Being in the UK, my set is different to the American set, we've always had equipment cards, and it was nice to see the differences. I'm also finding myself pulled more and more into purchasing it when it comes to the UK. Great unboxing, very inspiring.

Good stuff mate! I agree with pretty much everything you read. I see some full on nostalgia players criticising the new release but I just don't see it. Nearly everything is an improvement (other than the Wizard sculpt which is so dull and lifeless compared to the other heroes).
My female elf is leaning forward just like yours, but I love that your chair(throne) is special. Also, great unboxing video! You have emotion and you can tell you're a legit heroquest veteran just as excited as the rest of us for this. We are privileged that you took the time to make this video, can't wait for more content.

To easily fix your 'bent' minis, just put them in very HOT water for a few minites.. and then take them out, bend to the correct shape while holding under cold water, usually fixes it.

Really nice video! I am hesitant that all the new ability cards will cause a power creep that will make old heroes unplayable eventually. But I did preorder the Guardian Knights (just got shipped!) and will support the game for now to see where it goes. Would love to see you look over the Guardian Knights as well. Thanks for the video!
New Sub: I really believe Hasbo will be watching social media on how well we as customers are reviewing the game. Why is this important? It is important for the retail models. The small box of gender heros for instance will be a retial box, and they could charge a nice $50 for it. Pure profit. The different quests could be sold for $50. The dragon itself could be sold like what they do now for all there character pieces they sell all the time, lets say $35. Wow they will be watching how we are all excited and how trhe demand for all those who told us not to support the kickstarter. Yes, I think the new adventure for Hasbo will be how much (like me) have waited for this reprint. Love the channel. Will you paint the new characters?

There is a female barbarian in the frozen horror expansion (both the classic and 2022!); with a male elf coming in the Mage of the mirror expac in spring! I do not know when we might see mythic tier contents available at retail; statements from Avalon Hill would have us not expect it at all, though I believe with enough time and demand, at least a workaround could be obtained.

I'm not a massive fan of the character design on the Bard and Warlock miniatures, but gameplay wise, they sound like fun. I might buy some stand in minis that I prefer when I play them.
I've had great success putting them in hot water (doesn't have to be boiling, tap worked for me). Wait ten seconds, while moving the sword back into a straight position. The mini will bend easily. Now while still holding the mini in the position you want, submerge in cold water and it will freeze. Can be repeated as necessary!
You are way to kind, given the number of defected/bent items you have in your copy. Major quality control issues there. If you don’t reach out to the manufacturer for replacements, I hope someone from there sees your unboxing and offers to replace them. I’ve loved this game since I was a kid as well and each defected piece you showed was just a gut punch. This campaign made almost 4 million dollars. Defect minis is NOT acceptable.
Definitely going to try. The elf I can address myself (almost every Reaper brand mini ice bought is bent in some way), but the throne for sure is jank!

Put simply, this is called HeroQuest. It is a re-release of its classic version of the same name, with aesthetic and material changes. Mythic tier refers to the edition that backers of the crowdfunded campaign received if they opted to fund with more money. It includes tha base game plus an extra box of minis and quest booklets (if your game comes with the bard, Druid and warlock, amongst other stuff, you have the mythic tier). The base game can be considered to be worth between 100 to 140usd depending on local availability while the mythic tier contents sell for different prices depending on what people want to pay. You can search for mythic heroquest on ebay to see what has been it has been selling for (not necessarily what people are trying to sell it for) to get an idea of its worth. All that said, that question reads like it is from a reseller or someone wanting fast money, who doesn't care about the game. =(
do you think you could send me a photocopy of the tiles from the dragon expansion i can prove to you that i did buy the mythic tier. i called Hasbro and they told me they are waiting on pars which tell me that is might happen to some more people
I am -really- sorry to hear that, I would have been very disappointed. It's good to know Hasbro can rectify the issues that escaped QA. Go find and bookmark "Ye Olde Inn", and wait just a bit...it's only a matter of time before the printable resources are archived there (and someone on reddit or somewhere may very well have them scanned already)..

And there seems to be a few changes or small things left out in the rules and map books. You can find a list of found errata and changes at Ye Olde Inn, though to me, it still wouldn't have been enough to convince me not to buy.

They aren't GW / Citadel, but they all beat Nolzur's by a mile, still. None of that matters,, though, since this isn't 1988 HeroQuest, and doesn't claim to be. Sub the new figures with your old ones!

The best part are the sculptures of the monsters. Each one of them would make a great boss-figure for home brewn quests.

The water can be tap hot, and they can be held under for just around ten seconds when they start to become malleable (depends on thickness per mini).
27:55 FYI this box comes seperate because this is a campaign bonus that was included with non-mythic tier backers.
