I enjoyed her speaking about hormones and how cordisol can be excreted out of our body. How it affects humans. I'm also a Massage therapist so when she spoke about human touch and how it is so important. It also made me ponder on how hormones also affect my clients and I. That there has to be a balance.

My husband of 33 years left our marriage in 2020. He was having as affair with another woman from his office. He was CEO-she was Exec Secretary.
They are still together. We both were surrounded by friends who are in long term relationships. Both sets of our parents had long time marriages. So many people around us said they could never have predicted that we would be divorcing. I always believed we could work on things and get back together. But he left without ever wanting to discuss the pain, or the problems we had within the relationship.
I did delve into the work that I needed to do on myself. Lots of counselling, so much reading, prayer, trust and self-inspection.
I have recently met an amazing man. He loves me in a way I never knew was possible. I think God for the journey. I would never have left on my own.
God moves things out of the way that no longer serve you.

I’m glad I’m not married. We live in very strange times. I urge every woman to not fall for the “it’s too late” mindset. I love myself too much to settle for anyone I don’t have chemistry and connection with, or that is sincere. It’s hard to find these days.

These are wonderful (counterpoint) examples to the negative messages that bombard youth today. I don’t remember a time that can overwhelms one, before even getting started in the journey of life. Learning emotional regulation for each of us is so important. Here shows adults and older kids they could be empowered to their goals and desire’s . With self awareness and an attitude that they are truly their best friend. Seeking and reflecting on the best for themselves.

My mother kept us jumping in an attempt to please her entire lives and I only realized it at 54 years old, I dropped a fork on the floor and I heard that click of the tongue with that disapproving sound. I immediately changed my reaction, and that resets your body programming from childhood, when you just take a breath and sit for a moment... and had a huge Revelation that that is why I always gave 90% in a relationship LOL without ever being asked to do anything in particular, I would jump to it and go above and beyond. Hypervigilance occurs so you don't even get to really experience or remember or be fully present for your own childhood when you are constantly reacting to a parent's high level of anxiety or disapproval. So grateful for all of it, and I know exactly why I chose my parents and family members and experiences in this lifetime to teach me about myself❤

I LOVED 99% of the interview with Dr. Swart but I wanted to call out the ageism that comes out of nowhere when she says "depending on how old you are, people find you attractive." All women especially need to expurgate ageism from their minds. Women are found attractive at 80, 90, there is NO AGE LIMIT on being beautiful. Thanks.

    • @mahalie23
      @mahalie23 7 місяців тому +26

100% agree and winced at that as well. Wondered if perhaps (hopefully) she simply meant there are fewer single options as you age. Or perhaps, let’s be real, there is neuroscience behind sexual attraction to women who are past child bearing age. Biology is a thing 😒 either way an elaboration would be nice!

I like that Dr. Swart insinuated that men in general are attracted to youthfulness. It’s important that more and more women understand evolutionary needs imbedded in men so that we are better equipped with navigating the dating market at whatever age. I have been married for almost 10 yrs. My marriage taught me the differences in what men value in women compared to what women value in men. In general, men tend to be visual in nature. They get hooked by the physicality first. Eventually they fall in love with other attributes such as femininity (agreeable, nurturing, playfulness etc). I realize that my husband could care less about my career and instead is turned on by my mothering of the children, nurturing of him, smiling, playfulness etc. He will help me in my career but that’s not what turns him on. I had a friend who was in her sixties and back on the market due to being widowed. She understood men’s nature so well that she never once bothered about not being youthful and instead brought other attributes such as playfulness, being agreeable, receiving ( tons of feminine qualities) and she got hitched in no time.

Women are attractive at 80? Like sexually attractive? Not at all. They can be pretty in a nice old person way, not sexually attractive like a 20 year old

It's true though. Regardless of gender. I'm 29, sorry not attracted to older men and women. I've seen very beautiful, elegant, and distinguished older people that I aspire to be and I'm sure I'll be attracted to that age when I'm there but when you're young no matter gender you have way more options and that's okay! That's youth. I'm enjoying my time in the sun and it's becoming less as I age but I also am feeling more confident about myself.

But if we want to manifest and use the Law of Attraction we just have to get out of our own way and know that we have already received it, no blockage is no doubt No Lack of faith, and sit in the vibration of gratefulness

Isn’t it crazy that he got married in the first place? If he had such a defiant attitude and unwillingness to communicate and resolve conflict or at the very least hear you out to reach a compromise then those vows never stood a chance.
I haven’t been in a relationship for a while but I’ve got to know a few guys recently and the regular disappointment I’ve experienced very early on is that they’ll say things but can’t back them up with action.
‘I’ll call you tomorrow evening”... you said you were going to do that and then you didn’t... and if there’s no acknowledgement or apology or explanation eg “so sorry, got caught up at work and forgot to call you” then that’s enough for me to diminish my opinion of him. Integrity is number one on my list of what I look for and I know if he’s capable of misaligning his words and actions at the start when he’s supposed to be impressing me and convincing me of accepting a date, then I know he’s capable of far worse when the going gets tough and the honeymoon is over.

“You meet people at the level of psychological wound that you have”
This is a paraphrase from Stephen Covey in his books ‘First Things First’ and ‘7 Habits Of Highly Effective People’. He expands on this statement thoroughly in his books. He also quotes history when he also says something like “…between stimulus and response is a space. It is in this space that we have the power to decide …’ …or make choices.
I think we need to get our history ducks to fly in formation here.

The power of our inner voice is both a bit frightening and also awe inspiring!! Our brain is so powerful, I struggled with self belief my whole life and even after years of therapy, growth and healing.. it still took EMDR therapy to break the negative inner diatribe. I didn’t realize that I was verbally assaulting myself ALL day long every single day. Until I stopped doing it. The peace I feel and the deep satisfaction I have in myself is incredible. Truly loving myself and believing in myself has been life changing. ❤

Words have such an impact! During my second pregnancy I was told several times by my OBGYN that my baby will be small, and I actually had painless natural delivery, which I thought is not possible unless it's baby number 10, and didn''t ask for any pain relief, I only used yoga ball and my second baby was born bigger than my first (I had pain relief during that delivery).

I literally cant be around them when it gets to that point because I can FEEL their stress! Im a heavy empath but its great to know there is science behind what Im feeling. Around 12-13 minute mark. This makes sense why so many people bond in the beginning of a relationship because of both traumas but as one starts to change a disconnect comes about. The same way with friendships if you’ve experienced trauma from parents and your friend did not this can become something that disconnects the both of you because you cannot see or feel the other person’s side or there maybe even envy.

@lisabilyeu I only found your channel because you interviewed dr Tara Swart who I had seen on another channel to do with other things like work stresses and the likes - her research and insight is invaluable. What I totally loved about your channel is the way in which she discussed more male/ female considerations and the issues in losing a child in a relationship came from your questions and you made the whole situation as to why people fall apart in such situations. Even though it was 10 years ago now, I lost my husband when he was 38 from a super rapid cancer. He was my world and couldn't believe that I had had 8 years with such an awesome person; but for me the worst thing was how his family turned on me. But with this insight I can now reflect and see, that they were hurting SO MUCH that they didn't have any space in their grief to be able to think about my situation. If a couple in love who lose their child (whilst he was 38) they would have found it hard to stay there for each other and the other siblings - just a moment of clarity and thanks

Hi everyone! The best neuralcognitive exercise you can do is rebounding! It gives The brain proprioception to gravity. It strips fat and builds muscle faster than any other workout there is. It flushes your entire lymphatic system every time you bounce, it heals your eyes, it allows your organs to start moving and becoming more fluid instead of stuck.

    • @DanceintheRaine666

I must jump on my Cellercizer again. It is a beautifully designed high quality rebounder. I bought the version which is portable as I was then commuting to my cabin weekly by BOAT, and I was loathe to miss a session. I could not justify the purchase of TWO rebounders and the portability of the rebounder was a wonderful solution.
I have serious hip issues and have periodically yoinked my hip out of alignment by simply turning an ankle on stone (when walking), so I knew I needed to avoid poorly designed units as the flimsy metal coils/bungee cords (as opposed to tapered springs) have resulted in injuries to those who used them.
Ive never turned an ankle or exascerbated any of my pre-existing (yet rehabbed) injuries. Downtime from flare-ups (or reinjuries) detract from daily training.
      Hope this is helpful.

One of my grandfathers was in a Stalinist concentration camp, and the other was Jewish and when Bulgaria was under pro-fasscist regime the whole family was forcefully sent to a town in which I know there were work camps for Jews, but nobody in my family wanted to talk about it. I know about the experiences in the Stalinist camp, because my grandfather wrote a book, and in addition to the initial persecution, my other grandfather suffered through communism as well.
I'm saying that because at certain times in my life I could see I'm reacting and behaving way differently than my peers and I realise it's because of transgenerational trauma. The book 'It Didn't Start With You' by Mark Wolynn really helped me untangle that, even though some of the ideas are more on the spiritual side.
I think spirituallity helps with understanding functions of the brain that are way below the cognitive and are practically genetically altered through generations.

You were dealing with a vulnerable covert narcissist, or obviously perhaps an overt one. And anything someone does or says or thinks is only reflection of what's going on with him then, about themselves. It is not yours to take on, or modify yourself for. They teach us to have a stronger sense of self, they have a toxic but strong sense of self and if we feel like doing our own healing then we will wake up sooner rather than later. It stems from the parental relationships that we dealt with, there are covert subtle tendencies that were emotionally abusive or traumatic that our bodies keep score with. And because we are energy, we are admitting your frequency that will bring the same type of person to us. We actually are doing our inner child healing when we are waking up to what's wrong with our partner relationships. As we become more introspective and question our belief systems and where they came from, whether they are healthy or for our highest good or not. We get to recreate from the ground up, and reparent ourselves in healthier ways, learn to love our bodies first and fill our own cups up otherwise we cannot offer others what we want to. But don't forget... we have to offer it to ourselves first

    • @jenifernadeau
      @jenifernadeau Рік тому +3

They are just meant to trigger us to start our healing, everything external, and every person, is meant to be a mirror to reflect back to us what we need to heal within ourselves. Which parent or caregiver or adult in your life, when you were a child.... did the same thing to you that your partner is doing? When you dig deep, you'll see the similarities. We keep attracting the same people in different bodies if we haven't learned our lessons, change our belief systems, and responded in different ways.
Most times we have to go gray rock or no contact with our family members who expect to stay dysfunctionally toxic and have us continue to play along.

However maintaining our own energetic frequency is not passive either.. It takes alot of persistence and understanding to bring ourselves to a higher vibration and stay there. There is alot of energetic labour that takes place.. It's okay.. At this moment in time this type of labour is not recognised.. In time it will be when we start to understand consciousness in a more tangible way

@lisaBilyeu This is a great interview, you really allowed her to talk, thank you. You'd researched beforehand, and asked great questions to keep the flow going and bring out so much of her knowledge. I saw Tara being interviewed by someone else on UA-cam and learned much more from the first 15 minutes of her interview with you than a whole hour in the other one. I appreciate the way you don't try to make it about you, thank you for letting her talk so well!

Dear Lisa, thank you for a master level description and clear topical sequencing of the interview. It helps a lot to navigate and digest the dense valuable content. I'd also like to thank you for inviting and leading such well-prepared thematic interview with the well-grounded and exquisitely eloquent guest. I simply love how effortlessly the subtopics unfold and how the introductory clarification of complex human psycho-physiological phenomena are being explained. Dr Tara Swart has the scientifically professional, yet a calm human perspective placing her at the higher level of the star professionals that inspire women. An interview to be recommended to all who are working with themselves and with their relational aspects. Thank you.

2:42:30 to viewers who want to supplement EPA and DHA, you don’t have to eat fish to get it, because fish don’t produce it themselves, but they get it from their food, algae! So you can take algae oil and get it from the source, without harming fish, the oceans and without the poisons and plastics caught up in the fish. Testa is a great brand for algae oil 😃✅
