When my family lived in Alaska back in the 1950s, my dad did a lot of moose and bear hunting. Every time he went bear hunting, he saw lots of moose. Every time he went moose hunting he saw lots of bears.
Just can’t say enough about your videos. Awesome every single one of them! It’s like watching a story on National Geographic! Love you guys, maybe next time the bears will emerge for you! ❤️💙
Photography and videography are 2 of my absolute favorite passions.. and I've been finding myself enjoying that aspect of your videos more than anything. You capture some really beautiful shots, and when you add that on top of your wonderful personalities, it's no wonder why you're my absolute favorite channel on UA-cam. I've been subscribed to you guys for a very long time, and it's just really cool to see how far you have come in the past few years. You guys are great, keep up the awesome work
Gorgeous! I especially love the frozen waterfall (half frozen creek), the green patterns with diamond ice, coyote shots, crackling fire, sunset, and of course, absolutely majestic mountains. Perfect camera and editing work. Fabulous!
I started winter camping last year and discovered Duraflame firelogs (or similar) would allow for approximately 3 hours of burn time/heat so you don't need to wake up as often. Throw one or two in just before going to sleep. Burn regular firewood the rest of the time. Simple Living Alaska is my favourite channel!!! Please keep up the amazing videos.
What wonderful impressions you give us of your Alaska. The coyote casually sussing you out was just amazing - and everywhere there is food (the high bush cranberries). The solitude of the country is stunning but so great you get to enjoy it together. It is simply beautiful to be there with you but without any effort on our part - or discomfort either. Thank you.
Bo and Bandit....yall are awesome. I love that you are all camping on Denali. My father was born in Blackfoot Idaho, he went up fishing for salmon in Alaska, he was 18 and he ended up climbing up Denali with some of his high school friends.
camping, hunting weather's always bad and no meat on the table. That's what it is all about and you two/four make it look like fun with teeth chattering and a smile.
I have been binge watching your channel tying to catch up but you guys are so inspiring. You're both so hard working and honest. It's very refreshing! Thank you for sharing! Much love from VA 💙
Oh my goodness, it is absolutely beautiful there, the views of the mountains and your drone shots were breathtaking , always look forward to your videos.
So beautiful to look at but I don’t think I could handle that freezing weather.I live in Georgia and it was sunny and around 82 today.I really love your videos! They are so fun and interesting to watch.
I’ve followed you two since you were in Oregon and every episode is better than the last! The video scenery is awesome and thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us!! I look forward to every posting that pops up noting that you got a new one out! My favorite UA-cam couple/channel!
Thank you guys for taking us with you on this bear-hunting trip. Each year I’m hoping SO much you get lucky, but in the end it doesn’t really matter. The scenery is breathtaking and your company motivating as usual. That tent is super! The encounter with that coyote was stunning. Seeing Bandit get all excited was too cute to be true.
I've waited so more bear-related footage! This video is a delight! My favorite comfort in life atm is snuggling up with a hot brew and just watching your videos every week, I wish you both good luck with the winter season!
I have been watching your videos for close to 2 years now...... and I am enthralled with with you! I live in a log home in the mountains of NH...... Does not even come CLOSE to what you are doing. If I were 40 years younger (maybe 50), I would love to do what you are doing! God Bless you Kids!
I am so afraid of bears. I kept thinking of all those people that died after running from their tent that's still a mystery. I was afraid for you until it struck me, you lived to put up the video. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Yes, it does take SOME courage to go out like that, because something could, and has happened, though it is rare. But for people with that hunger for adventure, and the need when you're subsistence hunting and fishing for your family, not going out into the bush isn't an option. One summer when I was a teen, I was getting close to civilization after solo hiking and camping for almost two weeks. I came upon a family that was going outbound and they had on backpacks, so it looked likely they were planning on camping. As we passed each other, we had a quick friendly exchange. I told them I had watched a brown bear with two cubs for about 20 minutes and it was about 2 miles up the trail. And if they hurried they might get to see it. This was above treeline like you see in this video. I hiked about another mile, turned around on a hilltop and could see the family hiking back towards me. Too scared of the bears. Powerline Pass, 25 miles southeast of Anchorage Alaska. c1974.
8.05 I love how u show ur learning about ur equipment on the job, On the Video in real time Just like real. Not alot of people do So thank u for showing the real life situation.. Love ur vogs guys....
Love that y'all finally got one of those tents! They're super awesome where y'all were camping. The wind there is brutal. The worst wind I ever felt in my life was near that same location just further back if my memory serves. "like a G-string on a guitar." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Y'all totally should start doing a yearly blooper reel. So many people miss them I'm sure.
I visited a friend in Alaska and we camped in his Artic Oven on the way to Prudo Bay last summer. My wife remarked that it was like glamping! He was not amused. He used a propane attachment to run the stove instead of wood. Thank you both for sharing your adventures.
I remember as a kid when my father started taking his camera instead of his rifle when he went on hunting trips. He said he always saw the out of season animals instead so he might as well have fun taking pictures.😂
GREAT TRIP!!! love the tent, stove and all the equipment! Bear would be a ton of work but sure you two could handle .. bear rug will be fantastic. Though you have big plans and lots of other things to accomplish/build/do in the new year, no garden will be strange, but then I am confident you have all that figured out also .. you did can a LOT this Fall, plus you'll still have chickens and eggs and fish and breads .. be well and enjoy every minute .. I know you already do :)
Thank you for taking us along! My fiancé got a bear this year and we are so excited to have it, very yummy meat and hoping success for you both! Living in Wyoming I can sympathize with that wind storm, so miserable and cold but looked like an amazing trip overall 😊
You both are such excellent videographers. I love the artistic way you express in your videos what you are experiencing. For me anyway, it's because of how you film that has made me fall in love with Alaska. Of course your adventures are great too, and so are you both. I truly appreciate what you create, and how you share with us your many skills.
The true Ariel at 30:55 for 4 seconds 😂😂😂 That Alaskan weather is something crazy!! I love every type/kind of video you guys post, and those National Geographic type of B-roll in between shots 😳😳😳😳🤯🤯🤯 amazing! Thank you for sharing it all with us ❤️
It was so funny, it embarrassed Eric I think. Such a cute couple. Ariel that was a great blooper, thanks for leaving it in, we can all use a laugh right now. Much love to all ❤ Bo and Bandit were precious just watching y’all.
Have you ever considered doing a video of just landscape, wildlife and any/all the fabulous videos you do, but with only music .. for meditation? Your adventures are amazing! Alaska is breathtaking ♥️ and I know this mostly because of your channel!
I have to say, I love all of your content. Been enjoying years now, this video was such a great view. You all have come so far in so many ways. Love love what you bring forward, and love your union and partnership in life. edited to add: in the beginning when tying down the tent Eric said: It's not bad now, but I imagine it could get real bad out here. Smart man!
OOOOOOHHHHH HOW AMAZING THE FIRST 3 MINUTES OF THIS VIDEO. How amazingly blessed am I (as a Kiwi/Aussie) to be privvy to this extraordinary remarkable experience of exploration in the early throws of an Alaskan winter , to be out with you, hunting black bear 😲😯😳😳 THANKYOU isn't a big enough word to convey the utmost appreciation and enjoyment I derived from being a voyeuristic traveller with you Eric & Arielle. Mt Denali was epic in shades of pink. A truly truly unique experience I'll never forget and will often revisit.
Oh! Such beauty! Might be a little cold outside for me (it was 82 where I live today), but that tent looks all kinds of cozy! Thanks for sharing another epic adventure!❤✌
Watching these always makes me smile, but I have noticed a running theme, you two working hard and your dogs, chillin in the warm cabin, or watching you work in their warm coats! hysterical! dogs must be laughing like crazy ;-)
So the next time you have to put that chimney up, one for you stay inside and hold the chimney pipe at a bit of an angle so that the other can put the arrestor on. then put the section in the tent together. should make it a fair bit easier to situate. love seeing yall out there and getting to see the country
I love that the Puppers know that they are safe with you two, no matter what they are calm and comfortable.
One of the best channels ever. Let’s get Eric and Arielle closer to the 1M mark!
When my family lived in Alaska back in the 1950s, my dad did a lot of moose and bear hunting. Every time he went bear hunting, he saw lots of moose. Every time he went moose hunting he saw lots of bears.
That is so true. And that's why it's called hunting and not called killing.
Better to hunt bears or elk separately... I did so on Sakhalin...
Y’all are the Bravest Craziest couple I have ever seen. Thank God y’all are safe❤
Just can’t say enough about your videos. Awesome every single one of them! It’s like watching a story on National Geographic! Love you guys, maybe next time the bears will emerge for you! ❤️💙
Tell ya one thing..I spent 25 yrs with CBS etc. as a videojournalist. I would’ve hired both of you in a heartbeat.
I never thought I would like to be in a tent in the middle of a frozen land. But you two make it so fun and amazing!
Still... not for the weak of heart.
Their bodies are used to subzero temperatures friend.

You two have more silly then you show.
I love that you work hard and still show real.❤

The pups sleeping in back was the sweetest thing. I'm sorry you didn't see or get any bear, but you two have some more wonderful memories.
I am so glad you got a moose for the winter. Hope the bear 🐻 will come along. Stay safe in the harsh Alaskan winter. Love from a sunny South Africa
