the reason Ryuji stands like that is because of his leg, if you didn't know lol he (Komoshida) broke his femur which is an extremely hard bone to break (you either throw someone, throw something heavy (maybe jump on it directly) or have to use a hammer and even with that it would be hard to break) anyway, and people who have gone through leg surgeries usually tend to push their body weight on one leg then the other and/or slouch to lessen the pain. If you look carefully you can see that he puts his left leg before the right one, he also tends to keep his heel up on that leg meaning he probably puts his body weight on the right. And when it comes to slouching I have heard that, having bad posture is common too and I personally really like how the game has portrayed it, how his leg injury affects how he walks, runs, stands, he also sometimes shakes his leg and changes positions to even out his body weight. another thing is if you look at Ryuji's persona you can see that on his right leg the persona has a bandage? stitch? kinda looking thing, well I can't really see why it's on that leg since I tough his injury was on the left but anyway looking at those small details really makes my day.

38:36 Directly translating common Japanese greeting phrases sure makes them sound quite dramatic. Pretty sloppy i think? Should have just translated it as "pleased to meet you" or something.
Apparently, the original Japanese there was intentionally over-the-top as well, so the translation is actually pretty accurate. P5MC is kind of sarcastic in many of his lines.
1:06:29 This might sound like a dumb question, but why does the menu look like that in his game? It's completely different in mine, but I'm also playing on PS4. Is this a regional difference between Europe and the US?

It’s a good game. It has its downfalls (like an impossibly long tutorial phase) but overall it’s a pretty good game with likable characters (at least, the main cast anyway)
people complain quite a bit about the game hand holding a bit but don't seem to realize that they would be fucked if it just through them into it people with experience in persona games would probably be fine but its fucking huge and stuffed full of things to do and sure the first like 5 or 6 hours are a bit stale? I guess you can say or a little wooden and expositiony but that kinda nessacary things need to get explained with how and why you got there who certain characters are on the surface level the general idea of where you are and a bit of what's going on sure it could be done more naturally but then the tutorial segment would be several hours longer than it already is and its not like it doesn't get a lot better and that's mainly because the exposition the fuck out of the early game so they can get to character interactions and story which are the main selling points of this game it just done in a turn based format
So the game spends 4+ hours of nothing, and that's necassary? Maybe more complex games don't even take that long to get you into the actual game. And throughout the game most of the scenes of the characters getting together aren't even needed and just feels like a waste of time and a day. It was quite annoying when you want to play the actual game but instead sitting around and talking to everyone somehow makes it so you can't go out that night.
@@anastasiao4036 I really dont think its 4 hours of nothing. It explains all of the games mechanics and introduces you into the world and the characters. All of those are important. The thing is, I agree that it would probably be possible to speed up the intro, but then people would complain that theres too much info all at once. There really is a lot going on,and it's best to spread out through 4-6 hours than in just 1 hour.

He still gave it a fair shot in the end, but he definitely cane into this playthrough looking to make jokes the whole way through. Glad he recognized that the game is more than just a weeb game in the end.
The entire Persona series is just one of my all time favorite games, and honestly brought back my love for the franchise. But honestly, now that I'm watching someone who isn't as "into" it play it I can definitely see some of it's flaws, like the fact that we're 5 hours into the play-through and we're just getting to the persona-switching aspect of the game. It's actually quite refreshing because it points out things I never noticed about the game before, and your humor just makes it a lot more fun to deal with.

It be in Japanese if he was weeb
im still fighting not becoming a weeb broski 😔
"I hope you live, Morgana. You're my favorite character"
*several parts later*
"FUCKING CAT, THIS IS WHY NOBODY LIKES YOU-"
This game didn't become Undertale, Undertale directly took that idea from games way earlier in this series.
Whaddya _mean_ "Shin Megami Tensei isn't a rip-off of Undertale"?
It is true that the first Shin Megami Tensei's had this mechanic since the 90s, but idk if Undertale directly took it from that, especially when the Tensei series were so damn niche back then
Size doesn't mean everything Toby Fox directly credits SMT as an inspiration.
Oof didn't know that
The illusion of gaia never was a persona game.
honestly, stumbled upon the streams a while ago and just now realising how incessantly joe uses ‘daijobu?’ like it’s ridiculous when he uses it, it’s funny. and the ironic ‘fOr ReAl?’
Saw this as a play list and went
“How could there be only 26 videos he must not have played it thru”
But than I saw they were 6 hours long and smacked myself
38:36 Directly translating common Japanese greeting phrases sure makes them sound quite dramatic. Pretty sloppy i think? Should have just translated it as "pleased to meet you" or something.
Apparently, the original Japanese there was intentionally over-the-top as well, so the translation is actually pretty accurate. P5MC is kind of sarcastic in many of his lines.
The , 'Did you know I've been expelled' and the 'L-leon!' quotes are both huge memes in my friend group, lmao 😂
I might be wrong here, but i think the main character might have been expelled or something. How's that for a game theory?
Idk man not really getting that feeling from the characters. He seems like someone who has some kind of criminal record though, so maybe
might have to call up MatPat
Thats insane man. Most theories at least have some evidence. I just dont see it as a possibility, sorry dude.
Dialogue options show up

Joseph; exchanges contact info with someone.
Also Joseph; do you wanna know my blood type?
I like the jokes about good gameplay and narrative choices.

Haru: First they took my screentime and now my Persona
1:06:29 This might sound like a dumb question, but why does the menu look like that in his game? It's completely different in mine, but I'm also playing on PS4. Is this a regional difference between Europe and the US?
SOME SPOILERS! (I think)
6:04:15 I'm pretty sure you could romance any female confidant EXCEPT for her XD
Yep, literally the only one you can't.
Well luckily you can't romance the velvet Lolis (You have the scene where Lavenza confesses, but that is literally in like the last hour of the game and that's not a relationship)
9:31 is the beginning of positivity I think
you have the oldest comment
It's unsettling to hear that baby crying in the background
I don't know in what way you mean that. But they seem to be good parents, you don't need to worry about neglected or abused children.
Comments:
90% he got expelled
10% something irrevelant.
Btw did you know that the main protagonist actually got expelled. Y i know crazy it's kind of hidden between the lines.
I started watching this because I like hearing Joe's commentary as background noise and I wasn't planning on playing this game (so spoilers would be irrelevant). By the end of the stream I planned on purchasing the game and stopped watching the series (I will continue as I play it)... That rarely happens.
Yeah, this game is so good
It’s a good game. It has its downfalls (like an impossibly long tutorial phase) but overall it’s a pretty good game with likable characters (at least, the main cast anyway)
It's a good game but did you know that you got expelled? It's kinda hidden.
@@eleanorcooke7136 wait what? Ive played through the game twice and I never knew that. Where does it say that?
@@Eagledude131 "you were expelled from your last school". I'm not sure but he might've been expelled.
"I was expell... you know" LMAO
Ayyy Im back again after 4 years and this shit is still gold.
Waffles gaslighting Mr. Ushimaru is the funniest thing I've ever witnessed.
3:09:55 “honeydicked”? How have never heard this beautiful slang before?
5:14:36 "Did we just get another Blade?" I Died.

Joseph: *WHEEZE*
JoJoker's bizzare adventures.
people complain quite a bit about the game hand holding a bit but don't seem to realize that they would be fucked if it just through them into it people with experience in persona games would probably be fine but its fucking huge and stuffed full of things to do and sure the first like 5 or 6 hours are a bit stale?
When you went back to kamoshidas palace and ryugi wanted to memorize their faces because the camers didnt work, l loved your idea of memorizing the jersey numbers instead, I didnt think of that and I feel stupid for not because its honestly a solid idea! also I noticed sometime you are a really quick on the uptake kinda guy and other times its more like pepega clap
I didn't know why I expected any different, but I didn't expect that I'd have had to bring a bucket for this many nits that keep falling after he picked them. For real though, I am actually really glad you're doing this game. It was my game of the year last year and replaced Persona 4 as my favorite game of all time. I know if I were to review the game I wouldn't be able to do it a complete work over like you would. Can't wait for the video, if you're doing one.
Unfortunately, he said he's not making the video on Persona 5, at least in foreseeable future. He's just playing it for fun.
PopulateTheMoon persona 4, is trash. Get actual taste
You should knew that by now but i just want to remind you again: He's already expelled and transfered because he save that woman in the beginning of the game.
wait he was expelled??
Yes my constant badgering to play Persona 5 finally paid off!
One of the greatest games of this generation. And in my opinion, of all time.
Wish he would’ve came into the game with a more open attitude but everyone should experience this game in one way or another regardless. A fantastic narrative with some of the best art and music ever in gaming. Memorable characters and intense story segments. A 10/10 game if I’ve ever played one.
Excited to watch this 100+ hour play through!
Ryan West I don’t want to watch someone play Persona 5 if they’re gonna brag about having it and go “OMG ThIs GAmE Is Soo GooD, MmMmm Sooo huuuuuuuuhddhdhdhhdh”
4 is better
Boko 4 is ok. Himmdaisy’s comic is probably the best description of the game
Hanate Monstas 4’s characters were way more memorable. I do personally like P5 better for it’s engaging combat, but 4 is better in terms of character.
Megacomet I don’t want that either. But he was immediately dismissing the game before giving much of a chance because it’s a weeb game. He still gave it a fair shot in the end, but he definitely cane into this playthrough looking to make jokes the whole way through. Glad he recognized that the game is more than just a weeb game in the end.
Imagine not realizing that Morgana's catchphrase is "go to bed"
The entire Persona series is just one of my all time favorite games, and honestly brought back my love for the franchise. But honestly, now that I'm watching someone who isn't as "into" it play it I can definitely see some of it's flaws, like the fact that we're 5 hours into the play-through and we're just getting to the persona-switching aspect of the game. It's actually quite refreshing because it points out things I never noticed about the game before, and your humor just makes it a lot more fun to deal with.
Same, but I'll admit the over-sarcasm with him got pretty old at some point. Like, okay I get it. Making fun of the same flaws over and over again just like how the game explains the same mechanics multiple times.
That expelled joke will never not be funny tho lol
please joseph do yourself a favor and turn the music volume up a notch.
for everyone who "rivers in the desert" rings a bell knows what im talking about
A RIVER IN A DRYYYY LAAAAANNND
did you know he was expelled
Lol I like your profile pic
I've thought about it, but I wasn't sure if he did get expelled, y'know?
He was expelled?
I think he was expelled
I don't think so, there's not enough evidence
Every twenty-something minuites I spontaneously break down into laughter because I remember he was called Waffles Dadapon 😂
I love how he says sun-deer
Nobody:
Not a single soul:
None of the top-tier waifus in the goddamn universe:
Persona 5: Subtly hints at the idea that you, the protagonist, were expelled from your original school and forced to move to a new one 10/10 writing
If Joe doesn’t like Morgana being a cat, then he must love what Teddie becomes in Persona 4.
is anyone gonna talk about how joe makes akiras voice a deep goth even though he has a significantly higher voice in cannon its hilarious
LMAO

Yet another proof of how genius Oda is. Setting up the Confront Bode moment 5 years in advance!
2:57 biggest mistake of this entire stream
gonna start this persona 5 marathon, wish me luck guys!
