Best multi tool I've ever owned. I bought all the blade types, and customized the 4mm bit set for my job. Best part is, the bit holder fits in the case with the tool. I use the scissors quite frequently, as well as various screw driver tips. Never had, or seen another multi tool that covered all the bases for my needs.
I have this tool and I agree about the 4mm adapter bit kit, I don't understand such a great tool why wouldn't they use a 1/4 inch drive? That would put this over the top..
I found an adapter that when used in conjunction with the provided 4mm bit driver and 4mm to 4mm adapter works to convert to 1/4" drive. It extends the overall length from the base/butt of the tool to 3&3/8" and is entirely magnetically retained. Also remains completely slim the entire distance. Yaunhoaurty is the brand on Amazon. I tried posting the link and was ghosted for some reason. Anyways... They fluctuate in price from $3.49 to $4.20 with $1.99 delivery. Hope that helps.
I really like the looks of that tool, the scissors are two cuts above most multitool scissors, and that large tanto blade looks very functional. Good review, and glad to see your channel growing.
I've been using this for a little over a month now. Got a a set of alternate blades (they come in a better steel). I will say that the utility blades holder, while novel and very tempting, adds a lot of extra width to the tool that makes it cumbersome to put in and retrieve from the sheath, so don't go in expecting it to be amazing. The clip point and sheepsfoot blades that came with the utility blade holder are excellent, though. The pliers are really comfortable and the scissors have saved me a ton of trips. The lack of a file is disappointing, but I haven't found the tools it does come with lacking. While the pouch is on the larger side, it does have room for the bits inside. Overall, a fantastic tool for the price.
I had almost exactly the same experience, all I would add to it, is that with the utility blade holder - because of the extra width - the pliers do not close all the way. Also not all utility blades fit into the holder, for instance I'm using dewalt carbide blades, and while you can insert it into the holder it doesn't lock in place :/
I tried the utility blade in this and agree with Top that it doesn't work well. The worst thing is that it sticks out so far that when trying to use the pliers the utility blade blocks the handles from moving to where the plier jaws are fully closed. A great idea but not executed well enough to be practical, so I put the sheep's foot blade in instead. The utility knife did work well in the separate knife handle that Roxon sell with the same interchangeable blade feature.
I have both the multi tool and knife it’s a great multi tool knife system. Just a little heavy but you can use it as a EDC I use a couple of other tools and maxi pendition fatty pouch.
Bought one and had to send it back. One of the plier pivots seemed to have not been heat treated properly and after I had opened and closed it a dozen or so times it got extremely gritty feeling and started shedding metal dust like crazy.
A very useful review. I wasn't aware that there was a revised model. I've been debating getting a phantom, but it's a bit steep for my budget. I currently have the basic model with blade and scissors only. Now that I know there's two flavors, I'll make sure to get this one. Thank you kindly. 👍
I love all the different options roxon made!!! The best in my opinion the the knife scissor combo, but I was wondering if they made this combo with the options to change the blades?
just received my s802 from aliexpress. I got the s802s (updated version). Came with the replaceable cutters and bit kit. Pretty nice for its price. The scissor is huge and very good (kinda put some shame to my leatherman; in reference to those scissors on surge, P4, the tiny ones on charge tti & g10+, wave).
tanto only comes with this multitool, and droppoint comes only with knife (s502), others are sold separately (3 packs with 3 different blades) also unfortunately tanto doesn't fit well in s502 knife - it has differently shaped hole for opening, and in knife this hole is partially covered by handle when blade is closed
Great Multitool, however, there are some issues with the liner lock. Mine has a little offset for the saw blade, so I need to push back on it to get it to work, but for $50, it’s hard to beat!

I don't know if any blades can replace the saw. The knife has options from Roxon like a file, Comb, utility knife, multi function cutter and several other knife blades to choose from.
