In 1945, a "full and final" settlement of all maori claims was made by the then government, paid by the taxpayer to maori Iwi which was so enormous, it was paid over 30 years in instalments. in the 1950s there were 295,000 part maori defined as being half or more than half maori. Since then, they are way more inbred with other races. As iwi realised the money was going to stop being paid in 1974, they both re-defined what is a maori in 1974 and started civil unrest which lead to the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975 which has led to the New Zealand taxpayer paying a further $36 BILLION to maori Iwi, up to 2018 which equates to $122,000 per maori as defined in the 50s. The question we should be asking is where is all the money and why is it only the so called "maori elite" that benefit from these huge taxpayer funded payouts ? These crooks need to keep the hate propaganda running to keep the money running for themselves. What we should be saying is, how about you give all the money back to the government and they share it amongst ALL the poor which you keep claiming are mostly maori, would that not be the best way to solve maori poverty instead of blaming the very people who are paying the tax ?
@trevordance3453 peanuts 🥜 compared to what maori endured doesn’t really change a thing it seems tell me theses so call reparations what were they paid out for? criminal acts? racial abuse? what’s the facts to it all if you think you know
@@Duckz558 Well Duckz, you can look them all up. Now imagine this. There is a group of people in a room who have to decide what to pay. Many of the people in the room will be the recipients of the money or their lawyers, no actual evidence is required to be presented other than "statements" (maori call this oral history) no cross-examination is done. After every one who is interested has said their bit, negotiations begin on how much taxpayers money will be handed over. The taxpayer's interests are NOT represented and no defence against the claim is made. Then they write up the "claim" as a piece of legislation and it is passed. Anyone who does not vote "for" the legislation is then called a racist and their tenure in parliament is therefore limited. Compare this farcical "tribunal" with a real court where actual evidence is required and can be questioned for both authenticity and relevance and an independent assessment is made of right and wrong by a jury. If that was not an open check-book ready for abuse, I do not know what is... but it gets worse. The claims now routinely finish up with "this does not preclude further claims being made in future". So what are the claims actually based on ? Here is a typical scenario. Hone Heke went to Australia and purchased muskets with money given to him by the British. After signing the Treaty and agreeing to peace, he then went on a rampage around NZ killing other iwi and settlers alike - this was treason. He was warned that he would lose his lands if he did not stop, he did not stop and lost his lands - he was not executed as was routine for British at the time. Fast forward to 1975 and now the taxpayer today are "compensating" people who may have had ancestors of this murderous thug or his relatives ...with today's taxpayers money for loss of their lands. Maori are neither indigenous nor entitled, but the elite "maori" have fooled stupid politicians who want maori votes and white guilt-tripped liberals, into saying "give them the money". Meanwhile poor maori will not see this money....
@@kiwitoffee Yes, but they are making a living doing it and some iwi are wealthy beyond their dreams and spend the money on themselves - look up their published accounts - I did ...they take the money as "directors loans" and so do not even pay taxes.

Because most NZers are chill and tolerant, and prefer to just ignore them. Also, most NZers believe in free speech. TMP are allowed to have their opinion. Just like anyone should be free to call them out on it. Unfortunately if there *was* any kind of protest, you know the Human Rights Commission would be on it in a flash, and TV1 and Stuff would lead the news in outrage at the "divisive bigots and racists". In other words, having an opinion that disagrees with the TMP / left-wing narrative is dangerous in this country.
The comparison between Gaza and Singapore provides a salutary comparison. Both have little in the way of natural resources other than their people. In Palestine, activism around land ownership, ethnicity and toxic religion has inflamed seperation and violence. It has left the people of Palestine, broken and destitute. I am not saying that there isn't a place to address historic grievences, but the way chosen by Hamas, is in my view, is not the way forward. A man much wiser than me once said that "by your fruits you will know them". Compare the outcomes with that of Singapore. Here a tiny nation state (with a higher population density than Gaza), comprised of four principle ethnic group including Malay's (The historic occupants of the land, colonised by the British in the 19th century and occupied by the Japanese in the 20th cent), Indians, Chinese, and English. Each group has its own cultural and religious beliefs, - Muslem, Buddhism, Hindism and Christianity. And yet, under wise leadership, they have been able to develop a vision for the united nation of Singapore, a nation that transcended other ethnic and religious loyalties, Singapore has thrived. It is peaceful, prosperous and successful. The various ethnicities have retained their culture and religion, but these differences haven't become a source of conflict. You can visit Little India, China Town and the Moselm quarter and experince their unique, rich cultural expressons. Today Gaza is broken, and Singapore is thriving. Potentially, Gaza (and Israel) could be another Singapore. Seperatism is not the way forward to a peaceful and prosperous future.

Come on, Matua Shane, you know that 'moumou tō toto' means you are wasting your ancestry by being a kūpapa. That kūpapa word isn't new. If Shane wasn't a politician he wouldn't have any relevance, so he says and does what he can to get attention. Like a child.
Shayne always neglects to say he's proud to be Maori. He hints at it yet when talking to a predominantly pakeha audience, he doesn't say he and his whanau are fluent in te Maori. That his moko are in kapa haka. He and Winston are where they are by NOT singing the praises of Maori. If they did have any even slightly perceived loyalty to Maori they'd be out. Pakeha love it when they get up in parliament and ridicule Maoridom as a whole except for the submissive quiet Maori. I am very sure Winston and Shayne started out to help Maori by getting their bums in there. Yet to stay and get as high as they are they've had to effectively eat their own kind. Hence the Harry Potter comment. Shayne did you know was beaten badly by police for being Anti the South African tour back in the day? No of coarse you don't. Maori are proud of these 2 men as we know just how much they have had to endure to help our people. You'll even hear Winston say how he fought tirelessly to help places like Opotiki. Omg what a great interview
@trevordance3453
peanuts 🥜 compared to what maori endured doesn’t really change a thing it seems
tell me theses so call reparations what were they paid out for? criminal acts? racial abuse? what’s the facts to it all if you think you know
@trevordance3453 totally agree. These people are shameless.
@Duckz558 SOME Maori were treated, badly by SOME of the people who came here for a better life. We cant rewrite history, but we can learn from it, if we want to.
Do i need to pay reparation for things that happened to people I don't know and never met, caused by people I don't know and never met, almost a century before I was born so had no chance of changing what happened anyway. I have maori family members, do you think they believe Im a monster seeking genocide? Do you think they even notice I'm not Maori, much less care about it? Let me help you out, they don't give a stuff about my colour and neither do I care about theirs. Why? Because it doesnt matter, I love them for the amazing people they are.
Time for Waititi, Ngariwa-Packer and the evil Maori Party to stop their hate speech, because they're really starting to harm people.

The way TPM are, my vote is forced to be against everything Maori. I dont have a choice as I see it if I want a future here. Its all linked as far as I am concerned. I am a created voter by their retotic as I am only 5 years in NZ. I arrived with no idea of NZ politics and TBH didnt want to. Since arriving I have been allocated a race by Maori I never asked for having never had one all my life, then told because I am that race I am nothing to Maori. I get reminded every day on the news what I now am and if I need an extra reminder, I can try and catch the Jenny-May Clarkson Political Slot on Breakfast TV. I get TPM are fanatics and I read strong Moari opinion against them, but TPM are having a negative effect on everything Moari which isnt right but nobody is telling them to pull their head in, including Maori. I cant seperate IWI from TPM or Moari Wards. Their retoric has created me as a voter and to exist in NZ as Non Moari, I feel I have no choice to vote against everything they do. I am in effect cancelling out a fantatical pro TPM voter now. Nobody can tell me one policy the TPM has for non Maori?

TE Pati Maori should go back to Taiwon where we origionaly came from
Church that says it all
Interesting, didn't see the parallel between Te Pati Maori's race-based rhetoric and the Death Eaters of Harry Potter.
So why does no one do a protest against maori and the maori party?
