- Could this be the best battery powered speaker out in the market? Watch me as i review and rigorously put this speaker to the test. Totally unbiased review. By the way i love yorkville products! LOL.. Made in Canada! Represent! Make sure to watch the video until the end. Please don't forget to like, subscribe and all that good stuff! Thanks fam! Until the next one....
For a battery powered speaker this sounds impressive! Have you heard this speaker yet? Or do have it? What are your thoughts on this review?
How does this speaker compare with your JBL battery powered speaker? Which one do you like better?
@@isaacmejia9856 I’m actually gonna do a side by side comparison with the JBL soon. The JBL has more features and tech on it but I like the yorkville cuz it sounds good right out of the box and is definitely louder than the JBL. I would hsve to give the edge to the yorkville on this one
@@DjNinesworld which JBL though? There is the JBL 310. A party speaker. You gonna compare to that?
@@bboyStuntZ no not the party box series. It’s the JBL Eon one compact. It’s pretty much the direct competition of the yorkville EXM mobile 8. Same weight, same build, same size and same 8 inch woofer
@@isaacmejia9856 I recommend a speaker box you can replace the battery.
My band played through two of these last weekend. 4 piece. 2 vocal mics. 1 cajon mic. Violin, guitar and bass. It was an outdoor gig at the Great Glebe Garage Sale in Ottawa. And it rocked. I was utterly shocked by the low end response out of two of these. I can only imagine with the bass bin. Btw..used a battery powered FLOW 8 mixer (which is an exceptional piece of kit)
I have the mobile 8, later found out that roland, Yamaha and ev also make battery speakers. Cant wait to hear some comparisons on those units to see if I made the right choice.
Yo I just used it yesterday. The thing is a beast. Small, loud, light weight, and good quality. So far no complaints. That's a good point you made about the power button though. I live in Toronto also and I used it in front of the Eaton Center with all the traffic and emergency vechicles. It can be heard over that stuff too. The guy at Long and Mcquade said to avoid the clip light flashing cause that's a warning that it's too loud. So haven't done full volume yet. But I don't even have to bump it that loud anyway for my street performance. Anyways good review. DJ Nine. I'll remember that. Maybe we'll cross each other one day. Respect.
Respect buds!🙏 Beast of a speaker I’m telling you.
I just picked up the EV Everse8 and I'm impressed. This Yorkville is interesting as it seems to have similar specs, but wins with 3 actual inputs. I may pick one up.
I've had a few of these battery 8" speakers and yes the Everse8 has beat them all. Loud, clear, waterproof, auto input sensitivity, and DC output for mic receivers. This Mobile-8 was at the top of my list but the battery was the thing that stopped me.
Sounds like an awesome speaker! Great review buds
Thanks man! Appreciate you
yo! i enjoy your videos . have you listen to the exm 70 or the exm mobile the ones with the 6" drivers?
if so how do they compare to the mobile8? thanks in advance and thanks for the videos
Thank you! I think the mobile 8 has a little more punch in terms of output and bass than the exm 70.
Awesome review, looking forward to the comparison with the JBL
Thanks for watching!🙌🏼
So when you have it hooked to sub and second speaker through Bluetooth, can you broadcast a guitar through all those channels?
I know the thump go fails at even broadcasting a mic through left and right channels when connected Bluetooth.
Hmmm not sure about that. Going to have to find out. Thanks for your question.
This could be my next pa karaoke system .. just too bad no battery interchangeable 😢
I agree with the removable battery.. Still an awesome speaker tho
The only complaint I see people saying on other forums are about the fact that the battery is not replaceable and eventually you will have to replace it if you don’t want to have power cords everywhere for a gig. What are your thoughts?
Hi Mike yes that is actually my biggest complaint myself aswell. If you live in canada it shouldn't be much of a problem sending it in to get replaced as it is a 2 years unlimited warranty. After the 2 years you will have to pay for the replacement and im not sure how long it takes for the turn around time. Thats the major con everyone has but if you can overlook that it is the best 8 inch speaker out there in terms of volume, clarity, bass response and the mixer section has a lot of options aswell.
I try also the bose s1 pro to me in terms of sound quality I pick this yorkville exm mobile 8 way much better clarity of bass, mids and high its a 3way speaker and its made in Canada the bose s1 pro made in China
Exactly!
Hi bro, You have the Bose s1 pro and the exm Mobile 8?
I'm interested in the speaker and have a few questions. How does the self noise/hiss of this speaker compare to the Bose S1 Pro? Also, which has the least amount of port noise/buzzing at higher spl?
Great questions. I will do my best to address these questions when i do my comparison video of the S1 pro and exm mobile 8. Thanks
@@DjNinesworld Great, thankyou. Look forward to checking out your impressions. Any idea when you hope to do this roughly?
I’m hopeful for an S1 vs EXM comparison!
Yorkville products are the truth! Great review
Yes the are!! Thanks man!
Are they better than Maui speakers brand?
I haven't tried any maui brand speakers so i cannot comment if they are better to be honest. Yorkville is quality though that is a fact and its made in canada lol #homegrown
Hehehe Thanks for the reply brother 🙏
I just recieved the exm mobile 8, just need to get this 3 way, right now i have the eon one compact
Those are both great speakers! But the yorkville gets louder and clearer.
@@DjNinesworld sorry i meant i just recieved the exm mobile 8 subwoofer, dual 8" , also already own the jbl compact for the top,
@@BenJamin-ou7kd nice! Battery powered is a game changer🙌🏼 Enjoy buds!
You're buzzin the soundboks Wireless speaker 🔊 is the best 👌 👍
Hey buddy i appreciate your comment and your opinion. Maybe it is? Although i've never heard the soundboks in person yet.
I cannot find anywhere, where can i order them ? Btw great video
Where are you from? Maybe look for a local distributor?
@@DjNinesworld HAWAII 🤙
Yorkville needs to design them with swappable batteries
100% agree!!!
Is there an app for this speaker like the EV Everse8?
Unfortunately no app
@DjNinesworld ahhhhh there's the difference for me. Oh well. I still may pick one up. Maybe find used
🙌🏽
☺️🙏
como lo pido para peru y en cuanto tiempo llegaria
How would you compare it to the Bose S1 Pro?
Ive rented the bose S1 Pro and the exm mobile 8 is just as good honestly. Maybe even a little louder than the bose. I think. But check it out. You won't be disappointed. I promise you that!
Pls make a vs :(
@Joshua Buyze ld systems maui 5 go.
@Joshua Buyze exactly! Everyone keeps thinking bose is a boom box or something. If you want bass, then get a sub, or a jbl partybox.
Hola saludos de Perú quisiera saber si puede trabajar con 1 guitarra 1 guitarrón y y cantante a ti en un mismo tiempo gracias por su respuesta
Hi Yoel! Yes you can plug in 1 guitar and also plug in a microphone for a singer! Thank you for the comment!
Sorry to completely disagree with you. I'm a big Yorkville fan. I own a bunch of higher end Yorkville gear and this speaker has very low fidelity for music playback. Very disappointed and it is absolutely being returned immediately. If anyone is interested in a speaker of this type, keep in mind it is mediocre for music playback. If you're a singer and going to play guitar with it, maybe give it a try.
Thanks for your opinion!
this or bose s1?
Yorkville hands down!
@@DjNinesworld Why?
@@WWeiss-nv5vz it’s louder, deeper bass response, more clarity and it’s built better. More rugged. You can drop this thing off of a building and it’ll still work perfectly
Lol. Battery is NOT user replaceable.
yup
Garbage 🗑
duct tape a plastic bottle cap over it... diiiiiittttttt...
LOL
