    Just subscribed. Great episode. As you said on this video, “some of you may be on your way to having many tanks”. That’s me! In just a month I’m up to 9 tanks. Granted I used to breed angelfish a while back so I have all the equipment. I pulled it out of storage and now I have several tanks going with fancy guppies breeding and a mutt tank as well. I enjoyed your videos until you endorsed Bettas in bowls. Big difference between 1-2 litres of water for 12-24 hours, under 10 litres for their whole life and plenty of room. Bettas are very explorative and personable. Enjoy having space just like humans do..

    • @duthieaquatics
      @duthieaquatics Місяць тому

      I know it controversial for the fish community. But I won’t chastise anyone who has their betta in a bowl especially if they are taking care of it well. A small bowl if fine for a betta for 6 months, the ranges they have in the wild are tiny and during the dry season will drastically reduce in size where the myth that they live in the puddles made by water buffalo comes from. But if you do have betta in a small bowl there are many things that you can do similar to enrichment programs that zoo’s conduct feed live food and rescaping there bowl when doing a water change and have the bowl in a place that it will have regular interactions with you or other members of the household are all good way for a betta to be happy.
