I stumbled across your channel about a month ago and was really impressed. As a 27 year journeyman steam fitter in Detroit, your videos brought me back to my apprentice days. I wound up recommending your channel to my son, who has a little over a year in the industry and just over 6 months in the apprenticeship. He loves them too. Keep up the great work!
I could be wrong but I am guessing you don't come from a mechanical background. This isn't a dig at all. I think you are very good at what you do and are well trained. I think you are way above apprentice level. What I see is not having a mechanical background for things you aren't trained on. Total wrong way to attack those bolts and in the end sometimes they still break and not easily removed. Basically you need to torch them. Get them hot and work them both ways a little at a time. In other words tighten and loosen them to get them going. The worst is when they snap off flush or even inside the hole. At that point the best thing to do is weld a washer on to it. Weld a nut to the washer and pray it comes out. The heat from a welder does magic. In the end sometimes you still have to drill them, tap them or helicoil them. I have a guy working for me that is great at we he knows. Sometimes he faster then my more experienced guys but give him something he hasn't seen he goes about it wrong. He can be taught but things don't always come natural to him. It can be frustrating but we all have to learn and think outside the box.
Bad news: yes you messed up. Good news: we all do it. I was trying to find an OPA1279 and could not find it anywhere. Turns out what I really wanted was an OPA1679.
Ha.............Union city.......I used to have few buildings around that area and go to City hall quite often. Definitely the Worst to run business as an landlord there, but good for HVAC company since there are a lot of boiler there.
You know.. My day was also supposed to be simple, just adding an intake vent to an existing furnace to balance the pressure, but then it added 3 hours to my day because there was a 3/10 dryer wire hiding in the wall dead center of my hole. Definitely cut 2 conductors and had to install a new dryer outlet.
Video quality and editing is insane these days. 🤙🏽🔥
Thank you 🤟🏻

I use to tell my customers, everybody’s heard of Murphy’s Law, what they don’t know is that Murphy worked on boilers. 😂
As always, great video❤! For the broken bolt on the condensate pump, you should try using a torch to heat it up-it usually takes care of the problem.
How did you make out with the bolts?
How fast things can go south.... 100%
vice grips with a leverage bar for the bolts 😂. i hate when shit like that happems. always love the videos brother. keep it up 💪🏽
