    I have had this backpack for a couple of years, very pleased with it. Just wanted to say that it IS possible to fit sternum straps (chest straps) to it. I just ordered them this week. They are called "Kånken Chest Strap", but they fit just fine on the Räven as well.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and for the additional information! That’s great to hear you have enjoyed the bag and that you were able to add the sternum strap!:)

      I know this is an old comment, but how well does the kanken chest straps fit onto the raven's straps? Front the look of the buckles theyre quite small and are meant just to fit the kanken thin straps.

      @@jynnthepixie The straps work just fine, the fit might be not optimal but it definitely helps stabilizing the bag!

    Hey Soul Shine Really incredible review. I appreciate your attention to detail. You are so easy to listen to and I didn't feel like I was wasting my time. All relevant and extremely helpful. I've been tossing up between a few FjallRavens like the Raven & Ulvo but I think your review just helped me make my mind up. Peace out

    Based off your video I got one for myself in the Dark Olive colour!
    Love the simple and rustic look of the pack and the versatility of it being able to 'flatten' a little in depth when not fully packed and thus avoiding the bulky look, perfect for edc 👍.

      @@dannypacks I would also like to see a specific 20L raven review! but my main question is.. will the 20L take a 15" touchbar macbook pro (with charger), beats studio3 wireless headphones (in their case) plus a few extra cables, notepad etc?
      basically almost everything you carry in the 28 but will never need space for clothing/gym kit

      @@callum_ok thank you for watching and for the feedback! I may have to circle back around for a full review of the smaller bag in the future, but to your question, the 20L should be able to hold the items ok without adding the clothing and gym items, there just may not be too much leftover space after adding in the studio headphones haha =)

    love my Fjallraven, have it for many years. Took it with me everywhere over the world as my edc bag.
    But am thinking about switching to a Tom Bihn Synik 30, just a bit more space for my minimal short/long term travel and clamshell opening (could this really be the only bag I need?).

      Thank you for watching and for sharing your experience! Glad to hear the Fjallraven has held up well! Great review!! I’ve been wondering about this pack for a long time, so your feedback is very timely!! My biggest concerns are the water bottle pockets (not sure if my 32oz Hydroflask would fit, and it also looks like things could easily fall out of that pocket) as well as the lack of any back ventilation. Still, when you packed it out for a weekend trip, you might have sold me on it. With that being said, how do you think it compares to the OGIO Alpha Convoy pack you recently reviewed? The material appears to be very similar to it.
    Cheers!!

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  5 років тому +2

      Thank you for watching and for the positive feedback! I’m glad the video was helpful! I definitely agree the side pockets are a little loose so I could see something taller or skinnier maybe falling out. And that’s a good question about the alpha convoy! I would say the materials have a similar feel and durability but the style of the bags is a little different. The Ogio 320 that I reviewed is going to be a lot slimmer than this bag so it won’t be able to handle bulkier items as well as this one. I know there’s a larger version of that ogio bag and a roll top version too so those might compare a little better, but I haven’t had a chance to test those out yet. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bags:)

      Traveling Salseros I received the black Fjallraven Raven 28 today, and my initial impressions are positive. Seems like it has a lot of organization (which is a huge plus), and is deceptively spacious despite it’s compact appearance. The only negatives that are jumping out to me are:
      - No lashing points for the bottle pockets (seems like whatever you put in there might fall out)
      - Doesn’t stand up on it’s own (I knew this going in, but I still wish that it did)
      - No real venting in the back panel (might be an issue on hotter days)
      - No sternum strap (although so far it rides fine without one)
      It may seem like that’s quite a few negatives, but honestly, my initial impressions of the bag are really positive. Love the lightweight material, and how compact it is when not fully loaded. Definitely a great surprise, and one I’m looking forward to EDC’ing.
      Thanks again for the review!!

    I have the smaller 20L (reviewed on my channel) and got it by fluke, discounted with some promo event. It's a very simple backpack no fuss, have used it for snowboarding too, hiking, my edc for the last 3 years but it's starting to show its age and I'm thinking of going with a Bellroy transit 20L workpack (saw your review :))

      @@dannypacks basically is it big enough to be a student bag.
      Laptop, some books and notebook a lightweight sweater, wallet and other small daily stuff (phone, sunglasses pens chargers and bottle of water on the outside)
      Does it become completely full and uncomfortable with all that or there is still some extra space.
      And overall looks, does it stand out or blend in.
