Remind u these were only 3 euros in the beginning (dont know what it is in dollars). With the DLC's u would get 4 multiplayer maps and a zombie map. The DLC's were 20 euros if I'm not mistaken. Imo a far better deal than lets say a 20 euro Nicki Minaj skinpack
Man BO2 was peak multiplayer CoD. The maps were enjoyable, once I got used to them and was in the zone it felt like I knew where the enemies were at all times without UAV. The run and gun was just smooth enough. Even when not really playing you could spend hours designing custom emblems that would be painted on your weapon. Good old days

Black ops 2 also had a special place in my heart because one of my old friends from my crew that I played with back then passed away and when I found out, it really was devastating. We had a lot of great memories together. 10+ years later and being in my mid 30s now long retired from gaming and i still think about that guy to this day. May he rest in peace.

The developement team at the time had the inside track on what Activision had planned leading up to 2025. That is why they put the easter egg in the game as a way to give the player base a heads up. Activision took some really great franchises and pulled an Amber Heard all over the bed with them. For between 2009 and 2012 the core gamers asked for seperate lobbies based on player skill so that the weekend warrior casuals could have their own seperate experience playing exclusively against each other and Activision completely missread them and said oh you want us to just penalize the good players by artificially handicapping them, okay will do. They listened to nothing the real player base wanted and instead implemented some of the most hideous map designs, game breaking mechanics like paywalling basic game features and player handicapping ever. SBMM is one of the biggest slaps in the face they could have done short of tee bagging our faces with their bare nutsacks. I refused to buy Vanguard because it was hot garbage and got MW II as a freebie hoping it would be somewhat enjoyable and it was worse than CoD MW 2019 in every possible way. I hate the fact that I wasted hard drive space on it. Black Ops Cold War is the last CoD that I found playable and that is only because Trey-Arch retroactively removed the SBMM. I haven't touched a CoD game since that party banning hack came out that effected all titles going back to the original MW CoD4. Battlefield 2032 has been my go to shooter for almost a year because it is so much better than CoD.

The developement team at the time had the inside track on what Activision had planned leading up to 2025.
That is why they put the easter egg in the game as a way to give the player base a heads up.
Activision took some really great franchises and pulled an Amber Heard all over the bed with them.
For between 2009 and 2012 the core gamers asked for seperate lobbies based on player skill so that the weekend warrior casuals could have their own seperate experience playing exclusively against each other and Activision completely missread them and said oh you want us to just penalize the good players by artificially handicapping them, okay will do.
They listened to nothing the real player base wanted and instead implemented some of the most hideous map designs, game breaking mechanics like paywalling basic game features and player handicapping ever.
SBMM is one of the biggest slaps in the face they could have done short of tee bagging our faces with their bare nutsacks.
I refused to buy Vanguard because it was hot garbage and got MW II as a freebie hoping it would be somewhat enjoyable and it was worse than CoD MW 2019 in every possible way.
I hate the fact that I wasted hard drive space on it.
Black Ops Cold War is the last CoD that I found playable and that is only because Trey-Arch retroactively removed the SBMM.
I haven't touched a CoD game since that party banning hack came out that effected all titles going back to the original MW CoD4.
Battlefield 2032 has been my go to shooter for almost a year because it is so much better than CoD.

I all I know is Cold War felt orders of magnitude better to play than MW2019.
