It's really difficult predicting or finding the source of the leaks, your years of experience shows and makes it look easy. Yup the leak source could be totally different. Great video again.
no, that is certainly not necessary. Make sure you heat the old layer thoroughly so that it melts together with the new top layer. whore in the Netherlands we do no different, we have satisfied customers for more than 18 years.

Yes we always use bitumen primer here in uk 🇬🇧
