Cabin 4!!! Spent 5 nights there mid January. Accommodations were awesome!! Paul, Anita,Matt and Sharnell were all great. Pizza was so damn good I can't even explain. And the Lake Trout fishing was the best I've ever seen. I'll be back year after year thanks to Jay and Keevin!

Loved that under water video stuff the best part of the video .so cool watching them fish go to it then turn back then hit it wow .2 thumps up point a flashlight down the hole help aqua view see better it wont bother the fish.might help
Pull the line to the back of the bait. Keeps the back end real high and the nose in the dirt. The meegs jig is the staple of Whitefish bait and Simcoe. Takes a little practice to get used to it but it works incredibly. James Meger makes them. Cut the tip of a small tube jig off slide it over the hook and use the anchor on the back of the bait to hold the jig in place.

Lol, that’s exactly what I’m doing in the winter on Clearwater 😂 watching them come in, like they’re gonna eat it but turn at the last second. It’s like they can see the hook in the bait, but, just gotta wait and hope for them to grab it. Can’t wait for hardwater! 👊🏽 and looking forward to the other vids.
Try a very small treble inserted, with intention to disguise it, directly at the base of the dorsal fin. I've been known to wet tie grizzly hackle on the shank for extra deception when needed, chartreuse or red for a hot spot on better days as well. This has produced on every minnow foraging species from the Gulf to the U.P.

I don't have a dedicated ifish pro rod so I added a quick snap to the ifishpro clip and then when I want to use it as a regular rod I can just unclip the snap and jig with it. No need to cut lines and re-tie. Just a neat little thing I figured out last year.

I see this video is old so I don't know if you've switched but you've got to try Finicky Foolers over Ifish Pros.
You don't need a clip and they work indoors and outdoors. I use them in our permanent shack.
Plus, if you use Okuma Baitfeeders you can keep the bail closed and the fish can still take line so your rod doesn't get pulled down the hole.

Jay theres another gem of a trout lake that holds some big trout closer to Flin Flon other than lake Athapap its called Big Island its about 5 mins outside of the city Westwood lodge is right on the lake front there

Off topic of fishing and more on topic with your stomach bug. My doctor at the Mayo Clinic had recommended probiotics the last time I had a bad stomach bug that they couldn’t nail down specifically. Good yogurt (not the fake cheap stuff with added sugar and fructose corn syrup) and fermented drinks such as Kiefer really helped me come around. Next time you get food poisoning, combat bad bacteria with good bacteria. ASAP.
