But I think I know why now you guys are having fun at least on the videos! And even more remarkable is how well your family gets along!!! @darrenk6616 3 роки тому

@@iversfarms What's up, my man! You found me. I'm sorry I've been less active in the comments. The training wheels are off and you're flying now without any need of my help. At some point, you're not going to be able to keep up and read every one. Just taking the time to record everything and work in post sucks enough time away, I'm sure. Congrats on hitting 20K! You are on top of your game and your whole family and crew continue to be a treat to watch. And, little does your wife know right now, but she'll warm up to the camera, especially if you keep not giving her a choice! I probably don't want to know how much trouble you've been in about this, but she's a sport! In a few years she may even be the main character in the play, willingly! I'll likely become more inactive, but I'll still be around gobbling up everything you upload, no doubt. I would guess I'll chime in every now and again. I'm sure enjoying your harvest videos.
But yeah, that Texas channel you referenced ( ua-cam.com/channels/G1_J-vuLOywupdBhogqvRg.htmlvideos ), which I think was in my first comment right after I found you, was running neck and neck with you since that time. It must have been in the last handful of months where you started pulling away. Looks like he's at 16K, so doing quite well. I think you both were right around 200 subs when I found you.
      Blessings,
      Darren

Well this video was suggested cause I follow a few others cole and Brian mainly. I just realized I’ve been by this farm and didn’t even know it. I work turnarounds and I worked at the refinery in Robinson a few years ago. On my days off and evenings after work I would take back roads to Versailles where I was staying cause harvest was in full swing but mainly I liked checking the fields for bucks I could only dream about. One day I drove past a airport in the middle of corn fields and thought that’s crazy a big two runway airport in the middle of nowhere. Then I recognized the big red barns in this video. It’s a small world some time’s.

    • @iversfarms

Harvest is very rewarding but is a long grind.
I think I like harvest better on a good year but planting is always great. Especially in a dry year.
      I don’t really know

Between current commodity prices and the yields you've seen so far, I bet it wouldn't be a stretch for this to be the best year revenue year ever for some farms (assuming no hail and decent precip). We dried out here mid-July NW of Indy. Things were looking really good before that.

Last year will be hard for me to beat but I wouldn't doubt that you are right. Of course it cost a lot more this year to plant the crop than it did last year so I wouldn't bet much on revenue being more.

Input prices were pretty good last fall. Next year may be a struggle to profit much but we will see.
Thanks for watching guys, hope it’s better than you think up there

Here in Tippecanoe county the rain stopped after early July and we had less than an inch until late August, so don't think my tenants will be hauling 270 bu corn off this farm this year. Beans were only 60, corn might make 200-220. Plenty of ears, kernel count good but kernel weight and size is way down. Saw several good rains go south of us, glad someone got some good out of them.

@@P_Rund1952 early word from a local farmer in the Boone Co area is 80 bu beans as a broad average. That's better than I thought they would be. Makes me wonder what they would've done with some good rain the second half of July/first part of August.

How long does it take to fill the combine in the 250-300 bushel fields? And how many combine loads to fill the cart? And how many semi loads per cart load? I’m loving the content you guys are just awesome! I always wanted to be a farmer when I grew up but never made it happen. I appreciate your videos and learn a ton. Not to mention you have a amazing structure to the videos and make them the perfect balance of interesting, entertaining, and informative. All around one of my favourite channels to watch on UA-cam. I know it’s a ton of time and work to put out the extra video a week during harvest so thank you!!

      Thanks,
3-4 combine loads to completely fill the cart
The cart holds 1.5 semi loads
