Nice to get the George Harrison box set in good shape! Olias Of Sunhillow is so good! Dang it, no Weem vinyl! 😃
Hey Larry! I was pleased, I had never come across 'OOS' until now. And now that you say it, I have never come across Ween in the wild, unless you count an old man in the park wearing a trench coat.....
Great bunch of vinyl dream weaver album 👌the snow goose is one of my most listened to albums 👍
Thanks Jack! 'Snow Goose' is a pleasant surprise!
Great haul! Love The Notorious Byrd Bros, Rick Nelson …I don’t have the LP just the Garden Party single, Pat Travers!!! Boom Boom Out Go The Lights live is classic…I don’t have that one you got. Great Bangladesh set! Off Broadway classic 70s power pop, right up my alley!! Cheers Steve! 🎶🎸🐶👍🤠🍻
Thanks Matt!
I've got a lot of love for both Camel and Gentle Giant- both have some fantastic catalogues with some nice variety
Hey Darcy! Camel may be the one I do a complete deep dive on. Not sure I can get past the GG vocals. Thanks!
Wow, even I have Dream Weaver. Pretty good pickups and a good price.
Hey Brian! Not sure why I didn't because I have a lot of his stuff. Cheers!
I’m glad I had a couple of business trips to Chicago in the late 90s/early 00s. I had some incredible dining experiences.Gary Wright! I know you love Spooky Tooth as well. Excellent Steve Miller pickups Steve! ✌️
Thanks Mike! That was before the city went to hell, so odds were you could get out alive. I do love my Spooky Tooth! Cheers!
Up on got some good ones there Steve especially Curved Air and Camel. Cheers Mike 👍
Thanks Mike! I'm doing a Camel deep dive this year. Cheers!
I like the first three records. Garden Party is a fun song 😊
Thanks Catherine! Yes, very clever lyrically. Cheers!
The Byrds for a couple of bucks..that is a deal..Concert For Bangladesh is awesome..great score..looks like you had a good day👍❤glen
Hey Glen! Nice big show held every other month, normally about 75-90 dealers. Cheers!
great haul Steve 🙂 and all for a superb price!
Thanks Nick!
Great stack of records at nice price point.
Able to see Pat Travers Band back up Aerosmith on Rock and a Hard Place tour many moons 🌙 ago.
Hey Brian! Many things are many moons ago....
Absolutely love Avalon Sunset, I'd kill to have that on vinyl! I grabbed a nice Concert for Bangladesh last summer, no tears on the box. Enjoy!
Hey Sam! Funny thing was I just saw Steve Carlson a week ago beaming because he found a copy in the wild, and I thought the same as you. Thanks!
You had a great day at the record show Steve. The Byrds record is superb, more so at that price. I found the Bangladesh with a nice box a few years ago. Cheers.
Hey Jack! Outside of the cold weather, it was a pretty good day! Cheers!
Great pickups Steve.I remember seeing Gary Wright on the Mike Douglas show and his guitarist was George Harrison kind of says what kind a guy George was.Off Broadway good band and Steve Miller 5 always like his early albums more than the later
Thanks Thomas! Yes, they were like best friends. Cheers!
Hi Steve!!! always nice when you go to a record show/fair and you end up with a good stack of records for a nice deal. I think you had a good deal with the ones you added and cool to see a very good "Concert For...." copy and so do those two Steve Miller records. cheers and be well
Hey Cristian! Yep, I always think that if you feel like you got a good deal, than you probably did. Cheers!
Hi Steve.
I just listened to my 3 Camel CD's a few days ago and I really do enjoy them.
Would love some more Byrds on vinyl. Love that record.
Very nice haul 😊
Thanks Morten!
I really need to go to a record show, never been to one ever. Cool pick ups Steve, Curved Air and Camel heck yeah. You picked up some really nice albums and for a decent price.
Hey Don! Never been to a record show in all 39 years of your life!? I thought these were pretty good prices for Chicago. Cheers!
That’s a great Camel record! I think you’ll enjoy Camel and Gentle Giant. They both had awesome exhaustive box sets come out in recent years. The artwork on Olias is fantastic! You mentioned the Aragon and this live album popped in my head from a band that never “made it” so to speak called Winterhawk and the Aragon live album is called There and Back Again recorded in the 70s. Check out the track “Free to Live” from that live album and see if you like it.
Hey Brian! I think I'll have a tougher time with Giant due to the vocals. I'll have to look for some Camel box sets, thanks for the heads up! Never heard of Winterhawk, just gave that song a listen. I am sold and on the hunt! Cheers!
I like your vinyl finds here. A lot of older records with a nice variety. I think by early 80’s Pat Travers had been relegated to “Special Guest “ slot for some other older band or up and coming. I know I saw him a couple times back in the day.
Hey Gary! Yes, he went back to basically playing bars and very small clubs, not sure how he did in his homeland of Canada, but I can't remember any of our friends to the north showing his music. Thanks!
I bought that concert for Bangladesh last year at my local flea market. Great shape including the box w booklet ( it’s a great read). The recording sounds spectacular especially the acoustic instruments. Ravi played so well. Those 2 Steve Miller albums looked interesting. Nice haggling my man 👌
Thanks Greg! I only asked for $8 off, and then he took off another $10. Not expected, but that is why he is my go to guy. Cheers!
OMG, you found Avalon Sunset, I have looked since the flood for that as I lost my OG. I finally found a good price on discogs
Too funny, as I saw your video where you found it, and I thought to myself I would like to find it on vinyl. Less than 2 weeks later it falls into my lap. Cheers!
The Rick Nelson album is country/folk rock which I quite like and "Garden Party" is a favorite of mine. It was good to see you picked up the Van Morrison and Byrds albums. I have that Off Broadway album, catchy power pop. Cheers.
Thanks Randy! Van was the most expensive of all the ones I got. Cheers!
@@AisForAliceBisForBob I only have it on CD. I haven't sprung for the vinyl.
Sounds like you had a good time and some cool pick ups. I've never been to a record show, I know bad vinyl collector. I would probably need to take out a loan if I did😀
Hey Craig! It's a pretty big show so you can always find what you're looking for. Cheers!
Hey Steve.... Nice finds. Its been a while since I hit the record shows as its tough to get out that way for me plus I need to slow down on buying LOL.
Hey Vance! Good thing it is geographically difficult to get to. Cheers!
Nice pickups all around, Steve. I also have the same Bangla Desh LP set. Everyone raves about the Dylan side (which is really good), but Leon Russell knocks it out of the park! Solid Van the Man. I've also got one Gentle Giant LP: heady stuff! 😎🎶
Hey Ed! I agree, Leon to this day (sadly) does not get enough love. One of those artists who got away from me as I never saw him live. Cheers!
@@AisForAliceBisForBob I was able to see Leon live when he toured with Elton John. Elton I had seen countless times by that point - it was all about Leon for me!
Steve if I was a dealer, I’d want to keep you behind the table to keep everyone in check on their music knowledge!
Great pick ups buddy, enjoy!
Customer- “Hey Sir, do you have any
Billy Joel or the single to
Benny & the Jets from Elton?”
Steve - “Get the hell away from my table, move on SCREW!” Lmao 🤣
You know me too well!
nice score on that george album! im sure you made a lot of people happy since im pretty sure alex said thats his favorite camel album and larry should be happy since he loves jon andersons debut and emma since ive seen her show that off broadway on instagram! im surprised you didnt have that bryds album!
Hey Jack! Alex did tell me it is his fav, so he fully endorsed my purchase. I only had one other Byrds album. I have a 4 CD Anthology box set of theirs so I've never bothered picking up anything on vinyl, but since this was less than $2.00 - why not grab it? Cheers Jack!
I want that shirt as it has my hero on it. Wow, starting off with The Byrds and then "Dream Weaver" , this video is full of excellent picks. Love that Camel album. I'm also a Pat Travers fan, but I only have one of his albums....Black Pearl, which is a great album by the way. Beautiful find with the Van Marrison album, and that Jon Anderson album is his best solo album. Let me know what you think of those early Steve Miller Band albums, I absolutely love his early stuff and Number 5 is probably my favorite even if it is all over the place stylistically, I think that's why I loved it so much. Nice finds!
Hey Mike! That is one of my 3 SW shirts. I have Pat's entire discography, but my fav are his first 3. I really like the Miller albums. Thanks!
I tried a Curve Air album before and I just didn’t get it, I might be a little slow. I have had some people send me Gentle Giant and I did enjoy them. I am also missing Dream Weaver, that is such a great song. You found some great bargains Steve
Hey Steve! You can't connect with everything, so thank god for so many bands and genres. Cheers!
Alright everybody. C is for a word that Australians say a lot and shocks most of the rest of the English speaking world. I need to get those early 70's Byrds records. They're meant to be really good. I love and own all of the 60's records. I like Cheap Trick so I will check out Off Broadway. Cheers...Ben
Hey Ben! Yes, I hear it a lot on British TV. I know it is a cultural thing, but I find the word to be very harsh. I'm no prude, but I don't think I've ever used the word. Quite sure if you wanted to get "cancelled" in the US, calling a woman that would put you i n the express lane. Also checkout a couple other power pop bands from Chicago; Material Issue, and The Shoes. Cheers!
@@AisForAliceBisForBob I have Black Vinyl Shoes which is a corker. I will check out Material. Thanks for the tip. As far as the C word goes I think maybe in the US it's used as just an insult. Over here it's almost a term of endearment. eg. "How're ya goin' ya c... Haven't seen ya for ages" Yep it's different over here.
Great finds! you forgot to mention Ronnie Montrose appears on the Gary Wright album. I have that Off Broadway album. I think your the first one ive ever seen show it
Hey Doug! I know, and I could've tied Ronnie into being in Van Morrison's band back in the day. I'm sure Emma at Eight Vinyl Low has showed Off Broadway. Give her a sub if you haven't. Thanks!
