As a native Spanish speaker myself, I'm extremely surprised to see how good he speaks Spanish. His castillian accent is immaculate.

@@PorkoRoso You are right, but he actually sounds like a native Spanish speaker... That takes an impressive amount of talent. I speak English, and still you can feel a Spanish accent in my speech, with him, had I not known he isn't a native speaker, he completely would've fooled me.

As players from the US usually don't learn the language when they play in a foreign country it's no surprise to me that other people from the US are surprised when a non-US player learns the foreign language.
Here in Germany some US players play here for almost ten years and can't speak any German.

For all the people who are saying that he's lived in Spain long enough for him to speak Spanish, it's not that easy for him. He was only 13 though when he came to Spain he wasn't even Spanish nor he had Spanish blood and his Mother Tongue was Slovenian. So it's a good thing to see of a Slovenian speaking Spanish FLUENTLY.
Sorry but it makes no sense. From the age of 13 till 18 is super enough to speak the language fluently. 13 not 23!

What is surprising to me is not that he speaks spanish but he picked up the accent almost perfectly because its one thing to learn the language at 13 but to also pick up the accent and dialect at 13 is amazing
