Thank you so much for this video, it was exactly what I was looking for. Scraper didn't find vids for all of my games so adding them manually like this is what I needed.
Great and clear tutorial, hope you can do some more tutorials on RETROPIE in Ubuntu, as it plays much better than a Rasberry Pi

Hello! Hope you can help, but for some reason my emulationstation (windows) does not show me the option you have in UI settings where you can pick simple/detailed/video. I have downloaded a theme that I know supports the videos and I have seen this setup work on my RPi, but I cant seem to figure out what I am missing! Thanks!
Where did you get your Retropie image from? How old is it? I will go look at my newer images and see if that option is there , but if they removed it from Retropie , then it should be set to automatic. And work that way.

in the middle of my video i put a note that shows KI won't work on RPi and that i'm using a pc in this example . The Pc has Retropie on it. Sorry. AFter i was done i knew it would be misleading and thats why i put that popup window in the middle of the video saying you can't make it run on RPi.
MrRockfish01 I’m not an expert at Handbrake, but I know there is a queue to add them to. I’m sure there is a tutorial on it as well in YT.
Most people use SNES version to play.

How are you meant to add a video if the scraper has missed it??
Elliot Davies I’m not 100 percent certain of the question , but you can add a video of your own to any game through this tutorial. First you have to make your own game video by doing a Game Capture on pc or such , but then you add it to the right directory and then tell retropie where to find it in the VIDEO metadata part.

CENTER311 I never tested flv. I’m not certain.
@@therexershow ok thanks. I should have damnit. I just finished converting my entire MAME library to .mp4... And I didn't even think to try a single .flv.
