I shot a feature film on an S5. I shot into the Ninja V so I was getting 5.9k RAW, 422, 12 bit Prores. The image is stunning and the camera did not miss a beat. 25 day shoot, 16 hours a day and I never had to think about the S5 once. Best deal out there.
Indeed we love our two S5s, we have shot a music vid in prores raw and love it ! The S5IIx is heavenly thou ! We shall have the comparison vid out soon !
Yes, the S5IIX is really great. I'll be sticking with the S5 for the next few years, though; I don't use AF and always shoot external to the Ninja so the upgrade is unnecessary for me. I could get interested if they made it a global shutter, that would be an upgrade well worth thinking about. Happy shooting! @@FilmAndStar
these are great points, thou All I 400mbps is a game changer and the prores onto ssd looks picture perfect, we are making a vid on it, the difference is unreal !
