- First boss for the DLC done hitless. The second phase is the most challenging one for me and definitely could have been more aggressive in the third phase. I'll probably upload these bosses individually as time allows.
Interestingly the heart ring does allow for getting S-rank from the heals provided you stay at three or more health. I do kind of prefer the coffee charm for more supers though.

It's funny how on Regular mode the bear is a deliberately almost-useless attack as a joke, but becomes one of the most dangerous attacks on Expert due to the fact that the rightmost pillar always falls first.

yeah, the little noises they make i are really cute, and i love the animation they do to signal the player their gonna throw the ball
You made this look so easy, this took me like 2 hours because of the RNG of the first phase.

This DLC has to be one of the best ever. This is just so phenomenal how he eats you and you’re thrown into a completely different situation. Moonshine mob’s fake knockout was so cool and it was funny to see people get fooled by it. Doggone dogfight’s screen flip was just amazing to see, but annoying to play. But this DLC is just phenomenal.

I love how this boss is inspired by the cartoon "The Old Man of the Mountain" and in this case the old man IS a mountain. That's really clever.
"old man of the mountain" originally refered to a certain ledge formation on a mountain in New Hampshire that resembled the profile of a face! definitely not a coincidence with this boss, especially with all the mountains with faces in the background.

That three-way shot does very good damage for its range. Recently I discovered how useful it can be. Also I’m trying to get used to the charge shot since I never used it much
It's exactly 10% stronger than the default weapon if all 3 shots hit the target. So it's not worth it considering you'll miss sometimes.
It's used not for damage but for coverage and AOE.
JESUS I was NOT expecting him to get eaten when I first got to that phase..
I have a dark hypothesis referring to his stomach
I think we're fighting a stomach tumor. tumors are able to develop hair, teeth, & eyes, & this lump has all 3. keep in mind the only natural growing teeth are in the mouth, the only real eyes are in your skull, & the only non tumor hair you'll ever have is on the skin (except for the palms & soles).

I’m ripping the sprites for Glumstone. I actually found an unused parry-able chicken leg that he spits out.
The game and its DLC have such beautiful artstyle and animations!

This is about one of the hardest bosses in the game in my eyes because there's almost no room for you to dodge in all of the phases, but by something I can only describe as the grace of God this was the easiest for me to S rank, took me less than 5 minutes and I have no earthly clue how. I did a few restarts on the first phase from taking stupid hits and missing the parries, but once I got on a try that made it to the second phase and onward I beat it first try. I have no fucking idea how I managed to do this, though I think that bear attack has been nerfed long since your upload.
I’ve been brainstorming ideas of dlc episodes for the cuphead show, and I hope if Glumstone ever gets an ep (if the show gets renewed) it would be like one of the classic roadrunner or tom and jerry-type cartoons, where Glumstone keeps trying to eat the bros and Chalice has to keep them safe
And then (based on the Boss Fight) they do get swallowed alive but escape

I'm so glad you do the bosses properly and don't cheese them with smoke bomb.
Smoke bomb is a strong choice so nothing wrong with anyone using it, especially as Ms. Chalice has an invincibility roll if one opts to play her. I just wanted a little extra challenge.
@@CrankyTemplar In my opinion the charm is way too broken, and simply bypasses a lot of platforming challenges.
In Moonshine Mob second phase, there's a difference between dodging the light by running through the platforms quickly while taking care of minions, versus just smoke bombing through it.

Thanks for this! I ended up switching to converge and chaser. Managed to push through by the skin of my teeth. Chaser saved the day at the last phase.
Converge's special is really good!

Man the middle phase of this is absolutely ridiculous on expert. I've beat all the DLC and consider myself a die hard Cuphead fan but does anybody else think they took the bulletstorm stuff just a tiny bit too far with the DLC?

The second phase is actually the easiest, use the air shooter gun. The real problem is the first phase, and by the time you get to the third you’ll be nervous and it might give you a nasty pattern.
I bet the second phase on expert with lobber so I dont know what to say
Man I do the first phase without taken a hit constantly but I always lose two HP in the second. When I went for the S rank today I beat her with 3 HP left but right as it said A Knockout I landed on an arrow and it damaged me. Pain ..

Glumstone the Giant is the first boss in the Delicious Last Course! He’s such a hard one and therefore one of the series’ best.
Ms chalice and the new red chaser 2.0 is an insane combo you should try instead of the new yellow shooter

is it just me, or do the fights in the DLC either take way too long to do, or have way too little parries?
They take about as long as the base game fights but some fights like Mortimer Freeze can be rough to get three parries.
@@CrankyTemplar I think the worst boss for the parries is the Moonshine Mob in the first phase because sometimes you can go for it but it will land you on the platform above you instead of letting you land the parry. Then in the soundwave phase the pink barrels can come out on the bottom and there's no real way for you to safely get to them. Landing the parries for a good grade on that one took me forevvvver and it was enraging. LOL!
