Get a lot of bears in Texas?
Actually have been a few sightings of some black bears on the southern border. We have a little different problem than a grizzly, it’s the Cartel and their drug smugglers.
@@hillcrestannie he’s carrying to for protection from bears. The comparison to Texas makes no sense but alright.

I live in Togiak, so our groceries come by DC-6 & Hercules, and land on gravel. Garmin, VFR, and a wind sock. Is there a "bush" rating needed for commercial pilots? Or for the J3 pilot picking up a hunting party?

Hello everyone, I have a serious question who can answer me.
So I took the checkride in may and I got a disapproval note but the guy gave me disapproval is too busy and I had to wait more than a month so I took checkride with other dpe.
That other dpe told me recheckride fee is $700. I agreed and I took recheckride with him.
I passed, however after 3 days later of my checkride the dpe actually wants to take $1400. But I already paid him $700.
Does dpe can do that? Do I have to pay him?
Email his boss at the local fsdo, let his boss tell you. That might put a stop to him asking for more money
