Thank you! One of the very best videos I've seen, capturing all of Brooks Camp, not just the Falls we all love so much. Brought back great memories of walking in your very steps.
Thank you so much, I watch on the live cams so it was a pleasure seeing such clear and close film of recognizable bears. I will share with co-workers who are thinking of going next year.
My coworker got one night in Aug of 2025. I’m already packing 😂 she keeps worrying that it’s August and there won’t be as many bears. I say a pile a skat and a seeing Grazer would make me happy. And Otis, 747,856, 910s and on and on. Have a great trip.
Awsome video. I do a lot of solo hiking and camping, and have encountered large black very close. Although not brown Bears it still creates a feeling of an exciting anxiety, and sometimes more so anxiety (fear) without the excitement. I understand the feeling of not knowing what's around the next bend in the path. Thank you for this great footage.
Thanks ! that’s a good way to describe it ! mostly exciting anxiety exploring the unknown, but an occasional level of pure fear as well ! Tent camping across Alaska it was always in the back of our minds ! Keep enjoying the solo hiking, nothing better 👍
Yes I'm viewing your Alaska series now, and a great trip you had! Even though it gets dicey sometimes, we love the adventure and just cant stop! Haha@@angusexpeditions9940
Love your video, it’s really well done! I think my wife and I were actually on the platform with you and we have a lot of similar footage. What a cool experience!
Looks like you got a heap of great footage to ! Just checked some of it out and some of it does look very similar, awesome experience hey, hopefully make it back one day ✌️
Great video with a lot of great information for those who never had the chance to get there. I will be there for the first time with a group of photographer friends this July and I just shared your video to our group messenger and everyone appreciated all the effort. One quick question, are you fully free to walk along the park without a guide? Thank you for your time and looking forward to watch more of your videos.
Thanks ! Yes you are free to walk around with no guide, their are a few rules / guidelines to follow though which they talk you through when you arrive .. I should also mention that during the day there is generally a wait (not overly long) at the brook falls platform, the ranger takes your name and calls you over once it is your turn. enjoy your trip it is unreal !
G'day Angus, great to see another Aussie getting amongst it at Brooks. I'm planning a trip this July, wondering if I can get in touch with you and pick your brain. I'm an aussie, living in Truckee California. Cracking video btw
Awesome mate , Yeh there’s a few of us around ! I’m no expert on the area but I’m happy to share any info of how I went about it . Feel free to private msg me on Instagram if that helps - azzaangus - cheers 👍
You've never watched the Eagles then, lol- slow peck of death. But in reality "normal" animals don't offer a quick death to much of what they hunt and eat to survive.

Thanks, that means a lot ! You are right the falls are amazing but there is also so much more to see !

You’re welcome ! I spent a fair bit of time on the live cams before I went as well, great way to check out the bears !
I’m going next summer. I can hardly wait. You got a great video of 128 Grazer and her two cubs at the falls!
Thanks, would love to get back there soon ! Enjoy your trip, it will be amazing !

Was a 400 length long enough? I am going next July and I have a 150-600 but it is heavy so would rent 150-400 is that is good.
Yeh I found 90% of the time 400 hundred was enough for a full frame camera. was the odd occasion where a bit of extra reach would have been nice 🤔
natural cubs fighting playing will be more better than music
Cool story 👍
Grizzly land, lovely stuff.
Epic place , thanks !
so bears are cruel animals , he strips the skin of that salmon while it's still alive... He should kill the fish first, like normal animals do 🙄
not a good day to be a salmon in katmai !
Ну и бред!
