I know TUYU's songs are usually relatable, but this one just stabs me in the heart.
I don't have any dreams or passion for anything. Any dreams I had when I was young magically disappeared as I got older. It's not like I don't remember them, I just don't remember the love I had for them. The people around me are supportive, saying things like 'you'll find your passion soon' and 'we'll help you get there' but it has been so, so long, that even I lost hope of finding my own dreams. I don't want those people to waste their time supporting me, because I know I won't reach a destination, so I wish I could just disappear, magically, like those fleeting dreams I had. But that won't happen. I'm still here, carrying the expectations of others, and the hatred for my useless self. I want to fulfill my passion, but I can't find it to begin with.
Hearing this song, it's good to know that there's someone out there feeling the same. However, I really don't see a way out. In the end, I will just force myself doing the stuff I don't have feelings for in order to feel accomplished.

agreed, usually tuyu songs are already pretty relatable but this one takes the cake. no sad childhood or abuse or anything, but just the general feeling of "i have no fucking clue about anything and losing 1 person in this world isnt a big deal anyway since someone else can do better than me", hell since kindergarten the teacher would ask me what do i want to become and i answered nothing, going through high school i see my friend left and right already got their future set or at least they have a rough idea of what they want to become, and all i have is average score at school, and hobbies around playing video game and anime because that's the only way i can socialize with other people since I'll take daily mundane stuff for granted and i have zero interest in talking about them. And once they moved on from said hobbies, i have nothing, I have no goals, no motivation, but at the very least i refuse to kill myself and prefer to see things till the end or an accident got me or something lol. And something to take from the lyric, imagine having someone to cared about your personal growth LMAO
You're not alone! I still can't find my passion either, and would most likely end up doing something I don't like. Nothing is going to change if you're not willing to take the first step, it doesn't have to be a giant step, it can be small steps, one at a time. Most importantly, you need to be interested in your passion! If you think it doesn't suit you, you can try other things too, and go at your own pace!

from my interpretation, it's a girl being depressed : she don't want to fight her depression anymore and wants to be 'picked' like a flower (dying basically). A person close to her try to help but she refuses and prefer letting her depression kill her (in the mv she's drowing and don't try to escape will crying)

edit : thanks to the replies, i think the 'hide and seek alone' means she's probably hiding/runing away from her problems. she feels alone, so even if there is people who try to search her for helping her she don't 'see' it.
also, even tho she don't want to got help she's paradoxically and/or unconsciously trying to survive (like a flower who when there is light grow in the sense of it or sinks its roots deeper when there is no water even tho she don't have a conscious) and she's hiding by doing that ! so :

曲中に出てくる花は「チコリ」という花だと思います。
花言葉は待ちぼうけ。
私を穴から救い出して欲しいけど救い出してくれる人がいなくて待ちぼうけてもう1人でいいやぁみたいな？かくれんぼっちって言って自分を正当化しようとしてるけど心の奥底でやっぱり救って欲しいんじゃないかなぁ。
【歌の個人的考察】（『』部分は歌からの引用）
多分今回の歌のテーマになっている女の子は、いわゆる周りよりも少し変な部分がある感じの子なのかな。
周りの『世渡り上手』で『賭け事上手』なできる人と違ってこの子は、『骨に皮はっただけ』（これは「人としての体は持っているけど、それだけで意味はない」ってことの比喩）で、『ドジを踏んでばかり』で『邪魔になって迷惑ばっかりかけてしまう』。
周りのできる人たちはそんな自分に対して同情し、「失敗なんて誰でもするよ！」「いいところもあるよ！」みたいに『救いの言葉』ばっかりかけてくる。
でも、この子にとってそんな『救いの言葉は聞き飽きた』ことやし、それどころか返事に困ってしまうから、むしろかけてほしくない。
やからこの子は、そんな言葉かけてくるぐらいやったらいっそのこと『生きてるだけ無駄だって私のことなんて見放して』欲しい。
自分のことを『探さないで』欲しいし、『見つけないで』欲しい。
だからこそ、この子は『かくれんぼっち』、つまり、周りからあえて距離を取って、そんな言葉を誰もかけてこないようにひっそり一人で生きる生活を送っている。
そんな境遇を歌にしたのかな。

Either I'm horribly mentally ill or this song is pretty easy to decipher. It's of a depressed person and their friend. The depressed person has no hopes, likes, talents and their friend tried to cheer them up. Depressed person (DP) believes that their friend is so much better than them and therefore will never understand, whenever their friend gives them good advice they dont want to hear it because they're too stuck in their mindset, and often mentally ill people don't want advice to their problems, just someone to listen. Playin hide and seek alone is how DP expects their friend to always comfort them, but also realizing they have no obligation to if they keep ignoring their advice. DP is mildly suicidal, they dont see a point in living but dont want to die either. Like many people, ite not death they seek, but just a better life (At least let me become a beautiful flower before I'm picked). I felt it was easily to tell what's going on because I relate heavily, I don't have depression but these are sentiments I frequently share. My friends try to help but I end up pushing them away and in the end, I'm both causing, and looking for the solution to, my problems.

This is one of TUYU's more complex songs lyrically, I think. I speak a decent bit of Japanese so I can make out a good bit (was able to figure out 90% of Loser Girl). Coming off of Loser Girl which was comparatively simple in lyrics just shows how wide a net Pusu casts and I'm excited to see more of the range. I've always loved the way TUYU can make bangers of songs that also have a story to them. The stories are never super complex, but they require a lot from the listener. You have to piece together, infer, and use the imagery given in the MVs to figure out the details. It almost reminds me of watching Monogatari. Every song captures a feeling perfectly and it's so cool that each song expresses deeper aspects of each emotion they represent. But probably the most underrated part of TUYU's catalog is the motifs and connections between songs. You have obvious stuff like Compared Child being mentioned in Even Tears Wither, but you also have the consent mention of rain. From the name of the band (tsuyu means rainy season in Japanese) to their most recent song. I don't know a lot about music theory and whatnot, but this also extends to the compositions of each song. If you listen close you can hear riffs and bars from other songs in this song. It's incredible detail and it connects to the emotional meanings of each song. A good example is in Even Tears Wither where the usual guitar solo in most TUYU songs is missing and instead replaced by Miro's piano. This reflects the more bleak future in store for the girl. It isn't a triumphant realization like many others, but a slow descent into the unknown. That's why it ends out the song too, it shows how that girl's story still has a ways to go. The only thing bad I can say about TUYU is that they seem to have stopped translating their songs (at least close to launch) and that they may go a little too overboard with the motifs. I love them don't get me wrong, but their latest songs have sounded like 20% pre-existing elements. It shows how well connected the elements in each song are laid out and connected to emotions, but so many songs in it can suffocate new ideas.

They haven't stopped translating their songs. Loser girl only took awhile due to holidays and other reasons I bet. This one already has Korean translations and the english name translated.
It's like the characters in each song are being connected together a little by the similarities in songs, like they may be aware of each other or be different interpretations of the same person.
I may be reading into this way too much but I've considered the possibility that the first character in the name (I'm used to speaking Chinese, maybe they aren't called characters in Japanese) may look like a smile on purpose, like some contrast with the sad songs in the same vein as the channel banner.
