Installed DCR master and slave after and after a few pumps of the slave the whole system was bled. A lot more painless than I thought it would be. Thank you.
AutoFun yes sir We have couple Facebook Srt4 page that focus In help plp with Srt4 issues SoCalsrt4 and norcalsrt4 and Srt4 owners and I see your videos are really helpful hope one day I meet you I own a 2005 dodge Srt4 stone white acr edition
So put the car on rear jack stands the air will flow to the top. I also have a srt4 this was rather help full. I do all my Owen car work so this thing was not that bad.
Awesome famfirstalways, glad to hear that! yes elevating the car one jackstands on one end should help getting the air out. Thanks for watching man, keep that SRT4 going strong!
HI Bacoj! This would depend on your setup. My understanding, is that the Mopar master and cylinder comes prebleed to eliminate this step. However if going to induvial components, the importance of bleeding the system becomes paramount. Hope this helps, Cheers!
My dodge neon doesn’t have a container for transmission fluid it is rather a rubber plug on the side of the tranny to check the fluid how do to bleed it without the container???
Hi Andrew! Transmission fluid is different than clutch fluid. The tranny fluid is used to lubricate the transmission while the fluid I bleed from the clutch reservoir is used to actuate the clutch pedal. Cheers!
Hi Adolfo! I'm assuming you are referring to the locking tab in the slave cylinder? if so I haven't encountered that issue but if the locking tab is broken then slave will not be secured in place and can potentially come out of it's designed location. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Jose, this happened to me once, there was slight pressure on the clutch Pedal and that keeps the return path closed so no fluid can go back up, I had to loosen the clutch pedal rod temporarily to be able to push the slave back in.
I think it maybe just a matter of pumping and pumping, the service manual says 10 pumps but I noticed that Modern Performance recommends 50 to 100 pumps! which seem like a lot but I would try this and see if it helps, let us know if it helps!
As someone who recently purchased an SRT4, I am glad to see such detailed how-to videos in 2019. Great content!
Thanks Brian, congrats on your new ride and welcome to the SRT4 community!

What’s the order for the internals of the slave cylinder? Is it spring first then plunger or the other way around?
Gracias amigo buen trabajo

Is it really necessary to pump the master cylinder? If so can i still bleed it when i already installed and bled the slave?

Hey buddy what can happen if one locking tabs are damaged, or broken, would I start having any issues on engaging and disengage with clutch

I’ve had the problem where the slave rod won’t go back in. It feels as if it has too much pressure and won’t be let pushed in
