It is funny how your opponent can eat the first good body shot, but I notice if I keep going there, they start to lower their hands . It definitely annoys them at least lol😂
Thank you Coach PF! Now it makes sense in Hajime no Ippo why all those guys vomited after Geromichi hit them with his signature body shot. I need to be better at acting when I get hit hard to the body.
I use to posture as if a punch hurt me just to get my opp to get aggressive, then I'd try to punish him. Opponents never knew if i was playing possum or not. Plant times I was actually hurt but the guy didn't pressure me.
Good strategy but could be risky on the judges’ scoring perspective if you don’t get the counter. Personally that might be something I’d try if I was down on the cards and had nothing to lose at that point.
@@coachpillowfists He was only 12 too, but I remember he literally launched his entire body into the punch and I didn't see it coming. Broken might be an exaggeration, but I definitely still feel pain there on occasion man.
Yes, of course you want to be conditioned for punch resistance, but you will never be safe from getting hurt to the body. If a body shot is placed correctly and ESPECIALLY if you don't see it coming, you're getting hurt by it no matter how good of shape you are and how much core muscle you have. Just like people train their necks and jaw to build punch resistance to the head, but let's face it, if a shot is placed correctly and you don't see the punch coming, that shot is still going to do its damage. It's good to prepare as much as possible, but don't think it's going to make you safe. Also, this video is under the assumption that you're sparring/fighting people of the same caliber/level. An intermediate fighter is probably not likely to hurt a pro. But with an intermediate fighter vs an intermediate fighter or a pro vs pro, these circumstances apply.
That was a perfect body shot thrown with insane leverage, Shakur had the perfect poker face 🥊
I’m saying! Idk how Shakur took it like that. That was a one hitter quitter type blow! 😦
Shakur was also 30 pounds heavier. If he was the same weight as Oscar he woulda gone down
@@BlackCheckrdVansfvckin moron, he wasn't even 10 pounds heavier casual

Absolutely! 👌🏽😆
What the hell, I was literally thinking about this exact topic earlier today. Coach can read minds from afar it seems.
I’m starting to think I have a supernatural gift 😂💁🏽♂️
Thank you Coach PF!

Great angle on your video, bro. It's so true. I've been there for sure, got to laugh 😂😂😂
😂 We've all been there! I appreciate it, bro!
great video
Thank you! 🙏🏽

Bruh I got hit with a body shot 10 years ago from some kid and he broke my rib or something. I still feel it to this day.
Brooo! A broken rib? That's a next level body shot. Some Roy Jones Jr vs Virgil Hill stuff right there 😂.

Sounds like you need therapy for this PTSD 😆
@@coachpillowfists I probably need a doctor 😝
@@andyjiang744 That too! 😂
Don’t they continually train their mid section to sustain these type of hits? Unlike the face/jaw, this can be trained to take damage
Yeah for sure. Guys like Floyd and Pacquiao would do thousands of sit up variations a day to prepare.

And he thinks he can beat tank 😂
Shoot, Shakur got skills though. As much as people don’t like him, he definitely has a shot.
He definitely has a chance 😂
