boring
Rawiri Waititi would STILL participate in NZ parliament as Te Pati Maori even when the Maori Parliament/Parremata/Kohuairau Upper and Lower House has been re-established?????? Hmmmmmm.....actually Waititi has that right. many maori will still OPT IN to NZ. You can't do BOTH.
But many maori will stay the course as well as MANY pakeha will OPT OUT of NZ .....and OPT IN to Sovereign Authority ' Maori Parliament' probably based on Kohuiarau / Upper and Lower House.
Can't wait for our Maori Rugby team to be included in RWC and will play against the NZ All Blacks. I would probably watch rugby again for that match.

1. it's not the easiest to create the sovereign authority infrastructure needed to begin operating as Maori Parliament and there are many facets that would need a whole week to explain each;
2. Waititi's wife said to "overthrow" ??? which is probably being said behind their closed doors..........so really he wants to cruise in and take over the nz system as it's already created.......whereas with a maori parliament it's based on tikanga / lore.........can look like....written up similar to "legislation" just is based on the living hapū/man/woman, mana, wairua, accountability and not based on $$$$$$
The more people and groups exercising our democratic rights the better. We all need to raise our awareness and control of our government, we have forgotten that is what democracy is. Not a few unsupervised making decisions without public knowledge and consent.
@@W_Bin Democracy is a failed experiment along with birthright franchise. It is time for New Zealand to grow up and become a republic.
They can do both. I saw that tiktok from Waititi's wife tho, that was absolutely wild. Not good at all
Whats really going on with Te Pati Maori is that they've had a gutsful of this white supremacist govt shitting on everything Maori. Sheesh work it out
"white supremacist"
Weve heard enough from the marxists, thank you.
I bet you can't give a single example of Maori being shat on. TPM are a bunch of brown supremacists wanting to push communist ideas. All the racism in parliament is pushed by TPM. NZF First push back hard yet the 2 leaders are Maori. Even your comments are racist. I'm Maori with a Pakeha wife. I'm sick of racist Maori.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 How many white ancestors do you have?
And what about the other 97% of Maori who didn't vote for TPM?
@@KatharineShaw-z8uProbably a fair few didn't vote at all despite advance voting being possible, others would've been split
Bit rich, its ok for governments to pull the wool over our eyes , we're taking our land as of right
You sold 90% get a Pakeha education and be saved
It was stolen, confiscated, alienated you name it
BS!!!!
Pakeha law sucks a big Kumara
Which law are you talking about? All of them?
Obviously a graduate in english!!.
No such thing as Pakeha law. It's called NZ law.
@@KatharineShaw-z8u Which is Pakeha only. Been living with you brain off all this time?
They just help themselves
How can they call it a pakeha parliament? That is extremely racist. And why don’t you three leftie blobs relay the truth. There is more Māori cabinet members in the new govt than ever ever before.
what confuses you about that? There are no Maori mechanisms or process , No chiefs, no iwi reps. Its a completely british model. Furthermore its imposed on Maori in their own land despite the treaty
The Maori caucus are scrapping for the party vote now that TPM have won their seat its also a chance to encourage non TPM / Mana Motuhake supporters to join the waka kotahi which is driven by iwi & hapu largely. There are huge cultural differences and of course more voters now are conscious of their identity and causes around the world that affect Indigenous minority communities largely. However the Maori vote is at a split due to the party vote its a hot mess really. TPM political campaigning is more attractive due to activating Maori political activism however Labour have always been the party of choice for most working Maori communities right across the motu, realistically their policies and values are more astute they have a more established electoral so TPM are actually in competition with Maori members of the Labour Green Party.
They are giving them way more credit than is due.. they have no plan, they aren't politicians they're deluded anarchists who took Dr Sharples and Dame Turia's legacy and degraded it.
Sorry, not sorry but I've got no respect for TPM. I respect Tama Potaka, James Meagher, Shane Jones, Peeni Henare etc but not these dramatists. Never!
Their narrative is to not push the truth.
Yes it’s normal to pass fast track.
Why didn’t you say a peep when labour did this?
Unlike our new govt there was no consultation.
Fact check mark - labour pushed through so many sneaky undemocratic policies.
New govt is brilliant.
