Sean Evans needs to be a guest asap, I feel like his last meal items would be interesting and I'd love to hear him being asked questions instead of the one asking them. Please, please get him on!
The fact that I feel she’s been internet famous forever and is ONLY 22 is just mind blowing. This elder millennials heart goes out to the gen z generation
Two things - Emma is the vibe that Timothee Chalamet wants to be (I had this thought from way before they brought him up) - Emma saying “everyone forgives you” to Josh’s trama response that has just become habit is CRAZY. That made me tear up.
This feels so natural and casual and I’m honestly obsessed with the way these two can just talk to one another without it seeming awkward at all. They seem like friends!
I'm honestly not familiar with Emma or her content, but this episode has to be my favorite so far. The core of her depression and anxiety, the wanting to die and then suddenly realizing "Oh no, we don't want this!!" made me look back at myself. It's, well, depressing that so many of us have these thoughts and anxieties, to the point where they cripple us from actually enjoying the one life we have--especially now, for me, because I have a teenage child and I'm only in my mid 30's. Thank you for this episode, Emma and Josh!
Emma truly is so woke and aware. She is like the one celebrity that I feel tries to push out this wisdom to her fanbase and anyone who is willing to listen. I truly bow to her for trying to bring awareness to the public eye.
I'm 35, and the fact that I've known about her for what feels like a decade, and to find out she's onky 22, is bloody surreal. What's that say about her exactly? I'm not sure. But what I do know it's that she's amazingly down to earth and extremely self aware. What an amazing talent. And kudos to the GMK team, and Josh, for this interview.
Y’all, this show is incredible. I’m the same age as Emma, and even though she’s had an entirely different life experience than me, her thoughts on anxiety, social media, depression, death, etc are so accurate to my life. It’s so affirming to feel…not alone ❤️
What an absolutely wonderful soul. She isn't just some other internet famous pretty girl. She really seems to care about her content, fans, and impact. She has a great mindset for someone so young.
I don't know much about Emma, besides seeing her content every once in a while on my FYP, but this episode has made me a fan. what a genuine and personable human!!
I love how the words spoken within this episode were so well done. 👏 made me reflect. Helped me unplug. Literally. Although I'm not gen z and don't need as much help, it's still good for me to learn and practice so I can help my own. ❤ thanks guys! 😊 Emma and Josh had me feeling like this was just 2 friends sitting down for some noms. Loved it!
What she said about depression and that timeline from not thinking about death then wanting to die then being really scared of dying once you get better.... exactly the trajectory I went through (I'm 20 lol)
I completely understand her POV on success and accomplishing goals. You think everything is going to change once you reach certain goals but nothing changes. All the feelings you’ve felt before are all the feelings you’ll feel in the future. It’s an interesting perspective and it’s helped me slow down a lot and appreciate the season of life I’m in because appreciating what I have, is better than constantly chasing something that doesn’t exist.
I feel like I comment this under every one of these episodes but this is probably the best interview show on UA-cam right now, considering it can make me watch something about people I don't even know. Out of all these episodes there were maybe 7 where I was able to say I'm familiar with the person and what they do. The others I either know them just by name (like this one or the Seth Rollins one) or not at all (like the ones with Corbin Bleu, Maria Bamford or Karamo Brown). But they're all so insightful and they're always a genuinely great viewing experience. Like someone else in the comments already said, this show is really good at introducing me to famous people I've never heard of and making it interesting anyway. Keep up the great work. I'm already excited for the next guest, whoever that may be.
This is easily my favourite show on UA-cam. I love how candid every discussion is when you treat a taboo topic like death and dying in a welcoming way. Wonderful job everyone. I'll also toss in my vote to get fellow Canadian Matty Matheson. Maybe when The Bear S3 launches.
this is why she will always be my favorite. she's not only the "relatable girl". She's someone brave enough to put her feelings out there for everyone to see and give hope to the others. I'm not by any means glad she's going through this but i feel safe in a way knowing i'm not alone. Thank you for being so brave emma i love you
I'm so glad y'all talked about the hardships with social media and mental health because so many parents, including mine, say to limit the social media because it does truly effect our mental health. It's nice to hear Emma's perspective and literal thought process to how it affects her and hearing this will help me to consciousally think about how it affects me and I'll become better at limiting myself on it
I get her feelings on the social media... but it's all about the life you have and your environment. That is her perspective based on her life... her offline life and environment seems to be great and she has a family that loves her very much. For a lot of people that is the opposite. They don't live in a good environment and while the online negativity may still be there it's actually better than the real life environment they are living in.
the world needed this video. this is the most amazing thing ever. EMMA, you are wrong, a new emotion was unlocked in me today watching this. PURE HAPPINESS
i love emma so much. we're the same age and experiencing the same anxieties. hearing her talk about the wish to die when she was a teenager, and the depression going away and that desire to die morphing into fear really comforted me. it feels like no one else gets it, no one talks about it. i went through that exact thing, and literally spoke about that to my boyfriend hours ago. i saw this video at the perfect time
I’ve never felt so alike with someone. I literally had a convo w my mom about religion 2 days ago and verbatim said what she did. I also struggle immensely w anxiety and depression and the way she speaks abt it definitely helps. She’s 4 years younger than me but she represents the gen z so well and I appreciate having her content to help relate to.
Only just found this and I loved it. I'm 55 and I adore Emma, so I watched the episode and how fabulous is Josh! ❤ Loved how organic this felt, as if I was with them. Food looked awesome and new subscriber for sure ❤ Happy New Year All ❤
this show is so interesting to me & i love how the combination of eating someone's favorite foods and talking about dark & almost unsettling topics. i love it sm
I saw the falafel in the intro and immediately got a craving for Dune without knowing that's where you got it from. I'm really glad Josh likes it and even more that Emma seemed to love them. Shoutout to Dune, that made my night.
Emma talking about talking to herself here is what a lot of spiritual people would explain as their higher self, the version of yourself you WANT to be. Incase anyone wanted a name for it 😁✨ 31:30
I'd have to imagine these videos aren't doing the view numbers you guys want, but if you can somehow make it work, please please do. I love this series so much, it's incredible. Honestly it may be the best series on the internet. People don't know what they're missing.
Regarding love, I don't think you're supposed to be purposely "detached" from someone - most people can't just do that, or when they do, it's pretty disingenuous and they don't enjoy feeling that way. The trick is that you need to love *yourself* enough and have plenty of your *own* things going on, so that you just *naturally* won't be super attached or dependent on someone else for your own happiness. You need to get your happiness from your own self-love and be self-confident - otherwise, you will naturally try to seek those things from external forces and other people, and it makes you dependent to the point where it can really harm the relationship and can really be a burden on the other person/thing that you're relying on for your own validation. If you're able to learn to love and accept yourself more, you will naturally be less dependent on others for those feelings (so naturally more "detached," in a good way). And if you find the right partner, they will be the same way, and your relationship will have mutual respect, a healthy kind of love/friendship, and the right sorts of boundaries that are required in order for relationships to actually last. Otherwise, one or both partners will eventually get exhausted from all this dependency, even if you really enjoy it in the moment. Young love tends to be this way - as you get older and wiser, most people naturally learn to move in a different direction because they recognize that it isn't healthy for their self-esteem or just their own sanity, in the long run.
We need to normalize how normal it is to think about death. It’s part of the human experience. And I love Emma for doing all the work & being so comfortable about talking about how she thinks about death itself totally freakin normal. Hello! That’s why this show was completely made!
Ok this is the first one I've seen (and they're all great) where the guest checked all the boxes for me. That meal looks insanely good. Awesome choices, Emma.
I’m not familiar with Emma, but I absolutely love & feel her vibe!! ❤ And Josh, thank you for bring the best out of your guests & bringing such an incredible energy to everything you do. I love all of this!
oh emma’s relationship with death is so similar to mine :,) i’ve never watched much of her content but she’s such a raw and honest personality, which is so interesting to say considering her conversation about her sense of self while being on youtube. i loved this interview SO MUCH!!
I didn't expect this...but damn, this might be the best episode of "Last Meal" to-date! So much wisdom and advice here. I've always disagreed with Emma's haters, but seeing the crazy intelligent person she has continually proved to be...how could you not appreciate that? Very real. Refreshing in a world of robotic zombies.
I’ll never stop loving to see Emma on camera she literally just makes me so happy and this is also one of my favorite UA-cam channels so just serotonin all around 🫶🏾😌
Sean Evans needs to be a guest asap, I feel like his last meal items would be interesting and I'd love to hear him being asked questions instead of the one asking them. Please, please get him on!
They should prank him and put hot sauce on everything, or only bring out wings. Poor guy, i don't know how he still has a gut.
This needs more upvotes❤
Yessss! I think a conversation between Sean and Josh would be so great!
I was just thinking Josh needs to be on Hot Ones lol... I'll take both please 🙏
Hah, it'd be funny if he came on, and his last meal was just, like, a salad.
The fact that I feel she’s been internet famous forever and is ONLY 22 is just mind blowing. This elder millennials heart goes out to the gen z generation
thank you, millennial
i was thinking this too! when he said she was 22 in the intro i was shocked, even though i kind of knew already
Glad I wasn't the only one shocked my this lol, I literally had to Google it. I definitely thought 26 to maybe 28, but my first instinct was 26
who is her never heard of her b4
Hosting the met gala at like 20😳
Emma making a whole video out of a mundane day is what taught me to romanticize my boring life
I hope she sees this!
she literally saved me
This ^^^!!!
I think she's reading what's being said about her on the internet, how she is no longer relatable.
This!!!! This is the reason we love her
Out of every guest, this looks like the closest thing I would have for my last meal. I respect her choices.
same here
same that mediterranean food is one of the best things out there
@@mitchellbreese7190 it's the aioli flight with the tater tots and the pesto noodles that really speak to me.
Definitely down to the tots w sauce, falafel and the pastry at the start 💜
yes! totally same!
going from no concept of death, to wanting to die, to being TERRIFIED of death, is so real
a request ive never seen - the brothers Green
hank or john or both. theyre so insightful and i think it'd be interesting to see them across from josh
I would love to see this
PLEASE
Great idea
I second this!! But I think they should bring Hank and Green on separately.
NEED!!!!
this convo/interview was so organic, like listening to your friends talk and just enjoying the moment
yes!!!
I love the relationship emma has with her dad it sounds to supportive and wholesome 😭💖
Always & Forever been.❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Two things
- Emma is the vibe that Timothee Chalamet wants to be (I had this thought from way before they brought him up)
- Emma saying “everyone forgives you” to Josh’s trama response that has just become habit is CRAZY. That made me tear up.
The “everyone forgives you” made me tear up too. Hit me like a ton of bricks.
Those tater tots oooh my gosh I’m dead!🥸
YES HER RESPONSE MADE ME ALMSOT CRY IDK HOW HE WAS OKAY AFTER THAT I HAD TO PAUSE THE VIDEO
You don’t even know these people 😂
“Emma is the vibe that timothee chalamet wants to be” is a sad sentence from someone who knows these people no deeper than watching youtube videos
It’s like Josh was born for this job. This is my favorite mythical kitchen show!
yes!! he does such a good job
@@mack5651agree he’s helping her with her feel less anxious 😕
This feels so natural and casual and I’m honestly obsessed with the way these two can just talk to one another without it seeming awkward at all. They seem like friends!
Josh's smile when he just twist snaps his burrito and looks up proud of himself, adorable
Emma describing her life in Vermont maybe with a family, maybe with a kid and animals -- she's so happily smiling describing it. I hope she gets there
I feel like she finally got to talk to someone who she doesn’t mind and actually enjoys, I’m happy she could relax
I'm honestly not familiar with Emma or her content, but this episode has to be my favorite so far. The core of her depression and anxiety, the wanting to die and then suddenly realizing "Oh no, we don't want this!!" made me look back at myself. Emma is like if Josh's chaos and self-deprecation and Rhett's self-awareness and bend toward performance had a baby and I Love It.
i don’t understand how anyone could hate this girl. She is so well spoken for her age and also relatable, I don’t know how she does it
She did have this merch drop but all of the merch was blurred out. Ppl got mad at her for that. (Also, I love her! I love her coffee :3)
Emma is one of the only people to out-manic Josh! Loved it!
these two are not the friendship goals I thought id see but here we are.
Emma truly is so woke and aware. She is like the one celebrity that I feel tries to push out this wisdom to her fanbase and anyone who is willing to listen. I truly bow to her for trying to bring awareness to the public eye.

What an amazing talent. And kudos to the GMK team, and Josh, for this interview.
I’m 32 , started to see her content during the pandemic , been a huge fan since , glad to not be the only 30something fan 😂
Y’all, this show is incredible. I’m the same age as Emma, and even though she’s had an entirely different life experience than me, her thoughts on anxiety, social media, depression, death, etc are so accurate to my life. It’s so affirming to feel…not alone ❤️
you and me both friend
The chemistry between these two is so amazing! I wish emma was on the show permanently ✨❤️🔥 her and josh are chefs kiss 🧑🍳
This is probably the best episode yet. Came in not knowing much about Emma, left with a lot of wisdom and truth.
The way Josh just continues to cover her burrito in salsa as she is talking really speaks my new love language 😂
I am one month late i am sorry but i found that to be so freaking attractive hahahah i was like "Damn, didnt know i want that." Haha
Emma is like a breath of fresh air. I love her so much.
I love this show so much, it feels like it's been forever since the last episode!

I love how this show makes people, I have convinced myself I don't like, seem like genuinely awesome people.
Same! Like I know nothing about her or her content but I still watched the whole thing because this show is great
wasnt expecting such great conversational chemistry between emma chamberlain and josh
I CAN SEE THEM TOGETHER
It is actually crucial that this show continues for at least another ten years because I need to be on it one day

"Face the reality of mortality" is probably the coldest line ever dropped on this show and we're just not gonna talk about it huh

Agreed.
25:19 😂😂😂 letting the intrusive thoughts win and to finish it off with a little smile was such a cute little blip of Josh

Need to get lady Josh back for more episodes. So much bound chaos wasted on the somber last meal episode. Very good time any how, just want more. 😊
