Love those EC comics. I think they might be too”wordy” for modern readers but thats their loss! One reprint format I really liked was the oversized (not quite treasury sized) large versions on heavier stock paper with the $4.95 cover price. Lots of great ways to collect and read these comics
They're great. I have them in a bunch of different formats, from hardcovers (which have great amounts of additional information) to the Gladstone reprints. I agree, they can be pretty dense with the words, but you get so much more out of them!

I haven't read that, but Foul Play!: The Art and Artists of the Notorious 1950s E.C. Comics, by Geissman is quite good (and quite a bit shorter!).
