DJ Travella almost brought down the Boiler Room stage at Nyege Nyege 2022, especially when Hemedi got on stage to dance. That Singeli set was for the books. I have never experienced such energy from a crowd before or after that DJ set. SINGELI TO THE WORLD.
Not trying to be mean But Tanzanié 🇹🇿 got the best and most diverse music in Africa❤ Taarab, Singeli, and Bongofleva are the most popular music genres in Tanzania
You need to do your research, South Africa is by far diverse. The different ethnic groups have their own amazing music (Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Shangaan/Tsonga), and then they created Marabi, Maskandi, Mbaqanga, Kwela, Bubblegum pop (80s sound think Chaka Chaka), KWAITO, *Amapiano*. They have produced internationally renowned jazz, classical and opera musicians, and that's AFRICANS, Black South Africans. They've even won grammies; Makeba, Black Coffee.
@@lekis5975 tbh I'd never argue with South Africans You paved the way for African music internationally way before Nigerians I'd rephrase it as South Africa, Congo DRC and The United Republic of Tanzanié 🇹🇿 are authentic and give the best music in terms of quality Rumba-Kwaito/amapiano-Bongofleva/Taarab
It's actually reconnection in my opinion, if you listen to Soca music it has that fast pace and riddim Carnival isn't celebrated in East Africa due to European influence but if you watch Carnival festivals it's fast paced and hype

Fun fact, the term "Singeli" is derived from Single as early artists only did one or two songs sampled from Taarab instrumentals.
