    Hey, I graduated from an herbalist program now in massage therapy. Next will be masters in acupuncture and Chinese medicine! Thank you for incorporating this into your healthcare system. In the US we are struggling to incorporate it, as it’s still looked as to far out there. Green also is the color of our heart Chakra, so being surrounded by green gets us out of our head and activates out heart. Thank you once again for this video.

    George, both you and your mum have very soothing voices. I very much enjoyed the tour around the gardens. My hope is for mainstream healthcare to become holistic using plants, meditation, movement practices like Tai Chi or Qigong, and psychedelics, where appropriate. The inspiring work of The Beckley Foundation shows the potential for healing with the latter.

      Mangokp actually that would be like mixing righteousness with evil. Because truly the word Sorcery in the Bible is the Word for Pharmaceutical and no sorcerers inherit them kingdom. The health we have is in the food we eat, including the good seed bearing plants. Mixing these all natural with the chemicals is like trying to mix oil n water. But the Sorcerers should come to the knowledge of the truth of what these seed bearing plants can do. Unfortunately they won’t because they are all about money and they can not make money off of what is natural. And if we truly ate right then we wouldn’t need them except maybe for a bone sticking out. I love being healthy and eating right out of the backyard or a stroll in the woods. I even chew on the bitter pine needles n then spit them out, they give so much vitality and energy! It’s amazing what these natural things can do for us.

      Native Americans make willow bark tea that has Aspirin or can boil it down to a white powder for putting directly on painful areas.

    • @TheBeginingGrace
      @TheBeginingGrace 4 роки тому +2

      It used to be yes... but pharma could not legally take anything naturally occurring and place a patent on it making millions of dollars unless they could chemically synthesize it into their own synthetic molecular compound. Thus today when we pop an aspirin it is not the same thing and has many side effects that come along with it that actually further help pharma in making more money. Imagine selling a drug to ease people's pain. People take it for years on end and then develop heart disease. Then ya just gotta make another medication that combats that and presto another money maker. When in fact the natural plant would never have done that to you in the first place. Just food for thought. Do with it as you wish.

    I found something new this summer and I am so excited about it. I am a collector of plants native to my property and I saw the oddest plant I have ever seen. It was growing from an almost dark forest floor and it was all white. I found out what it was a little late in the season but picked some of it anyway and made a tincture. I haven't tried it yet but one of the raw plant I had over 3 days and it was a unique experience. I am looking so forward to next spring. This Ghost is such a gift I need to be respectful and careful for the propagation. My forest stewardship is important to me, and much more so now in a much larger area. What a gift. Maybe your mom will make a comment about the white flower that grows in the dark of the forest and it's friagile, ultra sensative specail environment so that it is not stripped from the land. Ghost pipes are very important. They could so easily go extinct the way people scavenge plants. A lesson is needed.

      Beware that echinacea should not be used by people with autoimmune diseases. Use leaves and flowers. The roots of the plants usually have more concentration of their ingredients therefore are stronger and more dangerous if used without the instructions of a practitioner.

As I am a naturopath I uphold all efforts to rescue Nature's medicine cupboard before it's too late and integrate old and new medicine knowledge. I didn't know about the Bristol Botanic Garden or the NCIM so thank you for this video and all the great links. Thumbs up and Subbing!!

    No way, I am almost 100% sure i past you on the Leigh Woods National Nature Reserve around August 12th, you would have been going up the hill from the connecting cliffton suspension bridge trail and i was going down, I have a big naive blue 65L backpack and a penny bored with red wheels, as well at the time a pair of coconut shells hanging off the back if that jogs your memory at all. I should have stooped you and said hi but I doubted myself to much haha. love your videos by the way.

    I thought there was going to be several mins of watching you eat in real time at the end there. ;) Really interesting stuff, as a psychologist I've taken an immediate interest in the integrative centre and the botanical gardens in Bristol. Must pay them a visit.
