrets in abundance, but Warmind was the start of those being brought back into the game.
eh, i wouldn't really call myself something THAT interasting to do the quest to get, espectially when you put the Valkyrie ARG thing on the side with it, plus i came earlier in the progress of those things than the sparrow which was weird, like i needed only 35 of the nodes while the sparrow needed 45, which might of been like that on purpose so you could get me easily-ish and then on top of that go and get a cool and for the most part useless sparrow to have, or to put it in other words, the sparrow might of just been something extra for getting all of them, or i am that one thing you really want(ed) to get in the battlepass and the rest, in this case the stuff after that thing you wanted are whatever. idk, something like that, but yeaa... i at least still have some tricks and i am IMO fun to use, (incert surprised pikachu face). and you know, i'm saying that as a player not as the weapon itself talking about itself being good and fun or whatever.
I think one of the things that should have been mentioned too was the difficulty of Escalation protocol.
It was a good activity, but the fact that it was basically impossible for a lot of people until you actively manipulated lobbies (talk to blueberries until you found one willing to invite your friends and leave) to have 9 people and still barely complete it was ridiculous. And the weapons and armor were rare af with no bad luck protection what-so-ever.
Good event, but i remember personally waiting until season of undying to actually go back and get the weapons when it was more doable
I quite liked the Curse of Osiris weapons. Jack Queen King 3, Machina Dei 4, Sol Pariah 6 were some of the best looking IMHO. It would be great to see them come back
They still great weapons. I pull them out and even now they feel really good.
Agree!
It's funny that I still go back to D1 to have fun. D2 is in a very good state, probably the best it's ever been. However, I personally prefer D1's art direction, strikes, exciting loot, and its cohesive weapon and armor designs over D2, despite the lack of QoL mechanics and graphical fidelity. A testament to how much love and care was put into Destiny 1 compared to Destiny 2.
I actually really loved Warmind, I'm glad you showed many of the great things that it brought. My favorite part was the theme that played in Orbit, my favorite song in all of Destiny's history by far. Amazing video
thank you!
It's really interesting looking at this stuff as they were at the time. When I joined destiny in season of the Worthy I had the opportunity to play through the full story progression. I actually really liked the campaigns because I could just move on to the next one afterwards. I wish new lights today were able to have the experience I had. That would be a destiny I would be proud to tell everyone to try.
Lmao that’s what I remember. I use to help new players get started on D1, but now you need to explain to them that they need to spend $40 minimum😂
You should see the new player experience these days. It’s truly embarrassing.
Thrown into a random intro mission that you have no idea about, then bombarded with random pop ups, then it’s up to you to find what’s next. Assumably, as a clueless new player, you go to the director and look for the next mission, only to realise it’s locked behind the DLC, fair enough, what else is there? Patrols and strikes and crucible? If you’ve just loaded up destiny you wouldn’t even know what those things are.
I’ve read many threads of new players who have played a couple of strikes and crucible games before turning the game off, not even visiting the tower…. because they don’t know what the fuck it is😂😂
@@kdburner7356 I haven't played the newest version post lightfall. I tried to get some of my friends to play a couple months ago and it's was a nightmare to try and navigate because I can't see the quest steps and they have to find it in the menus and tell me what needs to be done so I can help.
The eater of world armor wasn't a reskin of the levi armour just to let u know
I think he meant stat wise
Yeah but did you consider D1 good D2 bad?
@@jackdipompeo7732 still incorrect
@@jackdipompeo7732 he's talking about how the SoS armor was the same as EOW armor
@@saiinttedd oh ok
The prestige leviathan armor looks nothing like the eater of worlds armor. Its the eater of worlds armor that looks like the spire of stars armor
^^^
Yep, both lairs have the same armor with difference shaders and some bit and pieces here and there, the ugliest armor set in the entire franchise imo
@@MrAncop base spire is the ugliest imo, but the prestige ornaments fixed a lot of the shading issues.
I started playing Destiny 2 with the Curse of Osiris expansion, so I missed all of D1 and the initial launch of D2. Seeing this series of videos you've been making really puts a lot of things I missed into perspective. It's fascinating to see the state of the game with each release. There's also a certain nostalgia factor in seeing Curse of Osiris and Warmind, even Red War. There are so many things from that time that just aren't in the game anymore. I find myself going "OH! I forgot that was a thing!" or "I miss that" a lot. Thank you for all your hard work on these videos. Each time I see you've uploaded I get really excited.
Love your retrospective videos man. Keep ‘em coming
You would have been an unbelievable bard in the Middle Ages. Walking from village to village telling stories. This was an amazing ride into the past. I lived thru all of it. I still massively miss Escalation Protocol. That shutgun was in my dreams, Trench barrel and all. One of the best activities in Destiny history, on the level with Prison Elders and my beloved Court of Oryx. I would play it NOW if it was reintroduced. That's how good it was. Excellent, excellent video.
Glad you enjoyed! Happy to entertain 💪🏼
I can't wait when you finally cover forsaken era
Loving this series!
It’s really interesting going back and seeing these different expansions when they released.
Keep up the great work!
Man I'm digging the background D1 tracks!!!! 🥰
Love this style of video. Nice work 👏
thank you for your consistent upload schedule, you dont need to push it too hard
Can’t express how much I enjoy the content lately, really well done. I also just finished your Destiny 1 series and am eager to start anew there again too for the state of d2 atm is not really enjoyable for me
Thank you! Glad you enjoy!
I will always remember the time I ran into you leaving spider on the tangled shore haha. Had just started following ur channel and then saw you there and was like NO WAY! Great vid man, keep em coming!
That’s awesome! Thanks for the support!
3:06 to be fair Destiny 1 did the exact same thing with the first few expansions. Nobody told Bungie to shove it back then and that’s why it happened again
I remember I stopped playing from Launch Vanilla D2 and didn’t return until Season of Arrivals dropped and from there on is when Destiny once again consumed every second of my life. But ever since Lightfall was revealed I’ve been back on another hiatus because I did not like what I saw in the slightest and that’s really unfortunate because it’s looking like I’ll never return to this game again
Warmind was part of “The Dark Ages.” But grinding for the escalation weapons is something I miss. Easily the best seasonal activity Bungie ever made.
Menagerie the other hand really set a standard they're yet to meet. ESPECIALLY how the loot worked, where you essentially pick and choose the gun AND its masterwork you're getting. And with some upgrades you got once a week up to THREE copies, three times the odds of getting the roll you want. Now? 10-17min blueberryfest and you get a SINGULAR item in the end and it's 110% random and if it's armor, the stats WILL suck cause it's not an ""endgame source"" IE a raid etc.
Warmind was slowly getting out of the dark ages since the whisper quest dropped during the end of that season I think it was
Your vids are great brother. Been binging since I found your channel. Keep it up!
Thank you!
Glad you are back on the content bro, keep it up.
Thanks!
amazing video once again, really managed to capture the disapointment we all felt around Curse of Osiris and leading up to Warmind. My fireteam came back during CoO, did what we needed to do and left again, but around Warmind we got a lot more active again. I remember it being a turning point and us actually finishing off the boring stuff from curse of Osiris we neglected to do. though, the real turning point for us to get more active in D2 was after E3, I do admit I expected an interlude to THAT trailer and how it shook the Fanbase. but I'm guessing you're saving that for the Forsaken video. I'm Really looking forward to that one!
Forsaken video is coming soon!
The Curse of Osiris was pretty bad, but i looked at the Concept Art for D2: Warmind and it depressed me. So much cool stuff was considered, Rasputin getting an Exo body, Nokris's Hive being much more unique, the Worm God being much more grand and ornate, Nokris being much more grand and ornate, the Cabal using a MECH, more Warmind Robots...we missed out on so much.
Keep going your amazing work!💪🏼
Absolutely hyped for the forsaken video, jumping from a lackluster raid lair to what last wish was (until cheeses were found ofc) was insaneeeee
Yes! The Forsaken Episode is coming soon!
The only endgame in D2 vanilla was the exotic farm, but from the fact that you could just spam heroic *PUBLIC EVENTS* to check off that list in 3 weeks, I nearly quit and forgot about D2.
Curse of Osiris and Warmind are tough to talk about. Mainly because these DLCs both have to do with topics that I was extremely invested in.
First let’s talk about Curse. Easily the worst DLC and time in Destiny’s history. They gave us basically nothing for its content. They ruined Brother Vance by making him a ridiculous fanboy. They ruined Mercury by making literally everything there be inside of the terrible Infinite Forest. Don’t get me started on Osiris. It was so much better when he was a mysterious, powerful and dangerous Warlock who “came to close to understanding the Vex”. Now he’s just an old guy who knows about the Vex and can travel through the Infinite Forest. Great. Eater of Worlds is easily the worst raid ever. One encounter is actually just ad waves. The only cool things that were available were in Eververse.
Warmind is much better but also still not good. Ana Bray was an ok character, I didn’t really have a problem with her like I did with Osiris and Brother Vance. I like what they did with Mars. I would’ve preferred a new planet but having a brand new area of Mars was fine. The story was abysmal. They absolutely ruined Xol and Nokris. Such interesting characters in the lore made into weak punching bags. Nokris got redeemed by Season of Arrivals but Xol just got turned into a gun. It would’ve been so much better to have them as raid bosses. Escalation Protocol was amazing, however. It was always a bitch to complete but the loot and the experience were always worth it. Spire of Stars was much better than EoW mainly because of Val Ca’uor. That boss fight was always one of my favorites.
(Yeah Whisper gets its own section. That’s how good it is.)
Whisper is what made Destiny 2 good. It had a great atmosphere, difficulty, secrets, lore and loot. It brought back that sense of wonder to the game which it had been lacking for its entire life.
as bad as the d2 have gotten until forsaken, i actually really liked Mars. it was a nice place to just go explore, i loved the atmosphere and escalation protocol fucking slapped imo but yeah it still wasnt enough to keep my interest
Dude, I love this series man. Keep up the great work
Thank you!
Loving the videos mate so good and keep it up. And I miss these two campaigns, I would be replaying them if I could 😉 😭 😭 😱 legend great channel. 😊
thanks man! glad you're enjoying the content!
Looking back even t worst content n droughts made an impression... I miss those days... never forget those Sunday sessions till 4 5 in t morning n going to work w/o sleeping but happy n fulfilled for beating t new raid or going flawless... can remember when n felt that way in d2... honestly... I stopped playing d2 (once again) 2 seasons ago w my lightfall pre order... sad to say I canceled it last week... I miss destiny a bunch but not d2... fingers crossed one day we can have d3 n going back to t roots ... thx for your vida love ur channel
Now this is the vid I was waiting for ❤
I love these retrospectives mate, cheers. So interesting to look at my D2 Heatmap relative to this. My playtime was super high the first week D2 came out, but dropped off once there wasn't anything to do. I hardly logged in until CoO released, which I played for about 2 weeks before dropping again. Warmind held me a fair bit longer, especially on reset days (one of my days off work). I loved the tone of Warmind, I just really wish that the strikes had been a bit more Rasputin focused, and that Nokris and Xol had been saved for a raid in a new location, rather than having yet another raid lair on the Leviathan.
Yeah warmind had some good things like the whisper mission and escalation protocol. The strikes were fun gameplay-wise but MASSIVE let downs when it was Nokris and Xol who should’ve been raid bosses. Glad you enjoy the series!
I am today years old learning that DFA, Silicon and Duty Bound are all returning weapons from previous releases. Probably cuz I was with the majority and didn't give destiny the time of today during these two dlcs
I remember switching to PC a week before the go fast update. The change to movement speed, weapons, nightfall loot, and most importantly for me was they fixed raid loot so you where guaranteed a loot drop after every encounter and not just tokens (as well as raid mods for the Leviathan armour exclusive to that armour and they were strong mods).
Warning was special, nothing has been like escalation protocol back in the day, back when you needed 7-9 players to beat it and Spire of Stars was a really good raid (just heavily misunderstood) (and with terrible loot outside of the sleeper catalyst that got added months after launch).
Whisper of the Worm showed me how great the game could be. The community was buzzing. Loot was amazing. Encounter was unique and encapsulated what Destiny can offer. I held out hope and continued to play even through the dark times. I'm glad I did. Don't get me wrong it was a rough time for a bit but then Forsaken launched and it felt like...deliverance. Lmao. Subbed for the trip down memory lane:)
Enjoy!
This is an amazing series. I feel like I’m becoming an expert now (I’m still totally not) that will be able to understand more fully a lot of the other discussions surrounding Destiny.
haha perfect man! that's what i was goin for! tryin to educate the people!!!
D1Y3 Variety of end game content, great story, good combat pacing, and great load outs, great gear to work towards.
D2Y1 good story, sluggish combat, weak load outs, minimal end game options, almost nothing worth working towards, micro transaction that degraded customization features.
I took a break and it’s back to neck g great.
Really wish they would have delayed D2 launch. The reason it was so bad was because all the good changes in D1 happened after D2 was far into development, and I’m sure they were desperate to try and hit the release window.
I bought d2 when it came out and played until curse of osiris. I quit playing after cos it was so boring. After hearing of massive reform i got into it again about 3 weeks ago and have been playing it again a bunch, loving it so far
I did 100k crucible kills in year one, it's funny how I've steadily played less and less ever since.
Banger uploads lately man 👍🏽
Thanks!
What's the music in the background? It's so calm and reminds me of "To Be a Warlock"
I have a joke: Uriel's Gift.
😂😂😂😂
16:40 I remember those changes to speed and ttk. I remember the changes to hand cannons that made them usable. They were great.
i got PTSD seeing those prometheus lens in the go fast update segment
I grinded Destiny 1 religiously and was hype for Destiny 2 with friends. After the first month my friends from D1 all dropped the game and I carried on solo until the tail end of Curse of Osiris. I wish I had stuck it out because by the time I heard D2 was making a resurgence Cayde was dead, forsaken was vaulted and I couldn't recognise the game. I've been playing consistently now since the season of plunder but I still regret giving up on the game
Not here to nitpick but I'm pretty sure the Eater of Worlds armor was unique, at least at the time of release. The Leviathan Prestige armor was the same as the Leviathan Armor with additional holograms. The Eater of Worlds armor was a different set, the bulky plate mail screenshot you showed wasn't in the game before Eater of Worlds came out.
I came here to make this correction but seeing as you already did… this exactly. Lol
I was so annoyed with Curse of Osiris as my prophecy grind was bugged so I could never finish the last one off even to it's vaulting
I was so bad I'm so glad they re made it into what it is today 🙌
We still have no strike specific loot, there's no cohesive campaign to follow through and best about that is if you want any modecate of a start to finish story you need to buy: shadowkeep, beyond content and witch queen. See the price for those and do the math..
And Eververse still is a problem all the good sets are locked behind a paywall. There's no good story to follow in D2 the expansions all of them are separate from one another
i used to not like your cchannel but your improved a lot so i gotta sub maybe i will become member
I guess it's helpful to keep the game in perspective sometimes. We tend to look back with rose-tinted glasses, but vanilla D2 and COO were truly dark times for the game in general. Now we have a lot to grind in-game every season with a time-gate to get it mostly done within the season the content/loot drops because of seasonal currencies getting scarce after said-season concludes (if you can make sense of my run-on sentence). Things may be stale right now, but nowhere near what they were in 2017/18.
Great video as always
You know.. Looking back at this era, it makes me extremely sentimental. It was a simpler time and I do miss it for some reason. Melancholy for the past I suppose. I got this game Christmas 2017 *sigh*
One of the big kick in the teeth with the Nightfall strikes was the PC version of Destiny 2 launched 3-4 weeks before Curse of Osiris launched. The Solstice of Heroes Year 1 i remember they hinted that it will help you get ready for Forsaken. I still have my 1st Solstice Ship Estival Excursion equipped. Never gonna remove that ship, it was worth the grind.
I had tons of fun on SoS. I miss that raid so much.
Love these videos man
Man these two dlcs 🤦🏾♂️
Just got to the bit about Brother Vance. That line from D1 "What a strange place to find myself in. What a strange time." is interesting to me and I have a theory, one I think would be a pretty cool storyline for say Lightfall or The Final Shape. Perhaps the Brother Vance from D1 is from the Brother Vance of D2's future. Brother Vance or BV in D2, at the end of Season of Arrivals when the Darkness shows up and swallows Mercury maybe brought the Sundial back online, or had some kind of Time Travel tech, maybe he hid in the Infinite Forest (I'm not 100% on the lore so correct me if I'm wrong). Perhaps BV accidentally sent himself back in time to D1, and had to live much longer there. If he used to be a Guardian, that would explain the not aging bit. Idk, it's 1am and I'm just ranting.
Either way, would be cool to see BV show up as the D1 version in a future expansion, and give us some kind of weapon or tool for taking down the Witness.
very interesting theory. i've always loved the whole time travel concept and loved brother vance's great quips of lore and mystery in Destiny 1. such an interesting idea
ive been obsessed with destiny since D1 beta its crazy to think i overlooked so many things simply because i was so young i was only 9 when D1 launched and enjoyed every moment of it so when i heard d2 dropping i preordered the game im glad that no matter what ive never ad a dull moment playing destiny im 17 now and still playing both
The worse thing about Curse of Osiris is the location, Mercury was a NASCAR track with the only public event on the middle, there was nothing to it, nothing to explore, to visit, a waste of space.
It says something that every time there’s a new expansion, there’s a few mediocre items added to the world, but then 100s of items are added to evergerse.
The Perfect Paradox/Saint-14 mission was the highlight of CoO. Can't believe it didn't get a mention here
Dawg, I forgot about it. Perfect Paradox and Escalation Protocol shotties are still the best looking ones in Destiny history. In a way, Perfect Paradox was better for me because it was kinetic and eventually came with Trench barrel as well. I miss that shotgun. It should never have been sunset.
I played D1 up to TTK pretty casually, did Kings Fall a few times (first time blind with friends). Played D2 at launch, did Leviathan a few times (also blind with friends). Curse of Osiris made me uninstall and never played until August last year. In 1 year I've played closed to 2000 hours...
I liked Warmind so much, the escalation protocol was fun and the exciting of getting my first Ikelos SMG
Man, that thing did not want to drop for me forever. Once it did, it was already masterworked. I cherished this gun so much. It's still one of the most beautiful shotties in the game.
Great videos !!!
Thank you!
Damn, the music made me nostalgic...
I can't believe you didn't mention the dawning free items not dropping bright dust when you dismantled them. You got 3 engrams per week for free, and that was it. Any other items you earnt from the event wouldn't give you bright dust, despite them being literally identical to the engram ones. I remeber having two indistinguishable stacks of dawning shaders because some just weren't allowed to give you meaningful currency
What's the song name put at the end ?
As someone who started with forsaken going back to play CoO and warmind was really fun
Really? I felt like Curse of Osiris was boring
I remember staying home from school for curse and it didn’t even download 😭 fun times miss it lowkey
I love this video cause damn, it was a toooooough ass time lolol
We still have this problem now. No reason to do master kf with crafting
Duuuuude I miss that map @ 18:30
I like how this dlc was 20bucks and we had to wait so long for nothing. Now we have seasons that come out every 3 months with more content in them than curse. As much as I sometimes dislike Destiny I will say they have definitely hit the nail on what a live service game should be.
22:53 made me laugh and say "Jesus Christ" out loud. DAMN IS THAT BAD.
I mostly agree with this but the eater of worlds armor wasn't at all similar to the prestige leviathan armor. The spire of stars, however, was almost identical to the eater armor.
Yeah I got those 2 mixed up. My mistake.
ahhh yes… the dark ages that made me miss out on Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and Witch Queen.
just for me to come back in Lightfall, and getting 200 quests that lead me to knowing nothing :)
This guy didn’t mention how the Whisper Of The Worm quest could take hours to get into.
Use the journey home from destiny soundtrack in your background
I just wish that you could have explored the infinite forest after the campaign, imagine getting lost within a forest of infinite timelines
I took a 9 month break from when D2 Vanilla dropped till Forsaken. I had bought the D2 with both seasons. Just neither really got my attention. And lots felt the same.
why did you shange your pfp, are you not going for the mad season look? if not what does your names actually mean?
This why I really tell a lot of New Lights they’re quite pampered by D2 now a days. I enjoy a ton of yhe changes from honestly Forsaken onward, and I feel the game failing that hard helped get us to where we are today.
I purchased the $100 edition of destiny 2 on console and remember being very disappointed mostly because of there being nothing to do at the end and getting recycled content from D1 which they specifically said they weren’t going to do. Nevertheless I played both expansions to get my moneys worth and never touched the game again. Years past now with a pc and I heard the game was ftp and how many great improvements were made to it. I tried it again about a year ago and fell back in love. They truly did revive such an awful and schemey release.
Also this video reminded me of so much but my favorite thing was the whisper or worm secrete mission. I still remember watching a UA-cam video about it and being so surprised because it took the community a few weeks to even discover there was a secrete mission in the game. It was so difficult that once I finished it was one of the best feelings I got playing the game :)
This should have been about vanilla and curse of osiris. Warmind brought a good amount of fun stuff. Mainly escalation protocol!
good vid
Every day I wish escalation protocol would come back
Banger vid very well made
Thank you!
bro i can’t wait to watch this
warmind wasn't really or exactly in the dark age as much, it was the thing that set the game on the right path to seeing the light in the labyrinth that it was in before forsaken "greeted and helped" the game after being lost in there and finaly getting out, if it makes ANY sense knowing me, about forsaken "greeting and helping" the game i mean.
Escalation Protocol robbed me of the Wayfarer title. I am a casual and had everything done except for earning the SMG from that particular activity and I played the CRAP out of it for the drop. I even had it on my calendar when the SMG or all weapons would be up lol
yeah i quit after dlc1 came back for dlc 2, then quit and cam back after a long break for beyond light, then once i beat it i kinda lost all interest in grinding. i mean i have a job and family to care for. i cant constantly grind to keep my power level up. then bungie released a comment that made me want to shit talk bungie every chance i could get, "call in sick to work and buy our new dlc"
Had a d1 clan with 40 members going in to d2.
A week after COO, me and 4 others were all that was left. Most have never come back.
Same thing happened to me. Almost My whole friends list quit destiny.
I actually liked warmind quite a bit. Its not much to look at nowdays but at the time it was a lot of fun.
I dont even remember the lost sectors of mercury, its been that long and had that little impact on me. Mars i remember more since i spend most of my time there.
Also yeah, i somewhat miss the nocris strike. My first Strike, master and grandmaster. May it rest in piece
There was one, singular, uno lost sector in Mercury. Come out of the spawn zone and head leftside towards the infinite forest gate and there it is. Infinite forest, had THE highest potential to expand the *TINY* patrol zone that was Mercury.. Like a procedurally generated lost sector / dungeon thing for you to dick around in, or an extension of the patrol zone but always different and you'd see other players opposite side of the map, on their own platforms or even just floating on nothing cause some vex shenanigans of the platforms not existing in your timeline reality whatever. Would've been cool but.. it would've required *work* from the developers' part.
@@saverofthehumens ngl that sounds really awesome, but maybe there has to be a little more incentive to explore. Maybe another community puzzle but in the forrest would be cool or just generally a lot of secrets
its sad to think that like 30% of the exotics in d2 are just ripped from d1. honestly i cant wait for after final shape maybe d3 will be good.
Bungie has confirmed that there isn't going to be a d3 anytime soon even after final shape and that d2 isn't going to stop. They want one major game with everything and other media like shows
@@mayhem-2889 I agree with that. No more relaunching of this game or they will butcher it all over again.
