I was thrown out of a the evergreen Grocery Outlet in Everett WA after finishing shopping at the cash register I had over $2,500 in my cart and was told I can’t buy it because the don’t cater to businesses. Not a good business strategy to o prevent your best transaction of the month or more 🤬
I shop there occasionally without any problems, but I don’t buy much. One older lady there told me they don’t allow reselling but didn’t make me put things back. No problem with any other employee though. Do you live in Everett? I’m in North Everett, but moving to Spokane in a few months.
I’m from Wenatchee but travel all of Washington Oregon and California on sourcing trips
How would they know you are a business?
Because of the 20 or so skus I attempted to purchased I cleared the shelves on all and they saw me scanning
Menards sells houses. I work there and I can 100% guarantee you, 2.5 K isn’t the biggest sell for their month. I work on registers regularly as a flex worker. And every day I work in frontend at least one to two purchases 8-15k.

My first time in TJ Maxx (on RA mission), the ‘Manager’ comes up to me and questions me. I never revealed what I was doing because I’m not sure what’s allowed or not being that I just started but maybe my scanner just stuck out haha

It truly makes no sense why they asked you to leave. Your buying product from the store at there price who cares. I thought that is the point for them is to sell stuff regardless. Anyone ever does that to me again I am going to ask for them to give me a business card with their name on it so I can call corporate. I know some are independently owned like Grocery Outlet but I do not think Menards would be.
I thought about calling and getting the managers name then calling their home office but that energy is too much and doesn’t serve me, I will just not source there or give them my money but it is a good store to scan I’ve been told so don’t want to turn others away, it’s just not for me
Please don’t follow this lady. She doesn’t tell you about the $400 truck payment the thousand dollars in gas running in a circle and then your clients they’re going to figure out you’re selling used crap from this place. There are all people that do this. just remember you always want to be the guy spending 20,000 on a pallet not this personthis is what we call the $.10 player
I used to work for this big corporate retailer that sells shoes. One of my coworkers was tasked to "research" our competitor's pricing. So he literally went to this competitor's store and started taking pictures of items' prices. He finally got kicked out. :) Sorry you experienced this but big corporates do hire people to do "secret" shopping.
I was literally in Menards today for 90mins, not one person said a thing to me.
If Lowe’s or Home Depot wanted to “secret shop” they’d just go online lol

Menards is known to be reseller friendly. They are tax exempt as well. Apply online. That was not the usual Menards experience. Try again some time.
I've never been thrown out of a store before. Usually it's Target that doesn't like resellers.

Never had an issue at Menards. Odd. I have found a few decent items there in the past, but it is slim pickings anyhow.
Yea I think it’s a random thing that just happened to me. I’ve heard lots of sellers never have an issue so might have been a manager who needed to feel good that day 😂🤷🏼♀️
I'm sorry you had a bad experience in Wichita. I work and shop in Wichita. I haven't sourced a lot yet but the times I have, I wear ear pieces and listen to music to drown out surrounding noises. I've found clearance prices at Walmart around here aren't really clearance to me.

I've found Menards to be hit or miss on if the employees care. You may want to try a different Menards.
I never shop Menards. I prefer home depot and lowes
You said that you have to take stuff out of your cart in scan and go before you leave the store if not it will charge you? That has not been my experience. I never take the stuff out of the cart and it will still be there in next walmart. 🤷♀️
I thought scan and go charged you when you leave the store, that’s why it’s scan and go. I’ve not used it so idk but I always remove it from my cart when scanning for the price

I use both I find the item on Amazon app then copy and paste the ASIN in seller AMP
YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GATED OR UNGATED IN BEFORE YOU GO INTO THE STORE!!!
@@phillipperkins5476 Unless you scan everything, how would you know? And besides, a lot of the time, you get ungated right now, just for asking. Things you have to submit an invoice for, get pictures of the item taken. If it's a really good item, you find 10 online somewhere when you get home.
You should always put 5-10 items in the cart.

Trust me it’s Kansas. Kansans are weird and unfriendly, probably due to being so bored. Had to live there a couple years unfortunately, and never going back. Not in Kansas anymore 😂
I second this. Drove through Kansas and was there for a short period when I was on the pipeline and they are super hateful and crazy!

This video doesn’t make sense. I work at Menards, I use the app to scan ALL the products ALL-THE-TIME. That’s bizarre, Menards sells whole HOUSES! And top to bottom to build a home. Menards MADE an app for customers to scan and compare prices. 🥴
