    I’ve had this bag for over a year and I really like it.
    The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the rigidity of the back. It was too floppy for me so I added a sit pad in the laptop sleeve to make it more stiff. Worked out great, and useful to have a sit pad sometimes.
    If anyone has any questions about the bag I’m also happy to answer. Thanks for a good review!

      I’ve read a lot of reviews on Amazon and they say the bag loses its colour after a year of use. Is that the case with yours?

    • @danielthor
      @danielthor 4 роки тому +4

      Sopheak Sin no, not at all for me. I have the Dusk color. It has some unnoticeable scuffs on the bottom where you put it down, but color is the same all over (just checked). The leather accents have aged nicely (I’ve had it in full on rain).

      Do you think the materials justify its price? I like to carry quite a fair bit of stuff and I dont want my bags to look to small do u think itll fit me? Im 175cm (5foot 9)

    • @danielthor
      @danielthor 4 роки тому +1

      Lionel Ko- I really like the G1000 material, it’s tough but still flexible. It’s also possible to wax for extra water protection (I haven’t and don’t feel the need to; waxing will change the color).
      I’m 190cm and I don’t think the 20L looks too small on me. There is also a 28L version of you want to go bigger. For me and how I use it that’s too big, but maybe it’s a better option for you if you like to carry a lot of stuff.

    • @jgsk78
      @jgsk78 4 роки тому

      @@lns5170 get the 28 l version, this 20l one is for girls, will look small on you and won't pack much. 28l is fantastic, can pack so much while looking good flattened when empty as well as full to the brim.

    5:40 any similar size daypack (18L-22L) with this kind of casual design (doesn't shout gear/biz/hike bag), comes with such handy mid-sized organiser compartment? I really like this bag's overall design and size/weight, but I wish the bottle pocket can be strong elastic type. I heard the elastic pocket of Skule 20 is not strong/tight enough so water bottle can still fall out.

    I like your reviews but I have to disagree about the logo on this one though. As an artist and graphics guy I actually think it's a nice size to be recognizable but not overbearing. I wouldn't want the branding to be too small. I really like the 28, you should do a shootout of school bags (college, nursing school, etc) that are in the neighborhood of the Fjallraven 28L, Gnarly Gnapsack 30, Ogio Alpha Convoy 525 25L, Osprey Tropos 34L, and whatever else that could fit in the category.. I'd like to know what's best for the money 💰.. 👍🏾

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and for the suggestion on the college bags shootout! I really like the 28 as well and would be interested in testing out bags that are similar to that one! That’s a fair point on the logo, I guess the Fjallraven one specifically is not really my style :) haha

      @@dannypacks Hey, I was looking at a couple of bags and another one that would be good for the Shootout could be the Dragon Egg MKII. It's a tactical bag but it's not too big and I think the molle system on this bag would be great for medical/nursing type students (also the Nike RPM backpack). And if you do it, please advise of the size of water bottles that could fit in the side pockets. It's hard to determine just by looking online. 👍🏽

    I've had this bag for a few years. Ideal organization setup that's not overdone. Side pockets can be stretched out a tad if you put a big bottle there. Material dries fast for a backpack. Just wish there was a sternum strap.

    I had my Fjällräven Räven for 6 years. It broke fairly fast in the bottom but it wasnt that much, noticeable or a problem. Lately the zipper for the largest compartment broke The thread holding the zipper is loose. It's fixable at a cobbler. Anyway, I decided to buy a new Räven because the problem with the bottom is now worse. Anyway, I bought the same backpack for a reason. It's a very versatile and nice backpack. Great for every day work use, travel or a short tour in the woods. Im hoping that the new design with a meshback will fix the problem with the broken bottom. I suspect the problem was that the fabric was pulled by my back so it wore our at the "corner". Anyway, even if it only holds for 6 years, im good with that.
    A little trivia for americans. Fjällräven means arctic fox and räven means "the fox", in swedish. The most famous backpack is called Kånken, which is made up from the slang kånka which means to carry something around. Kånken is squareformed and comes in all kinds of colours. It was originally made in the 60s as a kids school backback. The brand is swedish.

    How would you compare to the Osprey arcane large? I sweat easily and plan to use it for some light hiking or sightseeing for summer travel, so the lack of airflow worries me about the Raven. Other than that, I think I would like the Raven better--especially the look and color options of the Raven.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +3

      Thank you for watching and good question! Both bags are really solid but I personally prefer the osprey as the harness system provides a little more comfort and airflow and I also like the size a little bit more as it suits my height (5’11”) better. If you don’t mind the heavier back sweat and prefer some extra organization than the raven may be the better option. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags!:)
