Chads disappointed face when hearing the actual drum part is PRICELESS 😂 I think Drumeo purposefully picked a song with minimal drums to F with him at this point lol he can’t help himself even during the listening part to just “do SOMETHING” where there’s nothing. Dude has turned restless legs into a career.
Chad really is something. So under the radar for quite a few, although the drumeo performances have certainly helped in that regard lol. SSS+ tier with some tremendous abilities for active listening, being bold, and ability to pivot / inprovise / anticipate. His 40+ years playing, certainly he hasn't slacked at all.
"He can show up at any gig and just play it.." Well he does my man, he has many small concerts that he organizes called Chad Smith and Friends and shows up at Josh and Friends and they just play whatever they want. These gigs are amazing, last one I went there were 200 people max and I was standing 1ft away from Chevy Metal's guitar player and 3ft from Chad rocking to old rock classics. I love his energy and his work, its another level. Theres another concert in September, I'll make sure to get some video for ya! v/r Henrique
