After a long hike and ride through the desert, we finally reached the largest wooden trestle bridge in the world. It looks straight out of Red Dead Redemption.
Dope. Going on a road trip to Arizona. Adding this to my itinerary
It's so rad, I will be releasing a long form video soon with more detail but when you go, if temps are expected to be above 75 prepare for some intense heat. It just feels stronger out there. There are a few different ways to go, my first attempt was from the North and I failed because all of the tunnels were locked. But when you come from the south, it's 8 miles one way with a ton to see along the way. There are 16 tunnels, you go through at least 10 of them, 2 have collapsed and you just ride/hike around them. But there's abandoned railcars, bridges and tunnels to explore along the way. And make sure you have enough water, it can get brutally hot. Definitely let me know if you make it!
Beautiful.
Thank you!
That is so sick must’ve took forever to build
So where is this trestle located?
Just a few miles north of the US / Mex border in Southern California. This is the Goat Canyon Trestle. This is the coolest hike/ride I have ever done and can't wait to go back to cover it more thoroughly, I am going to release a long form video on this in full 4k cinematic goodness.
@@JustinBradleyPhotographer thanks for the location. I'll be looking forward to seeing your more extended video on this place. Really cool!
Just be careful it's illegal to go out there now . Do it at your own risk
What an adventure! Check out the full story here: ua-cam.com/video/hGWNJvtK0oM/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for checking my channel out!
Imagin the guys that built that
Insane! I would have died for sure. Worth the watch, Huell Howser's California Gold Episode: "Trestle" you can watch the episodes through the Chapman University site. He goes up there with guys that worked on it and some were children of the men who built it. The stories I have read while researching this place are humbling for sure. If you want to see more, I am releasing a full indepth video about this bridge in 11 am PST, (about an 1 and a half from now)
Awesome video!!!
Thanks bro!!
Whoa is that a train box on the hill?
I believe that was a water tank for passing locomotives. I can't remember if that was for steam locomotives of some other purpose. There was a train car on one of the hillsides that used to be full of coors light.
Wicked ❤
