If a company that you repped like you did says “we’re not sure what you do for us,” you gotta bail. You’re an honest person, you deserve the best. That’s a big loss for them, not you. Best content on UA-cam.

@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors you absolutely did/do. Their loss. And thank you so much for being real. I went livescope in the end but you almost had me with some of that sick 360 footage and fair explanations of what each setup is capable of. I'm still running a helix at the helm for mapping but this may be enough for me to say piss off when the time comes. Customers.. esp ones spending this kind of money.. want to know and trust they are getting an unbiased review from the "influencers" (i hate that term) we watch

Man Clayton I can't believe hummingbird drop the ball like that with you, you have been an excellent spokesperson for them and showing people excellent footage from their equipment. Good luck with your next sonar company you work with hope they treat you better than hummingbird did because you deserve to be treated good

It is legitimately insane that humminbird would suggest you don’t do anything for them. Even if it isn’t a case where you recommend a specific product and viewers end up buying it, just the quality of your videos and how fun and exciting you show fishing to be influences people to invest in all kinds of gear. It is because of videos from guys like you and Jay and Aaron etc that my brother and I have bought sonar units, augers, batteries, and all kinds of other stuff, and had amazing adventures because of it. You are a vital part of the fishing community and any company not recognizing that needs to give their head a shake.

Especially since he’s one of the few ice guys using and promoting the Mega Live system. And let’s be honest, Humminbird needs guys like Clayton to showcase their product because it’s simply not as popular or as good as Garmin. I’m a die hard Humminbird guy, but I will be the first to admit that side by side Garmin destroys bird in clarity, accuracy, and the biggest thing which is target separation and bottom separation. You would think a company that is behind the leader with a sub par product would be absolutely pumped to have an ice guy as popular as Clayton repping their system.

I've been sitting on the fence about which system to invest in and this video has helped me make my decision : ) I really appreciate your honesty and transparency about the equipment you use. It's a shame that Hummingbird didn't understand that integrity is what you brought to their brand.

The Schictreuse should be the name of the medium tube. Great videos keep them coming! Live scope is better! Hummingbird doesn’t know what they lost

I would love an honest review on the jackery power station and solar panel set up. They claim it can run an electric heater which I think would be a game changer for ice camping

Great video, Clayton! I appreciate the honesty on the electronics. Thankfully I don't have to be mad at you... at the start of the season I knew I was going to buy either Garmin or Humminbird but couldn't decide. All the reviews and the majority of the UA-cam population said Garmin. But folks like you had me second guessing and thinking Humminbird was just as good. At the end of the day... I went with Jay and secured my Garmin. And thankfully I did! Sounds like I made the right choice.
Killer lake trout! Someday I'll catch fish like that. 😂

Too bad about Humminbird, you're a great teacher of the sport, and I have learned many little things that help me on the ice and water, definitely their loss. Maybe I will see you on the water some time, and too bad no more videos for this year.
