Most interesting, though is that there is full voice acting, with Yuri Lowenthal (Yosuke’s English dub VA) in the game for the romantic rank, implying that the option was scrapped late into the game, as it was still in the script when the English dub was recorded. It’s pretty likely that it was always planned, but eventually scrapped due to worries of controversy in Japan, especially with Persona 4 already having many direct and indirect references to queerness. Aside from dialogue for dates that wasn’t in the game and would have to be custom made, all those mods actually do is re implement the scrapped code and voice lines.

I feel that the original voice actor fits the character better because the VA gives her a much more tomboyish voice. But then again the first version I played was the PS2 version so I'm heavily biased
That's the impression you got from the original VA? I thought that she gave a distinctly mature feeling to the character-- it's not jarring in and of itself, and if I didn't play Golden first I'd probably be right with you, but I didn't, so maybe that's why I feel Fitzgerald accomplished that better.

I think the Japanese voice actor was much better at representing Chies personality through her voice. I'm not one to think the Japanese voice lines are inherently better, I just sincerely think Chies Japanese VA did a better job than her English VA.

One of my friends who studies Japanese explained to me that 18 is considered an adult legally, but 20 is generally when someone is considered adult Hence why there's is a difference in 18↑ and 20↑ when people state their age range

Nah the location of the TV is what matters if they tried using the same TV from another location they would just end up somewhere else in the Midnight Channel. But I wonder what would have happened if someone bought the TV that the Investigation Team uses to enter the Midnight Channel would they just have to find a new way to enter the Midnight Channel?.
