Alfonso Cuaron is a real genius of the film industry!!! After the first two parts of the magical tale created by Chris Columbus, the main characters found themselves in a dark, but atmospheric world. The boy who lived has grown up. This is my favorite film in the entire series. Golden director Alfonso, bravo!!
This movie is what happens when you give an auteur director with a strong style freedom to basically do what he wants. Gravity, Roma, Children of Men - Alfonso Cuaron just knows how to give a movie AURA
I think it’s crazy that this film doesn’t explain the marauders backstory about James, Lupin, Peter, and Sirius - how they all made the map and learned to become animagi to help Lupin get used to being a werewolf at school (their marauders names ‘Mooney, wormtail, padfoot, and prongs’ represent their animal forms, which is why Harry’s patronus is a stag, the same as his dad ‘prongs’)
They said they want to avoid taking the tests because it's too hard to avoid spoilers, like all the fellow characters you get matched with from future books
"How did Lupus cast a spell not even saying a word?"- Fist, he is Lupin. Second, young wizards learns non-verball spells on 6th year in Hogwarts. Nonverball spells require concentration and mental discipline.
Brig is going to enjoy the next movies so much more because they now start to get more "grown up". Many more serious (Sirius? :P) and epic moments coming! Almost jealous :D
@@blurredmirrors Wow! Thank you for telling me. The only thing I knew about was Cannon and Carter being brothers. That’s so cool that they are all related! 🥰❤️🩷
Yep, this is the movie that permanently changed the direction of the series. Now we are entering the teenage phase where life is now starting to get more dark and serious now.
If you read the books you would see how dirty they did this book and why it NEEDS to be remade. This year is the only year Harry and gryffindor win the hogwarts quidditch championship, they leave out the entire story about Harry getting the fire bolt. The fire bolt seems basically useless in the movies and it’s 100% a god tier item for a kid to have
I think I’ve mentioned it in every intro of the series but I’ll comment just to clarify. I have seen some of Harry Potter but it was forever ago at a young age. So there are certain things I still remember. (Like Dr. Lupo haunting me as a kid)
Guys, we understand the copyright issues but it's really hard to follow the image, so translucid. Even more with the two big red plastic glasses in the middle. Apart from that Thank you for your reactions.
16:27 I don’t think people understand how sad this scene actually is. the fact that his biggest fear is snape (his own teacher) and not bellatrix (the woman who t0rtured his parents to insanity) is so messed up😕 I will never understand snape defenders
This is the one that has people most split at least in my circles. It's either one of people's favorites or people don't like it much. I always feel like Rowling should've spread Sirius' arc over 2-3 books to make it more impactful but the movie is still great!
I get why people like this movie the best. It definitely has the best storyline out of the 8 movies. But I'm a bit of a movie hater for how much they start to change the story of the books from here onwards. It's fine to cut stuff, it's necessary even. But these movies don't even scratch the surface of the world you get in the books. And that's why they are remaking them into shows. Well, the real reason is money, but the reason I want them to remake them into a series is to have more room to explore this world properly. Personally, my favorite book is the Half-blood Prince and they messed up that movie so bad... I just hope the tv show get it right.
I don't mind a remake. I think a series gives the story and characters more time to breathe. The romance stuff especially felt rushed. I don't even care for romance in general in films but it was still noticeable. I didn't really buy any of them together. Besides, by the time that show comes out, it'll be nearly 25 years since the first film.
Growing up, _The Prisoner of Azkaban_ was my favorite. Now, only one later film in this series rivals it in my mind, but I still have a great heart and attachment to this film. There is a perfect marriage of craftsmanship and storytelling whimsy that creates an appropriate darkness and wonder enhanced only by the legendary score! I'm sad this was the great John Williams' last contribution to the series, but he went out with a bang creating the best score of them all! The theme of the Patronus charm and the first flight on Buckbeak are beloved favorites of mine. Director Alfonso Cuarón is rightfully revered outside of the series, including for his work on _Gravity,_ and one of my favorite films ever in _Children of Men._ Here, he continues proving why he's a modern master of film by focusing greatly on intimate moments like the conversation between Lupin and Harry on the bridge. Yet, he allows the camera to move freely like a bird in long, sweeping takes to make Hogwarts come alive by creating a greater sense of geography and interconnectivity. The cast is on top form here, all performances are refined and correctly judged throughout. Everything is so wonderfully excellent that I cannot help but say, _Harry Potter_ would not have been as great of a series if this film didn't peak as high as it did! How they are going to remake it is beyond me, because they are competing against a great film such as this! But this is not the only high point of the series, more are yet to come! Can't wait for y'all to continue your journey into this wonderful wizarding world!
Respect but personally I don’t understand how PoA or GoF can be someone’s fav book and film so so much left out of both from the books. As stand alone films great though 🤷🏻♀️

It is the best HP movie. Book wise the best are 7 >= 6
Nah this film and book are way way overrated
@@DanLanningPRTeam Nope, it's aesthetically the most pleasing and on another level when it comes to cinematography compared to all the other ones.

I think they had to choose which part to cut from the book because of the limited time frame of the film.
@@rize-san yeah, I reckon. Thankfully it’s such a good film that it definitely doesn’t detract from it
Yeah they also brought it up in the reaction but didn't explain it to him for some reason
think they were worried it was a spoiler or might be explained in a later film, but it’s not
goat friend group 🙏🙏
Let's watch this fast before it gets unpublished LMAO
Right 😢
REALLLL, hahahaha! I just finished. 😭🤣
Best HP movie period
"let the werewolf cook" how'd you let that slip out so early?? 😂

Im pretty sure he's the one in the group who hasn't seen the movies entirely so him saying that is just that he remembers this detail, no big deal
I have mentioned many times that I have seen and know certain things about the movies :).

Ngl this seating arrangement is doing wonders for my OCD. Brig in the middle flanked by the cousins, also flanked by the twins, Symmetry is beautiful

Yup! Watching this my Saturday morning here in Aotearoa New Zealand. Thanks guys.
The lady who plays Aunt Marge is Miss Trunchball in Matilda if you’ve seen it
I’ve watched this movie hundreds of times and never noticed. What a great actress
Maybe I’m biased because I’m Mexican but I find this one by Alfonso Cuarón to be the best directed
You’re not biased. It’s the best. Alfonso was the perfect director for this specific story.
Cuaron is the best thing to ever happen to Harry Potter. One of the best fantasy movies of all time.
