I am SO GRATEFUL for finding this video!!! My Scarlett Temple looked amazing AT FIRST... now it's dropping aerial roots and melting. I'm going to trim it back and clean it up, replant, and see what happens. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
I am at the rooting stage letting the stems float, I got some during the Summer we had 100 degrees days for a week so when I got them they were like cooked cabbage slowly out of six stems 2 are all I have crossing my fingers they will revive,
Thanks so much for your detailed video. I've had terrible luck growing most stem plants in my planted tank, with them melting back to the point of no return. I now see that trimming off damaged ends and floating the plants in the tank for a while could make a big difference. I'll give stem plants another chance!
Great video. Always had them melt on me. Could you do a video on how to propagate Java fern from the little bits coming off the leaf? I've only seen how by cutting sections of the ryzome. Thanks Keep it up!!
I have a question. I bought an Amazon Sword but I heard that it roots throughout the whole entire aquasoil. Can I just plant it in the aquasoil with the plastic container it came with to prevent this? Thanks

Is sand a "good" substrate for the Scarlet Temples? If not what should I use or add to the bottom of the tank for the plant?
Sand is fine but you’ll probably need root tabs for them to thrive

Yes you certainly can and like a pot plant after the Aqua soil has been drained of its nutrients you can repot it.
