Hope you enjoyed the episode :) In case anyone is interested, here are the videos for the "straight to output" wiring mod: tele / HH guitars: ua-cam.com/video/Iupywa9EEAE/v-deo.html Strat / SSS / HSS guitars: ua-cam.com/video/W8uV1ISnxbY/v-deo.html
It’s like a summer sunset when the top catches the light, and the streaks look perfectly in keeping. The contrast with the natural wood makes me think of wheat fields for some reason, and will only harmonise more as that part naturally ages over time.
Looks awesome dude. I've no ideas on typical guitar finish oils, but 'Osmo' is well renowned more generally in woodworking and being water based is safe and pretty easy to handle.
Cool, which ones are you going for? I'm a big fan of IronGear pickups. They're great for mod projects and experimenting without causing too much of a dent in the bank account!
On this it is a Rolling Mill set with overwound on the bridge. I've used them on two other builds before, the texas locos and Steam hammer combo in an HSS build (the Texas locos are especially impressive), and a rolling mill hb and p90 combo. Probably going to use some in revamp of a tele I've got
Looking forward to hearing your guitar with them! I really like the overwound Rolling Mill. I haven't tried their single coils so thanks for the tip about Texas locos

Stick a veneer on the plastic cover, the plastic will give it strength and the wood will look nice.
Agree on the oak, neck looks gorgeous imo
Cheers mate, that's a good idea with the veneer

What a nice image! Thank you for that, mate, really appreciate it :)
Great video! That top finally came out stunning
Thank you!
I haven’t seen anyone contrast amber with natural wood on a body before, I really like it! 👍
Thanks mate, I'm really happy with the look :) it's certainly uncommon, that's for sure!
Awesome work man, the stain turned out beautifully. Great taste!
Thanks a lot mate!
Loving the mismatch pickups, I think it helps the bespoke feel of the guitar
Thanks mate! If mismatched pickups are good enough for Jimmy Page, they're good enough for me haha
Even with the streaks, it really is a beautiful top
Thank you! I'm really happy with how it turned out, mistakes and all!
Very nice. The colors are perfect!👌
Thank you!
Looking excellent. The streaks look a feature of the top now to me
Thank you very much Graham! Yes those streaks are somewhat of a happy accident haha
Amazing work, well done!
Cheers mate!

Thanks mate, I'll definitely look into that!
That turned out really well Alexis! Beautiful looking custom axe! 😍 Good job on the stain too, it looks perfect.. Supporting your channel. Subbed! 😉🤘
Thank you! Appreciate the support :) working on the final episode with sound demo, shouldn't be too long now!
@@AlexisGuitars Awesome! looking forward to it
Looking really good

Danke fur den Tipp! Hoffentlich schaffe ich es, ein neue Platte vor der Deadline zu machen. Ansonsten bleibe ich bei diesem Plastikteil
I've gone Iron Gear pickups (again) for my GGBO build

You still have a couple of weeks to make a cover there's plenty of time yet to make a cavity cover that you're happy with
Cheers mate, we'll see what I can do. Might just stick a veneer on one of my last attempts as I'm too busy in the next two weeks
@@AlexisGuitars would still look better than that plastic one cause it doesn't even fit too well
So any improvement wil be an improvement on that ;)
Haha absolutely. Like I said in the video, it'll happen, just a question of when
