I have to admit I was a tad disappointed when it wasn’t a wood bandsaw. I don’t know the proper name for both types, so you get some idea of my understanding. However I stayed and watched and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
If I'm not mistaken, there should be a cover that covers the whole front side so if anything happens, you dont get hit with the blade, it just breaks or comes loose inside the cover

What grease did you use for the gearbox? I'm about to start restoring the same saw!
これは製材所ででっかい丸太をカットする奴の縮小版ですね（笑）。なんとか改造して据え置き型にできれば高速切断機いらずで形鋼を正確にカットできますね（切削油は要るかな）。
あまりお目にかからない道具のレストア面白かったです、また楽しみにしてます。
いつもありがとうございます。高速切断機より正確に使うには、おっしゃるとおりスタンドのようなものが必要でしょうね。アメリカ製でよくわからないんですが、どうも手で持って使うみたいです。

That's right.
A hole for fixing the cover bolt was found.
However, it did not exist at the time of purchase. It's a shame.
