How To Start With Assetto Corsa Competizione in 2022
Let me know if this type of video is helpful and what would you like to see next :)
👍
A guide to fov and in car view setup.
Thank you for the GT Omega discount!! Love my Apex stand! Improved my racing experience!!
I think that a deep setup video would be cool
As long as you are not scared to tell the truth (like pointing that in game's multipalyer is a piece of shit) - I would admire every each that kind of video ! GJ
Hey , can you show how you configure your cockpit view in view settings when driving a car? And thx for your video man, very good for help me !!
Suggestion: You could do a series of videos about setups in ACC (like one video about the tyres tab, another about the mechanical grip tab...). The setups are a big struggle for most of the people in ACC, and you could share a bit of your knouledge
ACC is what I have chosen to start with as my main sim racing game. Jardier has been insane with the amount of help with tips and racing guides. His guides have helped me so much in my progress as a rookie sim driver. ACC has been an amazing sim for a realistic and also beautiful racing experience and I hope they expand beyond GT3/GT4 or at least update AC1 to ACC standards/or better.
I am also new to sim racing and I’ve tried a few different sims. Even though I want to do some F1 too, ACC had me hooked. Going back to AC1 is painful in many ways, everything about the UI and graphics feel so cheap in comparison.
@@mojolito what do you mean by AC1? the original assetto from 2014? that game relies on mods, and with mods looks better than ACC but it takes time to mod and set up :)
@@BeowulfGaming well I think that’s his point, acc is a million times better without modding it
Very good breakdown of ACC Jardier, enjoyed watching the video. Maybe a guide to setting up the FOV and what in-car camera you use would be helpful, I still struggle with that from time to time Thank you.
I loved GT growing up but I went to hot laps in rally games partly because I gained a fear of track racing in terms of bumping into people and ruining someone's race. HOWEVER, because of yours and Jimmy's content, and the winter sale, I finally said I am gonna give track racing another shot. So thanks Jardier for helping us with these guides here and on Overtake!
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
auto steering wheel 800 degrees in game and at lgs doesn;t work. the game not auto adjust angle by itself.
I literaly jus boudht the game to join competitions with a higher level than the ones you find in GTsport. This has come really handy!!!
The timing couldn't be better. T300rs Alcantara coming in tomorrow and bought ACC + DLC in the steam x-mas sale
Buy gloves too :) I loved that wheel
How is the wheel? I am planning to buy a t300rs gt
Give me LMP2 and I'll die a happy man...
I am new to sim racing and I just picked up this game. Your video has been very helpful in covering all aspects of the game! Love your chill vibes as well. Keep it up man. Thanks a lot!
I've been doing a bunch of races on LFM in the last 2 weeks and it has been great I must say.
Agree, since LFM I do more daily races
Another tip is not worry about car choice too much. I've spent way too much time in free practice singleplayer trying out all the different cars on different tracks and in hindsight I wish I spent less time trying to find the perfect main car and more time spent racing. So try them all, but pick your main car sooner rather than later and then stick with it. Not that you can't use other cars after that but that's what most people recommend because it allows you to really get to learn the car and the physics.
Also, go to free practice, pick your car and any track, drive 3 - 4 clean laps, hit escape and go back to the garage as you go over the line, adjust for tyre pressures, then drive 3 - 4 laps again and see if the pressures are alright. If so, save the setup with the temperatures in the filename. Then do this for every track. It's a bit of work but you'll get the correct tyre pressures quicker in MP because you only need to adjust for temperature. One click up or down for every ambient degree colder or hotter is what people usually recommend.
First two or three laps in an MP race: go ahead and use 3 to 4 clicks higher TC, then go back down when the tyres are up to temperature. You won't lose significant time / position because the cars are still close together anyway. A lot of people spin out on cold tyres on the first lap and this will help prevent that. Maybe when you get more experience you won't have to do that but if you're just starting out give it a go.
Oh, and when following a car close behind, don't forget to brake a bit earlier. :-) Aris (one of the devs) did a stream on this that you can watch called 'How to Race'.
Thanks Jards not up to multiplayer yet, but this vid is a good reference point for me when I get to that level . Online racing is always good when watching you , thanks for the effort 👏👏
you seem so nice, and this was super helpful. I feel like im missing a manual guide with ACC, took me forever to figure out a pit stop on my own, and im still terrible at them
I have been playing for about two weeks now and I can say is very fun and rewarding to play with mouse/keyboard specially when you start to get consistent lap times and podiums in multiplayer races :) there is alot of crazy people in multiplayer but very often I encounter good drivers where I can stick with them for a few laps
As someone who uses Mouse & Keyboard occasionally when driving outside of league races, I felt personally roasted by your comment @ 1:27 😂😂
If you don't have a permanent rig for your wheel and pedals, it's still worth using M&K for some tests or casual driving if you're aware of the input limitations.
Sorrrrrrrryyyyyyy :D :D
I made the same video 2 days ago. We are together man, connected
no way! :D
A humble Feedback: You should put timestamps for the video.
I've been racing now for 1 year in AOR after watching your streams for so long now. Currently on PlayStation but hoping to get a pc this year. Hope you come back to apex soon 👍
I got tired of Gran Turismo and I in the next few weeks I'm planning to buy a wheel. The problem is that I don't have a PC and I won't be able to get one at least till next year, so I was planning to buy the PS4 version of ACC. Do you people know if there's still an active online community on ACC for PS4? I'd love to get some nice online racing, enter a league or something, but I know most people play this game on PC.
Thanks for you answers!
With the update 1.8 i cant play anymore, i lost 20/15 FPS, i try to play but its imposible to play at 40fps with a 1050ti, and i dont know what to do... Before the update i was playing at HIGH with 60fps.
Im just getting into this and Im finding that on 20 minute races vs AI all the other cars pit EARLY...My pit window doesnt open for 8-9 minutes so I am running the track alone damn near all the time..what gives?
I haven't touched ACC for a couple of years, the graphics and the physics are amazing but i find the pit stop system over whelming and over complicated, keeping an opponent behind me while choosing tyres...fuel and driver swap takes to long, I might return to the game when all the pit options can be called with a microphone.
Jardier, i have questions about acc, so i have ps5 and Controller only, is there a gyro option for the controller or you can only steer the car with the joystick? And for the cars, do u pay them with real money? But I’m sure you don’t know about the ps5 Part since you use a pc if I’m correct
How come no one is talking about Fanatec, CSL DDpro bundle not working, strait out of the box!!!! Ive been on the forum and can see there are numerous complaints with the same problem, and these have had to be pre ordered, 2 months prior, and to find that it doesnt work, and then to have zero response from them, well, its damn right appalling,..... and still waiting.
I tried it on a ps4 with the GT DD Pro and the FFB is too weak for me to play it. I’ve watched a crap ton of set up vids and it still feel so weak compared to GT7. Im hoping if I ever get a PS5 it’ll be better.
I understand what is steering lock but it doesn't do anything. I change it and wheel turns the same amount of degrees. I can put it to 90° and still I need to turn it 900°. What am I missing?
i just started acc 2 days ago in single player practice mode to get used to my new DD wheel(simagic alpha)i created a really nice livery for ferrari 488 evo, saved it and everything however
i cannot find where the car is in the game, how do it find it to actually drive it?i have read some suggestions how to do it but they do not work, any help would be great,,thanks,
I have a question, after seeing this video i bought ACC for PS4 but my software has no video tab in the options menu… i saw other videos where people don’t have it. I want it because the view is shaky as if the camera is mounted on my helmet! Any idea how to solve this. Your software does have the video tab though!
Can someonepoint me in a direction for a freindly community for console players?, i want to get into sim racing and id love the help for setups and driving techniques. I do well in forza n GT as such but i wanna take it to the next level thank you 🙏🏽
I wish the Sim Grid dailies actually had a population. I even raced against you(and got dusted haha). Its been dead for weeks. Where's everyone at? lol
Buy dd2, hydraulic brake, play random public servers and download project zomboid
Excellent overview of the game. I have played it quite a bit but still learned a bunch of stuff.
This game actually works very well on GeForce Now for anyone that doesn't have a gaming PC but still wants to try it
I hate online quick match. I race 3 days online haven’t got a race I’m not hit intentionally. I literally go to the other side of the track way off the race line and still get fucked.
Thanks, Great content. Is there a rating to reach to be able to create a single player championship? I can't create one after a couple hours of free practice.
Hi, hope you can help? Playing off line in assetto corsa manual start no problem works every time. go on line manual start works great right up to the start of the race then nothing at all. Is a pain as soon as i have to start from the pit lane engine starts??
Is there any south american active community? I'm brazilian and I just can't find people to race with
Ciao ma la rotazione sterzo va lasciata 900 gradi ? Io sono con pc Con Xbox la rotazione andava cambiata per ogni auto con pc lo fa in automatico Giusto ? Conosci il setting per thrustmaster ts xw? Ciao bravo Sim
Love your channel but you need to slow the fk down your way to fast to understand what your saying and showing us. Other than that great job! 👍
Can anyone tell me if the PlayStation ps4/ps5 lobbies will be split after the February update?
Just skimming through barely showing us. Don't wanna look at your face
Hey i want to play this game online but it is saying that i'm disconnected but i don't now how to fix it so i can play online. Does somebody now what i need to do?
Thanks for this video mate. Started this year again with simracing.
great summary! would love to see you fighting at LFM :)
Lets not forget that all racing games are video games. Just game and will never be more than games :D
im trying to bind my throttle and brake but they have the same number (axis 3) and doesnt work
This guy smiles so much he is either actually happy with inner peace. Or he's insane. What is it?
so bro I can not play it on joystic...maybe I dont have money to spende on wheel and everything
According to Aris, your wheel driver ffb should be set to 100%, then reduce in-game ffb strength to suit.
In-game ffb strength above 60% will produce clipping.
Hopefully the American update has Road America and Daytona 24 Hr tracks... possibly Road Atlanta (which is a stretch)
Road Atlanta was always my favorite track in forza, would be dope in acc. Road America and Sebring too
I just got the game and im waiting for it to finish download im so hyped thanks for the tips
Just wanted to know how to start the f****** game ! Not how you like the playing it
Thank you for this video, I need how to start in assetto corsa competizione.
So much information...thanks.... can't wait to race on ACC
“Getting molested by GT3’s for 6 hours” 😂
Which acc leagues wpuld you reccomend for xbox series x ?
If anyone sees this, the game is currently free to play on steam for 2 more days
The timing of this could not have been more perfect!!
У меня Ls2, хороший не дорогой шлем для старта)
A very useful video, greetings from Spain
I still think its a sim and not a game. I’m a simracer. Not a gamer 😉
Dude, you look legitimately happy while recording. A diamond in the rough on YT in my experience. I'm planning on getting this so my dad can play it in VR with my new wheel/pedal setup and your whole attitude towards ACC has almost made up my mind.
Thank you:)
all of this information is wrong i think you should try csgo
😆
Everything is on its way! Cant wait to start with sim racing
if ur on consoles with controller Uninstall game
Duuuude! This video has helped me a lot! It has been so frustrating racing on random servers! Thank you!
So much insight and so many tips! This will be a video I’ll watch back multiple times as I couldn’t digest all the info in one go. Definitely interested in an ACC car setup oriented video. Thanks for this Jardier!
Does this game supports keyboard??
FYI! SIM RACING IS STILL VIDEO GAMING 😆😆🤣
Jardier you mensioned the community racing but didn't explain how you get there
What i named all communities! 😂 just register there and you are done

Ciao hello to all 👍👍❤💛
Very helpful, Thank You.
my only issue is how much a racing gig can get.
I dug out my old G25 and tried to run this. Installed game and hopped into a training session on Monza - I can't even stay on the track for more than like 2-3 corners lol. I think I managed to do 2 "clean" laps in a row in like 50 laps I tried, but I still haven't been able to complete 4 clean laps in a row so far. The wheel is hyper sensitive, like when you touch and move it by 0,1°, the car in game will almost make a 90° curve. So whenever I get out of a corner and try to just get the car to drive straight again, I notch the wheel left/right trying to make it go straight and spin out immediately. Not sure what I'm doing wrong there, I had no problems with rFactor (the old one, back then) and even drove 24hr races there, but in ACC I can hardly get a single lap done, and that is when I'm alone on a track.
I don't know if it's because of this, but the new Ferrari Challenge and Porsche Cup and Lamborghini ST are allowed in the National class. So maybe that's why they added them
Hello,i have only one question.I got ACC for my computer and i plan to start playing it.I watched dozens of videos on UA-cam related to ACC
including a few of yours.I am total beginner when it comes to playing races on PC,so i don't have any significant experience, only my experience was Project Cars.I grew up with PlayStation and Gran Turismo sequels,so ACC, is completely new to me.And someone mentioned to me to tray a I Racing???!!! And also this: i play with a gamepad. So any advice is welcome, what should i do? Thank for your reply.
Thanks for waisting my time
i used to play acc back when it was in beta, and now i got a new wheel setup so i wanted to get back into it.
im not really a beginner, but i struggle with the question of what times to aim for:
my telemetry software has some global leaderboard it pulls from somewhere, but thats like the top of the top, absolutely cracked people.
is there a good source for this stuff? cause looking up hotlap videos on youtube is just not a reliable source, you never know what skill level these people are on...
i just want a realistic goal i can follow
I've just started with sim racing. Bought GT sport on PS5. Played with controller. Ok but not great. Bought ACC because of the PS5 upgrade. Can't play it with controller. So looked at reviews for a wheel. Decided on T300. Also bought AC, ACC, Automobalista 2 and Project cars 2 on PC. Tried the wheel after setting it up on PC. Wow blown away with how good these games are with a wheel compared to controller.
Is it still a bad VR experience?
Rfactor 2 use real time weather.
Will they make career mode better?
Steering lock 900/900 or 800/800?
thanks for all the acc videos. I ended up switching from acc on ps4 to acc on Xbox series x. Night and Day difference.
Loving your videos.
Too Long Don't Have To Read:
I might not be in position to pick up any "fresh" sim-stuff (sticking with GTR2 - yeah, cars are old but general feeling somehow is similar) or even the wheel (just a "normal" laptop with external keyboard for racing), I do love stuff you do and I must say - like two years ago I had to use High TC for any car with keyboard. And even with that I would spin out every 12 minutes (literally). With all races I have watched and stories been told (well, sometimes I even forget that there is race in background!) I have got to place where I can drive with Low TC for long races actually pushing the car and doing corners in right way (in short - before I tried to overcook entry and tires, losing ton of time and placing myself into spinning position), understanding what car actually does. Sure, keyboard has it's limitations but now I don't have to "regret" not having wheel so much and can spend free money for kartinh "outside".
Cheers and get these 100K this year!
You forgot about the next-gen consoles update! And the fact SimGrid has added official Xbox space for leagues which will start growing from the upgrade, which is the 24th of February
can you mix hardware brands? for example, Thrustmaster wheel base and Fanatec pedals?
Unfortunately no. Its all like an ecosystem of its own such as apple has with iphone apple watch and such!
@@jaycausey1830 i've found the answer since I posted that question and you can mix brands. On PC, not consoles. Just use a USB for each component.
Hey m8 thx for the tips! Im driving the m4 and change to 565(base)/565(ingame steering lock) and it feels way better. U do same if u drive m4? And which damper ffb do u prefer for m4 (0, 15 or 40%)? Thx in advice✌
If I'm on my PS4 can i still do the community races?
well with other PS4 users yes :) There is no crossplay
for example simgrid?
How about price? What included with the game, and what do you have to buy? I tried iracing and that is an expensive game.
AOR is still the biggest sprint league by a considerable margin (400 signups and counting for the upcoming Season 9) ;)
Thank you so much for this. I've been struggling to gel with acc ever since I got the game at launch, but this tutorial helped me see what I was doing wrong and as soon as I followed this video, I realized I was getting faster and faster. Thank you so much👏
Just got ACC having just got my first gaming PC. Super excited and really pleased you made this video!
Was a Xbox Fanatec before and the jump has been worth it
Might have to join one of those websites after playing today after recently getting my first wheel i got demolished by some guy who didn't even bother braking on the corner 😂
Can u make a video explaining what can be a basic pc set up to start playing. I would like to play on pc but I don’t know what to buy in order to not spend too much money. Thanks a lot mate, u are the best and I really enjoy your lives and your driving.
Great vid as always Jardier. In regards to the 800-800 steering lock setting, do you know if this hack works on console as well? Long time GT player, looking to get into more realistic sims
