Harrison even handed the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" cast/crew the the best picture award Oscar along with that famous finger point to Ke and a big hug. How serendipitous is that?? ❤
The guy who plays the big guard fighting Indy on the conveyer belt is Pat Roach. He also played the sword wielding guy in the market that Indy shoots in "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and he plays the huge German guy Indy fights under the flying wing plane.
He is also in part III, but most of his appearance got cut out. If you look closely, the german officer entering the Zeppelin has a companion, that's him.
It’s so nice to see a reactor who gets the humor with Willie and doesn’t get all weirded out and offended. She’s comic relief and romantic interest combined. I think it was an interesting idea. It helps that it was just for one film.
Agreed.. Spielberg knows you have to up the challenge for a hero in a sequel. Therefore rather than having another two-fisted Woman as his sidekick again they gave him a spoiled Diva to have to deal with... And also a child to protect as well ...albeit a very capable kid who drives cars and knows kung fu... this made Indiana Jones's job more challenging in this film than in the first one- but in a different way... ultimately these are fantasy adventure movies but Spielberg found ways to create a lot of twists and turns where we follow the character Indy on these action adventures and create different characters for him and the audience to interact with
Rumor is the "Dinosaur" ride at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom is being repurposed to be Indiana Jones. The ride mechanism is similar, but the track layout is different, so it will even be a different route.
You're excitement over the opening wasn't stupid; it was endearing and really nice to watch. Apparently you're a performer. Just snippets of singing were indicative of you being more than just a reactor; you're a singer too. I really enjoyed you talking about it and I enjoyed hearing your singing. :)
Late to the game here... but THANK YOU! Thank you for NOT hating Willie Scott! She's comedic relief, and they wanted an "Indy Girl" very different from Marion (who's still in Nepal in 1935). And also, thanks for realizing that this was a prequel (1935 compared to Raiders being in 1936). Oh, Mythbusters did a test on the raft out of a plane and it was plausible!
It's so nice to see someone appreciate the old Hollywood/theater opening to this movie. It goes over most people's heads. This is the underrated Indy movie in general.
Great reaction. At 11:38 I'm not sure that you noticed that Indy says "goodbye Lao Che" and when he closes the airplane door it says "Lao Che airlines" thus falling into the villain's trap. Although, to be fair, it's an odd plot point to think you wouln't have just stopped Indy right then and there.
True, and such an expensive way to kill somebody - plane and poultry sacrifice - and make it seem "accidental" when minutes before he had guys trying to gun him down in public ... weird plot choice and gets weirder the more you think about it. Wouldn't be an Indy movie without one, really.
@@Joshu_YI'm not sure he was necessarily trying to make it look like an accident. He just wanted Indy dead at that point. As the owner of the air freight company he was probably rich enough that he could probably afford to lose one plane and its cargo. The fact that he could do all that in public suggests to me that he has some good connections which will allow him to avoid getting into trouble.
That's Chinese Mafia for you. Also, to share a bit of Chinese culture, until some decades ago, male sons were quite a must in families, if you had none or worse, only daughters, almost certainly you'd have been socially humiliated. Lao Che having two sons appears to have given him quite a lot of social prestige, and losing one surely was a great dishonour for him.
_The Temple of Doom_ may not be people's favorite Indy movie, but it has a lot of heart. Ke Huy Quan was in _Encino Man_ with Brendan Fraser, who was in _The Mummy 3_ with Michelle Yeoh, who was in _Everything Everywhere All at Once_ with Ke. The Oscar promotional tour was a reunion for them.
Temple of Doom has kinda been my last favorite Indy film, but watching you enjoying it so much, I actually ended up enjoying it for the first time. You made it better with your commentary and your laughter. You're awesome.
Part of what I think you're experiencing during the opening is intense nostalgia. The song means a lot to you and is integral to who you are and what you love. This is a perfect analogy for people like me who wore out the Indiana Jones VHS as a child. Watching reactors such as yourself experience what was integral in my childhood brings out those same feelings. I went and saw the new sequel with my aging parents last week. Just being there with them and hearing the theme song made me tear up.
Wonderful reaction. And I have a bit of a unique view of all this, as I saw this movie opening night at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood - and then saw Patti LuPone headline in Anything Goes on Broadway in the late 80's (although I was familiar with the song from before). The opening number was definitely a call back to Busby Berkeley, as has been mentioned. He produced so many musicals, with 42nd Street being so influential in the 30's. And even the whole Indy series (and Star Wars too, really) are callbacks to episodic adventure serials from the 30's-50's, freshened with the genius of Lucas and Spielberg. And this is where Spielberg met Kate Capshaw, which led to their marriage.
This movie had me from the very beginning for the same reasons it had you... when she sings "Anything Goes", you know that Spielberg means that literally and is gonna take us on a helluva ride. And I never understood the Willie hate so prevalent among viewers...as the opposite of Marion from the first film, she is hilarious in a Lucille Ball kind of way and ends up redeeming herself by the end. I love this movie, and was so happy years later to see Ke Huy Quan win his Oscar.
This is my favourite Indy movie and I absolutely love that you actually laughed about Willie and her interaction with Indy. Because yes, she is hilarious, but way too many people find her annoying. And I get it. She can be. But she is also a lot of fun. The bedroom scene between her and Indy, pure comedy gold! EDIT: Also, hearing you talk about the movie at the end of the video, I can only say that you absolutely get it, and I love this one for all the same reasons.
Out of all the reactions I've watched, I've noticed it's mostly the women who don't like Willie, and I've concluded that many women, especially younger ones, don't like seeing a woman be the comic relief in a film. IMO they've been conditioned that any time a woman isn't super-capable, strong, or in charge it's somehow insulting or demeaning to women, and they can't accept a character outside a certain mental box. It was super refreshing to see Miranda actually appreciate it as a character portrait.
@@DeathsjesterKMNP 2BFair.... Not just women react this way to her... Willie horrified me as a possible love interest for Indy when I was a kid: Marion seemed much better suited for a life of adventure--( I didn't know what prequels were ) so I resented Willie like you might resent your divorced Dad's new younger, shallower, obviously gold-digging wife.
Glad to see you're enjoying these movies, they're such a fundamental part of my childhood. Next movie coming up is by far my favorite of the whole bunch, and even more comedy!
Weirdly, the ONLY scene that ever disturbed/traumatized my 5-year-old self was the part with all the bugs and Kate Capshaw needing to pull that release lever. Still gives me anxiety TO THIS DAY.🤯
I loved your reaction to the opening Hollywood musical number! It's wonderful to see someone show so much enthusiasm for music, it's infectious as heck, and it takes me back to a precise time in my life. It was in high school that Phantom and Les Mis got me hooked, and then a few years later I acquired a lifelong deep affection for anything Sondheim.
I'm glad you liked this. I honestly think this is one of the most underrated movies of all time. When people say, "They don't make movies like this anymore," it's literally true. Just a combination of film stock and physical sets creates this wondrous, transporting, organic experience. [As an aside, I find it weird that few people think it's possible to survive falling out of a plane on a raft. It's an unbroken camera shot, and it's clear that the raft inflating creates enough wind resistance to slow it down. Once it hits the ground, it's slowed down sufficiently.]
Anything Goes- your smile and tears are very heartfelt! 11:40 the plane's door said "Lau Che", it was his airplane. 13:53 they did it on mythbusters. So glad you enjoyed the movie! Lots of reactors are put-off with Willie. I'm enjoying all of your reactions!
It's funny that Indy experiences so many supernatural events in this film, which takes place before Raiders. And yet in Raiders when Marcus tries to warn him about the power of the Ark, Indy scoffs at the idea that the Ark might have any actual power. He's literally seen a man get his heart ripped out and still live by this point! He shouldn't immediately dismiss the idea that the Ark might have special abilities. I know, they didn't know about ToD when they made Raiders, but still.
I'm right there with you Miranda. Temple of Doom is my favorite of the original three, with Raiders coming in second, and Last Crusade in third. It's backwards to a lot of people's rankings, but there is so much to love about ToD. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Im sure someone already mentioned this, but in case not, at around the 11:22 min mark in your video, the person guiding Indie to the plane is Dan Akroid and the 2x people standing in suits in the background are George Lucas and Stephen Speilburg. Also, look at some of the Chinese writing, you can see a depiction of C3PO and R2D2 if you look closely enough. Also, the Captain (Captain Blumburdt) at the palace is Mr Gradey from The Shining. Great content. Take care
11/10 reaction as always! Watching your reactions has made me remember why I love these movies so much. I definitely hope you end up reacting to all 5 movies. Yes, most people agree that 4 and 5 aren't as good as the original 3, but I think they're still a fun time and worth reacting to (and making up your own mind about).
It's nice to see a reaction from someone who actually has been in a musical. My favorites were South Pacific and Oklahoma, they were a lot of fun to do off Broadway in Connecticut and New Brunswick.
Bless your heart fir thinking you just came up with a theme park mine cart ride... 😁 Pretty much every kids dream from watching it, plus theme parks all over the world had them after this film. Love your excitement 😁👍
Harrison Ford is an amazing human being... Not only is a fine actor. But he has a good heart. He is an helicopter pilot who owns his own bird. He does search and rescue on his own time and dime.... When she was lowered into the fire, but Indy pulled her back from the flames. Was she hot & bothered after that????? Crocs and gators have to eat too!!!!!....I so much enjoy this series of movies, Mr. Ford is a darn fine actor!!! I first saw him in Star Wars way back when.... Take care and if you see the dude with the black eyes & heart, scream and cover your heart!!!! Until the next one.... Thank you girl......... LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never understood the hate this film has gotten, even back in the 90s when I first saw it. It’s not my personal favorite, but still a fun adventure. While you have child slavery, insects everywhere, etc., my biggest thing was being confused at how this film took place before Raiders but was made after (in my defense, I was a young kid that had no concept of a prequel).
I'm glad you liked it. Back in the day I also thought the three first got better and better, but since then I always go back and forth on which of the three is my ultimate fave. I'm also glad you liked Willie. A lot of people hate her, but I think she's a hoot.
The funny thing that I recently realized (SPOILERS) is that this is the only one where Indy actually succeeded. No, the stone didn't end up in a museum, but there was never that discussion in this one and he did return it to it's rightful place and the people. Every other movie, the villains use it anyway, then it gets locked away, or worse (despite Last crusade being my favorite too) lost completely, maybe even crushed by the earth, the only benefit is that it didn't pass the seal, but that was nothing to do with Indy anyway, that was just the curse or the powers that be or something.
It's my second favourite, after the original. I really love the third one, but apart from the great chemistry with Sean Connery it feels like an inferior version of Raiders. I love that Temple of Doom tried something different.
Your reaction to Anything Goes reminds me very much of myself the first time I saw Hamlet on stage as young kid, which right then and there also made me a theatre geek. I haven’t been on stage in a long time, but your excitement makes me want to perform again, but it feels like a lifetime ago. Also your reaction reminds me of Mel Brooks who also fell in love with Theatre via Anything Goes which his uncle took him to as a kid in the 1930s, I would die to see the production he saw with Ethel Merman.
I think it's fascinating how this one's a prequel to 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'. It'd be interesting for someone to watch this one first and then watch 'Raiders'. It's funny how this one leans into his more ruthless side.
Such a great reaction!! ☺ You got EXACTLY what these movies are intended for - non-stop, unbelievable, action, reaction, fun and excitement. And WHO came up with this stuff? George Lucas, mostly, that's who (along with Spielberg to a degree, as well). This is also why I am suspecting that you would love the 4th Indy movie, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It is made by the same people and follows the same DNA code of making a great Indiana Jones adventure movie - just when he's older and the time period has passed into the 50s. Much love!! ❤❤❤
I still get very emotional about Ke Huy Quan's journey as an actor. After being labeled as a washed up child actor and being on a 20 year hiatus, he gets his major comeback and has won an Academy Award. I cried when he won.
It seems to me if you liked Short Round that you need to see The Goonies also starring a young Josh Brolin(Thanos) and Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee)in an action/adventure treasure hunt movie.
I totally think this entry in the series was/is a victim of bandwagoning hatred. It just became trendy to pan it as the "bad" or black sheep of the trilogy without any substantive justification. Ditto for all the Kate hate. We had a rough & tumble "tomboy" chick in the first movie, so it made sense to do something different this time around and have a prissy high society dame subjected to the camping trip from Hell. Capshaw played it the hilt and was likable despite her character being designed to be an "annoying" foil. It's gratifying to see that the movie is increasingly getting its due in more recent years and not just being treated as the hiccup between "the two good ones". They're ALL great, and I love how this one dared to be different and take a chance in an industry that is so risk-averse and formulaic.
I love all of the first three Indy movies, but, I proudly confess that this one is by far my favorite!! It was so creative and has so many wonderful elements and the fact that he ends up saving the children from Thuggee child slavery (and child trafficking so to speak) was very touching!
The late Pat Roach, he was a British wrestler. Held both the the Britsh and European championships . He appears in lots of films usually as a henchman of some description.
Did they really? :D I was hoping someone did, cuz I always thought all the eyerolling and scoffing about that sequence was unjustified. Certainly an inflatable raft is not as good as a parachute, but I have no trouble believing that it could significantly increase the chances of surviving a fall, albeit not without injury. I'll have to go check MB ep out. Thanks!
They called it "Busted". Episode 35, "Escape Slide Parachute". They found that raft would slow a single person's descent enough to be not lethal, but it is inherently unstable, and would always flip upside down. It could function as a parachute but you couldn't rig that up while jumping from a disabled aircraft.
It’s so nice to see you really loved this movie. It’s always been my personal favorite. I’m also glad to see you enjoyed the character of Willie. You totally understood it. So many people don’t like this movie because of her, but she is hilarious.
Yeah, of the 3 Indiana Jones movies (there are only 3), this is my favorite. It hits all the right notes and pays wonderful homage to the old action-adventure serials of a bygone era. It's just a fun romp that never lets up. And the villain is so over the top that you have to almost like him in a way.
I wasn’t there, so I can’t “officially confirm,” but George thought it would be fun to put a musical number into the middle of a Star Wars movie, which had just happened before this movie; therefore I’m sure this opening was George’s idea, and it’s fun!
Actually, the Mythbusters tested the emergency raft thing. They found that if you could get it inflated and stay on it. You would 100% survive the fall.
I haven't seen Dial of Destiny, so I don't know if he was brought back, but I think the way Short Round could be brought back is that he could be an archaeologist as well, inspired by Indiana, having a friendly rivalry with his mentor. As for Willie, I could envision her being shown to be an activist, using her fame to bring awareness to conservation causes.
As a fellow theater nerd, I know EXACTLY what you meant by the opening of this movie! "Anything goes?" Sure, but how about if it's in Mandarin? It's a spectacular way to introduce an audience to be prepared for...anything! (It delivers.) And that live theater feeling you get only from being at the live theater? It's very hard to explain to someone who hasn't been. Movies can only hint at it. Fun fact: When this movie came out, I remember reading interviews with Spielberg where he said he had a secret wish to direct a musical some day. (By the way, I'm a composer of musicals. We're a bit of a different breed: I'm not as chatty you self-proclaim to be! But I love show people. They're like no - well, you know.)
Temple of Doom is my introduction to the franchise, as a six-seven year old. It’s very very good. Fun fact: chronologically in the series Temple of Doom comes before Raiders.
One thing I love about Harrison Ford as an actor is how he plays the fight scenes - when his characters get the crap kicked out of them, he acts out the pain so damn good. This movie is one of the best examples of that.
As always, I love your genuine reactions. A little info about the opening musical number: When Spielberg made this film he really wanted to one day direct a musical. Since he did not know if that would ever happen he had a musical number written for his opening credits. I still have not seen WEST SIDE STORY but I am thrilled that he finally got to add a musical to his portfolio.
Great reaction! Fun fact, most of the conveyor belt fight was Harrison's stunt double Vic Armstrong, one of the best stuntmen and stunt coordinators in history. Harrison had badly injured his back and was off set for three weeks, this let them continue filming without their main star.
I grew up on Star Wars, Indiana Jones, then The Lord of the Rings. Seeing you react to Indiana brings back memories. I remember building a couch cushion fort and watching these for the first time on VHS
13:20 the first flight I give people in my plane, partway through the flight after getting altitude is to idle back without telling them, then fly around for 10min without power, them oblivious the whole time. The plane flies 100% fine without the engine. I just can't regain altitude without the engine. then I tell them we've been flying without the engine for the last 10min, and they have no clue. it's the best way to show people how safe planes are when the engine fails, without scaring anyone.
This was my first Indiana Jones movie. My parents took me to see this in the theater when I was 8. I remember loving it until the dinner scene and then I passed my bucket of popcorn to my sister because I lost my appetite 😂. This movie is basically the reason PG-13 exists. This was released as PG and a lot of parents were upset at the gore of this movie as they took young kids to see it.
I was 10 According to my parents the heart getting roped out of the chest was my last straw. I ran out of the movie theater. My mom tuck me across the street for ice cream whial the rest of the family watch the rest of the movie
Temple of doom is my favorite movie of all time. I was so lucky to be a kid when the indy movies came out. And of course my fav trilogy of all time. And of course ford my favorite actor of all time
I love your reacts. Although I'm a man I also have tears in my eyes when I see you are touched. Never shame about your tears. They're are the expressions of our joyful.
I remember seeing this in the theater when I was 8 seeing the trailer made me want to go see it. As I was watching it I slowly realized hey this is the same character from that Raiders movie I saw when I was 5. Needless to say this film was an experience. In fact this whole trilogy is a masterpiece. You’re gonna love the next one.
I saw the first three Indiana Jones films in a theater. I too love the opening to this one. There was a cleaver nod to old gangster films of the 30s, 40s, and 50s during the opening sequence. When the large diamond is flung unto the stage large buckets of ice are spilled onto the stage, covering the diamond. 'Ice' was slang for diamonds in those old gangster films.
It's great to see someone have so much fun with these movies. Never saw anyone cry at the opening before...but I enjoyed your story around why 😊. Raiders will always be my fave, but I enjoy Doom and Crusade quite a bit ... Equally. Agree with your take on just wanting good ol' entertaining movies, but it's quite clear that "they" just do not know how to make these any longer. Good thing we have films from the 30s through the 2000s to rewatch...forever.
Many said the love interest ruin the movie, yes she can be really annoying but this one is still my favorite Indy; the visuals, the darkness, the creepiest diner ever, the noble quest to bring back children instead going for a treasure hunt, it was refreshing, never seen another adventure movie like this one. If you're looking for good adventure movies after the third Indy movie I'd recommend Romancing the Stone (1984), and its sequel the Jewel of the Nile (1985), lots of fun and romance, you'll love it too.😉
33:11 From what I remember from reading the book years ago, at this point, Indy believed that there was a snake in his stomach wiggling around, and it didn't feel comfortable to him until he surrendered to Kali... or something like that. Been like 38 years or so since I read it, though. 45:46 "Where were all the kids hanging out until this point?" Probably with Indy and the regiment on their way back to the village. Remember, it took a couple of days to get to Pankot Palace. Probably took a bit longer to return if they had to feed and take care of the wounded children. Gotta' think about the logistics of these things. If you haven't seen it yet, Ke Huy Quan who played Short Round (Indy's little sidekick in this film) also appears as Data in "The Goonies" (1985), and has more recently appeared in Di$ney's "Loki" as OB.
"You know what we should put in this movie? All of it! Everything!" lol that sums it up nicely. When I was a kid I was a bit obsessed with this movie. I love reaction videos and getting to see it for the first time again through someone else's eyes, especially when you enjoy the film as much as I do :)
Second one made, but it’s actually set before Raiders of the Lost Ark. Temple of Doom is my favorite, then Last Crusade, and then Raiders. I hate when folks dismiss this as the weakest of the initial trilogy because I consider it the strongest installment. Short Round alone pushes this up to the top of the list.
The wildest thing about the opening number is that Kate Capshaw learned to sing the whole thing in Mandarin. She learned to sound out the whole thing before performing it, which, to me, is amazing dedication from a singer.
Loving your reactions to these movies. You are spot on, these movies are just sooo wholesome and entertaining. Not sure if you’ll see this but I’ve got a movie reaction proposal for you...”Krull”. No musical numbers but given your love for middle-earth in Lord of the rings, 80’s movies, fantasy, adventure and epic music I truly believe you will enjoy Krull. It was the first ever movie I watched on VHS my dad rented from Blockbusters, the movie is great I still love it, but as an adult and father I do question what my dad was thinking as I was 8 and my brother 6 years old, especially when you see he movie front cover 😮 but hey it was the 80’s! 😃
I loved the scene with Indy chasing that one guy, stopping, and turning around and fleeing as a bunch of other guys come after him. Reminded me of Harrison's scene in Star Wars when he chases a stormtrooper and then comes across several other stormtroopers, turns and runs away. (The special remade edition had a full bay of stormtroopers)
Loved your response to "Anything Goes." I'm not a theatre person (other than attending), but I also was captivated by the introductory scene to this movie. Pure movie ecstasy. (But Lost Ark is a better overall movie.) Also, your singing voice is quite beautiful!
13:30 you're actually right. by shifting weight, you can control a plane. In light planes, just leaning forwards and backwards in your seat can be enough. I used to use that trick to mess with my flight students to test their use of the trim. I also have used in on long cross country flights to fly a plane hands-free with no autopilot. I would trim it out, the fly hands off by just using the rudders and shifting my weight.
You make really high-quality edits. You leave in a lot of the film and the picture and sound are very good...and I can actually hear the sound. Some reactors have the sound so low I have to put the captions on, but some of those don't even have the captions available. Not my favorite movie, but I wanted to watch it because I figured you put a lot of work into it, which you did. And your enthusiasm is a lot of fun. Very nice job! :)
She hasn’t blown up yet. Once her channel hits high numbers and studios notice she will have to adjust volume and cut more scenes. Most of the better known reactors have to repost and re-edit multiple times because of constant copyright claims to music or certain scenes. For this reason I love finding newer commentators
💫 You like the opener? Me too, it's great. So can we expect a reaction to say, "Top Hat" (1935) at some point? And how many times have you watched "That's Entertainment!" (1974) or "That's Dancing!" (1985), etc.?
The actor who played 'Short Round' is Ke Huy Quan. He just won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, after a 20-year hiatus from performing.
And he had a reunion with Harrison Ford after all those years as well.
Also played Data in The Goonies!👍😁
Yeah, Everything Everywhere All At Once. His acceptance speech was one of the best ever.
Harrison even handed the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" cast/crew the the best picture award Oscar along with that famous finger point to Ke and a big hug. How serendipitous is that?? ❤
They should have brought Short-round back for the last Indiana Jones movie.

Very, very underrated.

You made it better with your commentary and your laughter. You're awesome.
Remove Willie and it's probably a decent movie. Otherwise, I think it gets the rating it deserves.
True
This is the most positive reaction to Willie I've ever seen a reactor to this movie give.
I myself have seen far worse and far more annoying characters than her
Indy's best moment in the movie series is when Indy says "Yes. All of us" and goes back for the children.
Especially the very next shot of him, silhouetted in the cavern after knocking a couple of cultists sprawling.
Actually makes me think of Rocket near the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3

Loved your sing along with Anything Goes. You've got quite the singing voice.
Glad to see you're enjoying these movies, they're such a fundamental part of my childhood. Next movie coming up is by far my favorite of the whole bunch, and even more comedy!
And you become the first person to ever weep at the Temple of Doom .. I love it!
Weirdly, the ONLY scene that ever disturbed/traumatized my 5-year-old self was the part with all the bugs and Kate Capshaw needing to pull that release lever. Still gives me anxiety TO THIS DAY.🤯
No shame there at all. I didn't even mock a friend for believing that was the origin of the phrase "having the Willies"
This is my favourite movie in the franchise. A perfect blend of horror, adventure, comedy and a brilliant example of amazing film making.
It was tested on Myhbustwrs years ago, and declared to be "Plausible".
The whole stage musical opening to this is so epic, AND bizarrely fitting ("anything goes" indeed)! 😂
In tears before the opening credits finished! Holy crap I'm gonna have to strap in for this reaction.
Yeah and every time I want to see her react to a certain scene she just skips right over it! 🙄
You’re one of the few people to catch that TOD is a prequel to the series, so bravo to you Miranda
The darkest, violent and most controversial Indiana Jones movie ever made. This, as well as Gremlins, inspired the MPA to create the PG 13 rating
Take care
Man, I wish we had gotten more Short Round in the later Indy films.
This was my first Indy movie in the theater, I adored it. For some reason it gets a ton of crap, it was great to see you enjoy it. Thanks.
Agreed, she should watch them all. I rank 5 as my 2nd favourite.
@@braytonwright6011seriously? Dial of Destiny is your 2nd favorite Indiana Jones movie? You got to be kidding me. That's disgraceful.
You're the most upbeat, pleasant person alive. As a dour cynic, you keep my universe bright. Keep being authentic, Miranda.
I saw this Film dozens of times in my youth and only realised it was supposed to be a prequel when i read the Films Wikipedia page
It's Willie. She's George lucas' proto-jar jar binks. Remove that character and this movie doesn't get as much hate.
Never heard any hate towards this till social media d-bags thought it would be cool to put it down
@@paulblay2330I remember pre-internet it was always kind of considered the ugly stepchild of the three.
@@ericstoverink6579Willie was Spielbergs contribution to this!
The opening of this movie sums up what you are gonna see in this movie.
Anything goes. Literally.
Oh my gosh, I can listen to you talk (and react) for DAYS! Thank you for sharing! :)
11:48 When they closed the door of the plane, it showed that it was the bad guy's (Lao Che) plane... that's why the bad guy and pilots shared "a look"
I'm glad you liked it. Back in the day I also thought the three first got better and better, but since then I always go back and forth on which of the three is my ultimate fave.
I'm also glad you liked Willie. A lot of people hate her, but I think she's a hoot.
The funny thing that I recently realized (SPOILERS)
is that this is the only one where Indy actually succeeded.
My favourite Indiana Jones film!!
I hate to say this to you but it's actually my worst Indian movie sorry
Mine too.
@@frankieeyre-gh8rj You think it's even worse that Crystal Skull? What's your fave?
Your giddiness at the "Anything Goes" intro is worth the price of admission. Lol.
This is my fav Indiana Jones movie
Another phenomenal video miranda. Temple of doom is my favourite indiana movie. Keep being amazing
The guard that went into the rock crusher, was played by the same actor who played the giant, bald German soldier in "Raiders".
The late Pat Roach, he was a British wrestler. Held both the the Britsh and European championships . He appears in lots of films usually as a henchman of some description.
The life raft scene out of the plane is actually plausible in real life, Mythbusters tested and confirmed it
Did they really?
It was busted. The life raft flipped upside down each time.
It’s so nice to see you really loved this movie. It’s always been my personal favorite. I’m also glad to see you enjoyed the character of Willie. You totally understood it. So many people don’t like this movie because of her, but she is hilarious.
I think most people get the purpose of the character...it's just that she's non-stop. They should have dialed her back a bit.
@@bossfan49 I can agree with that, but it never bothered me like it did others.
It’s impossible not to smile when you sing!
"Buy me dinner first" 🤣 🤣
Good one. 😅
"Sounds like it's gonna be a good time"
Me: gets out the popcorn "This lady bout to have her whole day ruined"
Love your shock and excitement for Anything Goes and listening to you singing along was a delight! :)
I love your singing voice! ♥
This is the first youtube channel ive joined. Your reactions are the greatest!
This is why in Raiders, Indy responds that Belloq is being nasty when he compares them. A year ago, it was true.
Just wanted to say thank you for the reactions. Love your humour and personality. Keep up the good work
Broadway movie called Staying Alive from 1983 starring John Travolta , all Broadway dancing
I love it !
45:46 "Where were all the kids hanging out until this point?"
Probably with Indy and the regiment on their way back to the village.
Great movie. And it's my favorite too. I couldn't get into the other ones as much as this one.
"You know what we should put in this movie? All of it! Everything!" lol that sums it up nicely. When I was a kid I was a bit obsessed with this movie. I love reaction videos and getting to see it for the first time again through someone else's eyes, especially when you enjoy the film as much as I do :)
9:42 The opening musical number is probably the most you'll like Willie. She mostly just screams the rest of the time.
Worth noting that Temple of Doom is the 2nd movie, but is a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Miranda I love your content, plus keep going. It is so calmly to listen To your comments
This girl is so charming. And that smile is magic.
You have such a great voice, love when you sing along. Also in case it wasn't mentioned, shout out for the Dan Aykroyd cameo in the airport scene.
