David Seymour saying that the crowd was 19k when it was more like 84k sums up the man, no respect for facts.

The piece with brash calling luxon a scaredy cat plays into act’s long game to weaken national and take their base away. another strategy for power along with using the treaty bashing bill which is apparently going nowhere except to boost their base

Tim Murphy is bombster. what an awesome individual, done his research, knows the facts, presents his words and finishes off with a touch of high class.

David Seymour just wants people to debate the treaty principles bill as long as you don't oppose it.

By rushing the Bill through without consultation, is like blowing up your own house. How did they let it get out of this hand. Why couldn't they consult first. The resounded reply is - Respect the Treaty of Waitangi

The treaty is obviously outdated if most the country wants change.

Don't you see this as a very typical process and "outcome" of this Government?
Well firstly, Luxon began with skiting about himself running a company and being an expert negotiator.
But we have seen all sorts of truly damaging changes come through parliament.
God, we used to be such a county to be proud of!!!!!
      Smoke free legislations ended,
3 Waters was replace by shocking rates rises,
The great interislander ferry deal was trashed and Luxon's meeting with the Korean leader was worse than embarrassing,
the environment is under threat from destructive mining,
Thousands of cows will be sentenced to serious cruelty,
Our founding document is under threat,
      People are more polarized,
tobacco companies- and one man in particular is given a massive tax break,
The police are expected to crack down on trivial pursuits when there are serious crimes being committed,
charter schools are given funding while state schools are forced to narrow their ways of teaching school teachers are not given respect,
the climate change actions are doing more poorly,
Kids are sent to boot camps. The psychologically damaged Children's minister does not like the truth "leaked" about the failures of her first of many bootcamps has one person off the programme and one facing court soon after release.
Landlords get a huge tax break toi, taking money from all those who have had support and employment stripped from them.
This blitzgrieg and these dozens of changes are the result of zero consultation and most ministers completely ignoring expert advise.
When I look at Luxon's history, and his family's history, I see a money hungry individual.
His deliberately grabbing $1k a week and selling 3 of his rental properties before new laws come in is just one feature.
Not answering questions or doing many interviews is another.
Not knowing, or pretending not to know what his Ministers are up to is serious.
      Ignoring all advise is serious.
Not ending Seymour's self-focused escapade is serious and dangerous.
I for one, no longer feel super proud to be a Kiwi. It is becoming embarrassing. And seeing this unchecked selfcentredness affecting so many Kiwis and so drastically is seriously is very disturbing.
Thankyou for your lovely comment, mate, and please, I hope you and people you know write a submission . And that all Maori people in your whanau get out and vote in '26.
Because most people in these coalition parties have shown their true colours, and this destruction and cruelty WILL continue.

Wow 84k! I did laugh when Seymour said there were way more people protesting the Dunedin hospital. Um 😂 that’s hardly a win there David.

Love the title. Thanks guys. Nice to see Marc too - important stuff - but I cannot help thinking of the cost to the environment, of getting 60k ppl from around the world to Azerbaijan ... and then next year somewhere else ...

Seymour states that he wants a mature conversation around the bill but he is relying on the willfully ignorant to support it. Seymour is just supplying the arrogance.

Bill is flimsy. Did school children write it? Did they get a lawyer to check it first?

Twenty years ago house prices were 6.8 times a person's income ( household) but in 2024 it is 7.8 times. This period is when neoliberal economics was the way. Opps!

David seymour opened the can for discussion and now winston Peter's has a chance of closing the can with his bill an with him being a wise man and been in politics for a long time an maori an non maori respect him. So in my opinion he could close the lid and his bill would be brought into law.
Especially when treaty of Waitangi is not recognized in international law .
