Between 1975 and 1979, with one interruption while he unsuccessfully ran for the 1976 Republican presidential nomination, Ronald Reagan offered his thoughts on current events, 3 minutes at a time to a radio audience of 30 million.
John Wayne had been Reagan's friend for a long time, though they never worked together on the silver screen. Wayne had recently passed away from cancer, so Reagan took to the airwaves to offer a couple stories of this larger-than-life man.
