Not bad at all. I’d use it. Dealing with a chronic neck injury though, may be going to 20 gauge for everything. Love how soft my a300 ultima shoots. I think if I were to get a do-all nontox, it would be a bismuth 5 or a hevi-12 6. Thanks Matt.
I’ve done a decent amount of “can you use this non-tox waterfowl shell as a turkey shell?” and generally been let down. Boss Warchief 1.5oz #5s shoots insanely off center in my gun (or I got a bad box, idk), regular boss #4 and #5 1.5oz don’t tighten down enough, Hevi metal turkey is pretty mid but I need to try proper turkey chokes still, Hevi XII #6 1 1/8 oz are probably the best I’ve used and definitely outperform this. I’d guess Hevi XII #6 1 1/4 oz are probably the best do all shell on the market if you can get them from guidefitter for like $58/box. They’re just never in stock. At $95ish MSRP, just buy TSS for gobblers and run a dedicated waterfowl load and save the money.
There are definitely some better loads than others out there when it comes to being used in more than one situation. Salt Creek makes some great shells, so I know we can get quite a bit better from these with the right choke combo
Good test...
Thanks, glad you enjoyed
Shows promise for sure. I'd be fine with that myself
Yeah, I agree. It's good enough now, but I still think we can get a little more out of it with the right choke combo
Thsese white shells are absolutely perfect performance.
And also chaper. ❤
Talk about a nice all arounder. You can take a lot of different game with just one load and a few chokes. Nice work.
Yep, it would make a pretty decent all around shell for sure
Love those 835's!
Yeah, I'm generally a Remington shotgun guy, but this 835 has been a pretty good setup as well

Have you tried it thru the avion x crusher?
No, I have not, but we can probably try that combo
