Love April Wine. I’ve asked many bands why they don’t play any April Wine and the answer is always that they have 3 guitarist and each guitarist is doing something different. Great stuff thanks. Way out of my depth here but in the main riff isn't the first (7th fret) double stop on the downstroke? It comes in on the 1 with the drumbeat and then the 5th fret one is an upstroke on the "and" after 2 .........
Yes, you could certainly start with 2 downstrokes, that works as well. I just found it easier to think of every double stop as an upstroke and ever single note as a downstroke. It was logical and also easy to play like that.
