Omg, I just love you, passionately! I already watched several videos for “beginners”, but everybody seemed to be affiliated with Cricut, so I felt like I was only being sold more stuff, not so much learning anything. Now I have some sense of what Im doing, husbands birthday gift wont end up being a boat anchor.. Im traditional paints & brushes artist, so these digital medias havent been my forte, ever. Good morning, your video was great!!! My students and I just wrapped up the Cricut portion of our summer STEAM program. The students followed along with you video learning how to use Cricut App. Many of them were in awe of what they were able to create. Your video was able to provide the tools they needed so that I was able to work on the tech support end and support the students with different needs. I am very grateful for meaningful content like this that can be used to educate students and introduce them to new technologies they are unaware of.

I just got the Circut Joy Extra and I'm so confused on how to use it and use multiple colors and layers. I only have an Ipad to work with since my desktop is for work only. My sister in law and I having same issue with everything saved on iPad spinning, so I believe has nothing to do with internet. Afraid to contact cricut , lost everything last time I called them, thought you had a work around about this issue, learned so much watching your videos, wish I had all your knowledge! Thank you

I’m watching everything! This is fantastic software. I use something called Affinity Designer, which is similar to Illustrator. That software has many of the same features, so things are making a lot of sense to me, plus you are doing a wonderful job of going over everything. I honestly wasn’t sure about my Cricut Maker, but you are making me so happy I got it now.

I am so so so glad I stumbled on your videos. You are an incredible teacher! I just bought my maker 3 and have been scared to use it. I can’t wait to follow along with you and make this certificate. One question I had. Could you show how you would use only one mat and cut out two pieces of cardstock (one blue & one yellow) and put them beside each other? That way both pieces get done in one session? Or do you already have a video that explains this? Not sure what that is even called for me to be able to search it.

Yes, it only comes with one blade. That blade will be what you will use for most projects.
Hi Jennifer, I am having a problem downloading the Kickoff Handbook for iPad. I thought I was getting the kickoff handbook, when I printed it I got the Design to Shine printout. I particularly wanted to download the handbook for instructions with fonts. Though I have used several Cricuits, changing a font on my iPad is evading me.
On your iPad, you'll need to use iFont. It's available in the App Store on your device.
This video is great. Can you please do a video on how to clean up a uploaded image for iPad update? For some reason when I try and clear the background the whole image disappears . Thank you
If you do not have Cricut Access you will not have all of those options.
It has taken me a while to sort out how differently the app works from the computer version but I’m getting there. 😂. The one thing I don’t seem to be able to find is the contour function in the app. Could you tell me where it is. 🙏 😂
When you type in text with text selected offset will be on the bottom top line. It looks like a baseball diamond.

If you purchase an image or font it is yours to use over and over.

Hi. You are the BEST teacher! But I’ve searched and watched a ton of videos on how to copy and paste glyphs etc and in every video they have the option to paste when they long press on the text. Mine will never show any option to paste or anything. My iPhone and cricut app is all up to date. I’m so frustrated. Can anyone help me with the why this is happening maybe? Please and thank you all

My problem though is I’m using iPhone, and I know how to get the glyphs and copy them but when I go back to my canvas in design space, no matter how I press on the text, it never gives me the paste option. I don’t understand how everyone else is doing this with ease and I can’t even get the word paste to show up lol
Doing Bible tabs on iPad do I need to group together to print. I did attach the text to tag.

Jennifer, all my saved projects I have saved on my iPad you can not view they are just spinning, you have to click on them to view it. The iCloud projects are ok , I can view those . Can you help me with this issue?

I did the cuts but forgot to do one and I kinda lost you towards the end, on my iPad when telling about some stuff on design some of my stuff was grey out when causes that
Things will be grayed out for selection until the proper things are chosen. For instance, to use slice it will only work if 2 layers are selected. No more or no less layers. makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff/
Hello, how does the black border line to show up when you press "Make It"? Mine only show up on the 4 corners. So when I go to cut in cricut it says that the borderlines are not detected. How do I fix this?
The registration box changed on one of the last updates. It is now only in the corners. 🥰

You should be able to hide or delete them in the layers panel.

I’m trying to Print Then Cut on my iPhone and it’s letting me get to the page to select No Bleed and Mirror (for sublimation) but when I hit next, I select my Cricut but it doesn’t go to the print screen. Any suggestions?

I’m trying to use the select tool on my iPhone but when I select an area I want to erase, the whole thing goes blank and Pressing the apply button doesn’t do anything. I also deleted and redownloaded the app, still not working. Help?

Thank you for your textural, I've used design space for years and still get mixed up. My question is I bought my Joy off of amazon I was able to install it. I already have an account for my explorer 2, so was never guided to register my Joy.
This Cricut Machine bundle comes with a digital library of 30 images. In setting up the machine, you will be guided to register & the digital content will automatically be entitled to your account.
I'm not sure why it didn't, I would reach out to Cricut for guidance.

I’m interested in knowing where my ❤️ and flagged projects go. I’ve been browsing projects and tapping the heart and flag but can’t find them in a list. Is it just for reference later and I have to search for them again. Dazed and confused. Lol
Click on "my stuff" in the top right and then you should see My projects-Bookmarked-Ready-to-make and All. 🥰
Can't compare material settings, i.e., look for one that has deepest or lightest pressure, on my IPAD. Is there a printable listing of what is currently the material settings for Cricut Joy? This printout would be great. I know I got to see these when Design Space was accessed on my laptop, but for some reason, Design Space will no longer load on my laptop. The IPAD only lets me see detail material settings, one at a time, so not easy to compare. Thanks for all your videos/ info, a real herculean effort considering all the differences in devices, platforms, etc.

It is still in beta. It was not available on my iPhone at this time.
Hi there! When I want to start a new project I get promoted to keep previous or replace. But how do I get a new blank canvas while still keeping the project I had? I don’t want to lose the project I already created, but if I hit replace that deletes the project I had there. I hope this question makes sense!

@JenniferMaker so I can't use foil setting on the design space app there's no option so I tried to use the browser but it's unavailable and I only have an iPad so I can't use the desk top and I just bought a foil transfer kit
Hi I use my cricut with a ipad and for some it just started printing just like half the page. I can't get the black outline marks on corners to line up, mostly just it's just printing 2 of them and half images something is off can somebody help ?? 🙏

@JenniferMaker hi Jenn thx for getting back. No, the alignment sheet comes out fine and cricut cuts out the boxes on the money! I just thought I fixed it, printed out 2 stickers perfect! Tried to make 4 and back to not printing the full page. I think it has sum to do wit tge new warnings in layers
@JenniferMaker I figured out sum that's working for now, after I attach n cricut rearranges it, I rearrange again lower on the page, on the screen where you turn bleed on and off I didn't know you can do that lol
How can I adjust space between lines of several rows of words.
I cannot figure out how to have the rows spaced evenly.
When I use the alignment it does not space the rows evenly. Note that each line of
Words is the same font but each line of words vary in size.
I am working on an iPad.
You could do a work around by doing one row at a time and placing them where you want them and group them together later.

Have Samsung S8 Ultra Android which is fantastic but mostly designed for Landscape use, having to use design space for my explorer in Portrait mode is terrible have there been any signs that Cricut will add Landscape to Android Tablet settings.
That would be a question for Cricut.

Hi Jennifer, hope this helps, I was messing around with settings on my Samsung tablet and found under Advanced Features, Labs, Landscape View for Portrait Apps, look for Cricut App, toggle to On then set to Full Screen. Design Space will then open Full Screen in Landscape. It worked perfectly for me. I hope it does for you.
My IPhone doesn’t rotate in the Cricut app. I just cannot find it?

U have the mirror on here but you also flipped it on the canvas so it went back straight. U need to do one or the other not both. U mixing too many instructions together and u wasting your material
When you click make it you can choose to mirror each mat.

Design Space is free. The Cricut Access subscription is $10/mth but you don't have to have it🥰
