There is a bug regarding the ball and the paddle, if you try to make a REALLY close save where your paddle passes through it like a knife, it frantically gives you points, because It thinks its hitting the paddle. To fix it, in the ‘If Touching Paddle’ script, replace the Wait 0.5 seconds with a Wait until Not Touching Paddle block.

Hi, Zinnea first of all thank you for making these videos. Can you make a game in which characters can talk in the recorded voice which we can record and talk with each other?
This is a fantastic tutorial video! We need more tutorials just like this, with all of the detailed explanations for all types of games that can be made using Scratch! Thank you!

Great video, my son loves making games rather than sitting on his computer, also learning coding language such as loops, variables and greater than. Thank you.
To do the bounce, you can make 2 variables start x and start y. At the start set those variables to the current x and y. Then, change x by 9999 and THEN use the if on edge bounce and then finally go to x (start x) y (start y)
Hi Zoe, im having trouble to see the sprite above top right window when getting the ball or the backdrop. (min 1:05) I can only see the ball (greyed) in the coding window :(
What if you added an “inventions” button in the “choose a sprite” menu, and make it so people can share their sprites with other people, including the code in it! It’s fine if you decide not to do this, it’s just a suggestion. Keep up the good work! :D
